I had been a customer of this nail salon for 2 years. After trying different manicurist/pedicurist at this nail salon, I was very impressed by Angel's service and I continued to get manicure/pedicure from her consistently. Unfortunately, over my past 2 visits the owner & his wife Angel have been very rude, unprofessional, dishonest and impolite.
On my prior visit, I had booked my manicure/pedicure with Angel. I checked in on time, however, I was told that Angel was sick with belly ache and thus another therapist will look after me. I reluctantly agreed, but then I realized that Angel wasn't sick. She was providing nail extension service to another customer at the same time. They could have easily informed me about this change and I could have rescheduled my appointment with her, however, they clearly value quantity of business over quality. They also don't mind lying to their customers.
I booked another visit with Angel today ignoring my previous experience and hoping to give them another chance. I thought of the prior visit as an aberration and was hoping that they would win me back. Unfortunately, the experience turned from bad to worse. Angel started my pedicure and told me that she was doing this treatment as a "favor" and that "she could make more money by dedicating the same amount of time to another customer needing nail extension". I was clearly upset at her statement. I am not sure why she accepted my request for an appointment with her but was reluctant to offer treatment 2 hours later. I expressed my displeasure with her behavior. Her husband (the owner) and Angel both started to argue with me. I asked them to terminate the service, paid for the treatment and left.
I have no plans on going back to this nail salon. Their behavior with me over the last two visits has involved lying, being dishonest, unprofessional and rude. I would have expected them to be honest and let me know that they are unable to guarantee a specific therapist or accommodate my request. I can then make an informed decision. However, they have lied to me on two different occasions.
The owner and Angel, inadvertently, let it slip that they were gossiping about me in their native language when I arrived. They mentioned this to me during my argument with them. They should understand that it is impolite to speak another language in front of someone specifically because you don't want that person to understand what you're saying.
I wish they will make amends and treat their customers right and with respect in future. Read Less
