I've gotten full sets here 4 times and I am officially done going there. Charging $50 for uneven and bumpy nails is unacceptable. Each time Ive had multiple pop offs within 2 weeks, when they are supposed to last 3 weeks with maybe having 1 or 2 lifts. The woman I had this last time blew her stinky breath on my nails and that was enough for me to be done. Also, the time before that, It was my first time ever wanting a fill in and not a full set. I had 2 pop offs and the rest needed to be filled in about 4 millimeters. She somehow managed to prey on my naivete and got me to agree to have her take them off and do a full set again. Yes it was my bad, but basically she used me to make that extra money. Every time Ive gone in, they have their kids at the mall unsupervised, coming in and out of the salon giving workers starbucks and food while working with clients. I came in here one day to get my nails done for an event. The girl was out on the floor doing something and when she came over, she was really rude and condescending. She didn't tell me the prices either. I told her what i wanted and she told me to pick out colors. I asked her 3 questions and every time she acted like it was a huge inconvenience and she didn't understand what I was asking. When I asked her the final question she sighed, rolled her eyes, and snapped at me in an annoyed and disgusted voice "How should I know? I don't know what you want!" I’ve experienced this place multiple times and each time I go there’s an issue. I ask for a fill and a cut down they charge u for everything. Which is fine until the make your hands bleed and talk bs in their language then expect for u to not have an attitude. Their normally rude and unprofessional. I wouldn’t go back. This place have bad customer service. (Or maybe it was just the girl that helped me) First of all they don’t greet you. When I came they didn’t say hi or welcome or greet me at all the girl just kept asking “what can I get you”... so I gotten my nails done by her and she seem to be irritated or something and was on her phone. She did not clean my nails or clipped my nails at all. I went home and cleaned it myself. And the price was super high. All I got from there was attitude and unclean nails. On 4/04/18, I waited 15 minutes and was skipped over and I alerted the workers but was treated very rude! Dismissed and told return the next day, after I sat there was told I was next but was skipped over. I can't really say it was great or terrible. What stands out is how fast she went. For me, in a bad way. I can do this at home for no cost. When I pay someone to give me a pedicure, I want it done well. Take your time, get stuff right and be thorough. AND, I don't want to have to watch people to make sure they are doing stuff right. I feel that I needed to this time. She went so fast that I don't think the appropriate layers (i.e. coats) were applied. Which reinforces why it might not have lasted as long. They weren't even busy, there was no need to rush. Not saying I wouldn't go again but only if I'm in the area, I wouldn't seek it out. Nail salons are everywhere. If a business expects to build loyalty there needs to be a reason. Why should I repeat at one place over others? Businesses need to answer that question. Read Less

I had gotten a gift card for this place for Christmas I had 82$ to spend I got a basic pedicure I had never had one before, I enjoyed it the lady did a really nice job. I also got pink gel acrylic nails with white tips and rhinestones, the guy who did my nails paid attention to detail and didn't get an attitude or frustrated with me as I was admittedly very specific and picky about how and where I wanted the stones. Checked nearly everything on my list - reasonable prices, liners in the tubs for cleanliness, open late, comfy (not aggressive) massage chairs & plenty of them! Pedicure was average - looked good at the salon, but upon closer look & feel, it wasn't stellar. About as good as I've had at other places in Milwaukee. This salon is located in the lower level of the mall, down the hall from Starbucks. I have been a customer since the salon opened and have never had a bad experience. I usually get one of the higher end pedicures and a standard manicure, and I have never been rushed or received poor service. Helen and Lee are my favorite techs, but all are properly trained. Was in town and needed to kill a few hours. I needed a mani so I came here. I regret it greatly. I waited about 10 min, not bad. My tech spoke no English so I played the guessing game with her. She took almost an hour to complete my mani. She left my nails very uneven and jagged. I asked her to round them and she did. She layer so many coats of polish and I think it's because of the poor quality of products. I also paid for a polish change for my 4 year old, I can do a better job painting her nails. The nail salon looked like it could use a good scrub down too, looked dirty. Wish I would have read the reviews before getting my nails done here. Stay away! If you don't mind being quoted the wrong prices and being over charged and don't mind them not understanding you because they do not speak any English, nor do you mind that they charge you for removing shellac even though they didn't remove any, then you have the right place. Horrible customer service and very rude employees. One of them had the audacity to ask me if I spoke English while trying to explain to me why my total came to $68 and not the $56 that I was quoted. I only get acrylics done for holidays and my birthday, so I went to this place about 4 times the past year and had never gone anywhere else, just for the convenience factor. I went to get a set done across town at a new store the other day and it took me until then to realize that was what happening at Polaris wasent good service. The sets I were getting at Polaris were not consistently shaped and they would miss little parts of the painting here and there. I assumed that was something that always happened but after going to the new place and saw how perfect they were, and for $28, I got angry at myself for being naive. My intuition about Polaris was right; if I pay you nearly $40 for a set they should be FLAWLESS. I also assumed their rudeness was because, well I thought nail artists were rude as a stereotype to be honest, but found that is not the case whatsoever. My new place had wonderful staff and I could understand them- but at Polaris i've had my hands slapped away and "held forcefully" if not in the proper position. They never said a word to me except for asking for my money. Also the store is right near the entrance so employees who go out and smoke are seen my customers and my nail guy went out for a smoke while I was waiting for a ride and wondered, is he going to go back in and touch strangers' hands? Hopefully he washed them. Finally, they bring their children to the mall and let them run through the store and corridors. One time a kid stood at my station and was staring at my nails and talking to my artist and it was just, unprofessional. You don't bring your kids to work - I'm sorry. At least don't bring 5. Went in for the first time yesterday for a gelish off and back on. Watched as the woman used the acetone then squeezed it back into the bottle to reuse. When I came back to complain I got shouted at and spoken down to until I eventually got my money back. Won't recommend to anyone and won't be back. Read Less

I bought a gift certificate for my teenage sisters whom never had their nails done before. They were super excited and couldn't wait to get their nails done. My sister had someone who was super rude, loud and was making rude comments about my sisters preference on how she wanted her nails. She was not friendly and just seem like she was in a rush. I can't believe how horrible my sister was treated. If this is how they treat their customers, very low, then they need to shut down and take customer service lessons! Horrible! Came here for the first time today because I was referred by a girl at that Mac shop. Didn't have high expectations, but not sure if I will be back here again. The shop itself is cute, they did a great job remodeling. The customer service isn't bad and the girl doing my nails did make an effort to talk to me etc. I came in for an acrylic fill with no chip which was originally priced at about $32 with the 10 percent discount for the  grand opening . I actually ended up paying $35, because they charge an  additional $3 to cut down your nails. Where they do that at? Also,  I asked for my nails to be a natural short yet soft round shape, and they are clearly square. They are really nice but probably won't be back. Read Less
