As Iβm sitting in the massage chair getting my pedicure from the same woman I had last time I got a pedicure, my skin is ready to fall off of my bones. This happened the last time I had her too. As soon as I saw that she would be taking care of me today, I was instantly terrified and anxious. She digs her tiny, bony fingers into my calves and shins. A nice massage is what I want, but I see no logical reason to be pressing so hard into my tibia bone. Sheβs using her nails to scratch the bottom of my feet too. Thank god im not too tickilish, because HOT DAMN, I was about ready to jump out of my massage chair (which was also very rough on my back, the buttons on the remote were so confusing). Iβm absolutely horrible at confrontation, I didnβt have the heart to tell her that she was putting me in absolute agony. She was very kind and smiley and I just couldnβt break her spirit no matter how excruciating it was to have her rub my bones down to twigs. I canβt imagine how other people feel when they get pedicures from this woman. This has always been the place I go to get my nails done, but after today, Iβm not sure anymore. I normally donβt write reviews, but someone needs to bring awareness to this issue before someone like children or the elderly come in for a relaxing pedicure and end up with no skin to show for it. Overall, I love coming here. But the abuse has gone too far. At the end of my journey here, she was massaging my neck and back while my toes were drying, I thought she was mad at me. I donβt know if thatβs how itβs supposed to be, but I didnβt like it. And now, for the icing on the cake, I SWEAR to Mary, mother of Jesus, that she was trying to pop a pimple on my neck. I was very uncomfortable. Nothing else mattered at the point that I felt her pick at my neck. For anyone who is wondering, her name written on her apron was Kate. Please be aware and watch out for Kate, the butcher of New York Nails Bar! Read Less
