I went with a gift certificate that was given by dear friends. I felt like cattle being herded through a field. The tech was nice, but did a poor job removing my gel polish. I'm here right now. They got myself and my friend in, they're busy but my friend had her pedicure going before I and here I am done with mine and she's still getting he pedi done. Don't rush!! Way to drive your customers out. My manicure is probably going to be rushed also. They didn't get the nail polish even to sides and my nails are not evenly cut. My friends nails have bubbles on them. Great decor, nice ambience, but some of the girls working there are rude and could do with working on their customer service skills! I went there yesterday evening to get my nails done. I asked the young lady assigned to me about the difference between acrylic, gel and shellac. . She could not respond effectively, other than tell me the price difference. Okay, this was followed up by her piercing the skin on two of my nail beds when trying to remove the Sns nail color. No apo...logy rendered, though she saw me cringing each time she applied the alcohol based products. She asked me to wash my hands which I did and having wiped them dry, she still ordered me to go use the paper towel since there was minimal dampness! Whaaat? When I chose the nail colors she abruptly got me a different color and reminded me about the price several times. I was past caring! It had been a long day at work and I am not one to create a scene! However, I came home feeling humiliated!what the hell was that all about. I was wearing my sweatpants and hoodie. Too downmarket? I am brown . Not the right color? This is the one and only place that I will get my nails and those of my children done. These ladies are always honest when you ask a question about what will look right, best product, etc. They are not focused on the upsale or upcharge. They are focused on what you need and what will work for you! They are so wonderfully clean and focused on keeping it that way. I have been elsewhere and usually come out with either pain in the area of which the pedicure cutting happens, or I have gotten an infection. Never again! My girls at the Village are the best in the biz! Put all of that along with a 20min leg/foot/toe massage and the finishing touches with hot stones, and I'm walking out as a happy clam every time!!! When I walked in the gentleman was in a zero gravity lounger. He came up and started taking care of me. I told him I needed one nail fixed he started working on my nails and then some women who I have no idea who she was or why took over for him and kept filing my nails. Burnt me three times with the drill. she asked me if I'd like my nails shorter I told her just a tiny bit. She filed my nails to half the length they were and they are not even!!! The shapes don't even match. My left middle finger is way shorter and square round instead of round like the rest. Not to mention all have bumps and bubbles! There's acrylic and gel on my cuticle as well as the sides of my fingers. It is by far the worst nail experience I've ever had!!! Let me state that my nails are real with an acrylic overlay so to have them cut so short and look so horrible is unacceptable. I will never go here again nor would I ever recommend them. Read Less

I have gone here for years and always gotten good service. However after my recent trip my polish started peeling off (like the polish pulled off in a whole sheet off my nail) a day after is was put on. I went in and told owner that when the girl did my nails that she didn't put the base coat on like they typically did. He said that's why they peeled off. I asked if it would happen to the remaining 8 nails he said he didn't know but possibly. I left thankful he fixed the two.... I came back 2 days later with 3 more that had fully peeled off this time he acted as if he never said it was the base coat but that it was my fault because my nails were too long. To me that was a joke because my nails are pretty short. I asked if he was serious and said yes it was basically my fault. I have no problem with someone accidentally forgetting a basecoat but for him to lie and deny that is was their error and now say it's mine ...no way.
