I had my hair cut by Michelle. I gave her photos of ideas that I had and she hit it out of the park! It was exactly what I wanted and framed my face in the best way! Then I went to Gayle for an all over color. I wanted to go from dark brown to red, which is a very tricky task (what I was told from multiple stylists). She did a fantastic job! She also gave me great tips about how to keep the red from fading. I am a few weeks out and my hair cut and color is the best it has been in years. I just moved back to this side of town and I used to go to the salon about 13 years ago. I went in a couple days ago to get highlights done. I spent almost 3 hours there only to come out looking like I used one cheap at home color on my hair. All all I needed was partial blonde highlights with my roots done. My whole head ended up darker and you can barely see the highlights I already had. It's like I took a box of brown and just put it through my hair myself. I have never had this happen. She was stuttering and stammering and looked absolutely panicked and she couldn't explain to me why my hair turned out that way. I have never had this happen before at any Salon. My hair takes color takes very easily. I know she messed up and she didn't want to say she did and they charged me $76 for a partial highlight because they wanted me to come back to get it fixed. I don't have time for this. She was also the slowest Stylist I've ever known. She even made a comment that they schedule more time for her. I am not taking 3 hours to go back and have them fix this by somebody who messed it up to begin with. Friendly stylist but I shouldn't have been charged and they should have fessed up that she messed up and offered to fix it immediately by another stylist. Amanda is amazing!! She cut both my daughters (13&5) hair and they were so happy! 13 year olds can be quite picky and she gave her exactly what she wanted. She can't wait to go back. My 5 year old really wanted a Bob and that's what she got she was so excited to show off her new cut to her friends. All the girls that work there are extremely friendly. I would highly recommend it! I came to this location for a shellac manicure. The website reads: "NOW Featuring Shellac Polish. The innovative nail polish is described as the "Hybrid Nail Color. On Like Polish. Wears Like Gel. Off In Minutes. Once applied it can last up to two weeks. $31.00". This is misleading as the price actually depends on which "level" associate you schedule with. Although when scheduling I stated I was a first time client, this was not explained to me. Additionally, I have very weak nails so I put tips on as needed when my nails break to make them all the same length. 500 piece sets on Amazon go for anywhere from $5-10 for the set - this salon charges $5 PER nail tip. Again, something that was not explained. The salon I frequent in Hales Corners thankfully carries no extra charge for an occasional nail tip if needed. The Shellac manicure and nail tips totaled twice as much in comparison. If the quality of the service was significantly more exceptional, I would not see these details as concerning. However, the quality of the materials as well as service were equally comparable. The location is clean and the staff were friendly, this just isn't a place I would frequent for nail services. Went in today for a haircut, got set up with Michelle and it was excellent. She listened to what I wanted and helped me pick the right length. Friendly atmosphere, clean and moderately priced. (The stylists do have levels (ex. Level 1 stylist is $35 vs level 4+ stylist $45+ so ask about pricing before if you need to budget it). I haven't had my nails done here (yet) but I heard when I was there that they just got new chairs/tubs for pedicures & the nail/ spa area looks calming & nice. Mentioned it was my first time when I went in & a client overheard and said I won't regret it that she's been going there for years... also saw other clients leaving very satisfied with their services.Will be coming back & referring friends :) Read Less

Went here for the first time this past week. I live only a mile away and can't believe it took so many years to go in! I saw Beth and she was fun to talk to, very welcoming and of course did a great job on my hair. Even gave me a sample for this new "air dry" gel for my curly hair which I used today and just love! She also ended up doing my brows at the last minute. She was so patient with me as I got them just the way I wanted them. She gave great advice for issues I've had with my hair and gave recommendations as to what products use. I've been using those products and they've been working great. She does an awesome job. I had my hair done by Gayle. It frustrates me when I have been getting my hair highlighted for over 15 years the same way and they ignore me when I tell them what works best with my hair. It's my hair I work with it daily- I promise I know it better than you. I tried in 10 different nice ways to say it doesn't take color well and hold color long so I need it really light so it doesn't wear out soon. Instead I ended up with blond highlights that no one could tell were there. It's been 20 days now and it's worn to the point where's it's yellow. If I could give a negative rating I would. Horrible job on shellac manicure ....4 nails have split/broke and yet they criticized the Asian salons. Yeah well I spend half as much and shellac lasts 3 to 4 weeks. Theirs looked like shit after 3 days. Didn't even have me wash hands. Shellac manicures move to the burbs! OK ever since I started working in the burbs, I've been looking for a place to get a manicure on lunch. I think I found it. Usually, I am skeptical of a hair place masquerading as a nail salon (I feel they should be 2 separate entities). I was able to get a last minute appointment, the salon was clean, and everyone was friendly. My shellac manicure was great and you could tell the technician knew what she was doing. Manicures and pedicures with Jenny and Halina are fantastic. Both of them do a great job with the filing, foot/hand massage, and polish, and I know I can count on either of these pros to make my nails look fantastic. The salon is super clean and pleasant, and the pedicure chairs are super comfortable (and in a little separate nook next to the manicure stations). Everyone I've encountered at Oasis, from making the call for an appointment, to being greeted in the salon, has always been friendly and professional.  The only reason they don't get five stars is it's not the hippest, most stylish building, and they don't seem big on frou-frou extras (like complimentary herbal tea or iced water with lemon slices) but I can enthusiastically recommend Oasis on all other counts quite highly. I've been to Oasis Spa four times, once for a manicure, once for a pedicure, once for a facial, and one eyebrow waxing. My first complaint is pretty standard for any sort of spa-- after the facial, I felt pressured to buy products that were used on me during the facial. Not fair, especially considering it was too soon to know if I even liked them yet. This didn't happen after my manicure or pedicure. I am turned off of facials for a while, mainly because the process was uncomfortable, not relaxing, and my face broke out for over a week afterwards. I suppose this is pretty standard, and shouldn't be held against the products or the facial, but I was disappointed.  The steam made it hard for me to breathe, and the coverings she placed over my eyes did nothing to guard them against the bright lights used to inspect my pores and do "extractions," which is a fancy way of saying she scraped my face with a blackhead remover, which hurts like heck. I was most happy with the manicure, which was relaxing and really beautiful (plus, I really love that parrafin wax-- it makes my hands so soft).  The pedicure was amazing as well-- when she finished, I couldn't believe those were my feet! The problem with the pedicure is that they do them in the same, main room where they do manicures, and while I don't have a problem soaking my hands and having them polished out in the open, it's darn hard for me to enjoy a foot massage in front of an audience. Pedicures should be done in one of the massage/facial rooms, I feel. Jema did a kick-butt job on my eyebrows. She waxed and plucked them exactly the way I like them. (Oh, and they do the waxing in a private room, btw).They are very warm to new customers, and on my first visit gave me some certificates for 10 and 5 dollars off my next services and 20% of coupons for friends.  I would recommend this place, if only because the staff is really nice.
