Worst place I’ve ever been to. Nail polish is not between the lines of my nail at all. There are smudges everywhere on my toes from where she tried to clean up her mistakes but did an absolute lousy job. The entire pedicure was painful rather than relaxing and enjoyable. She also cut the inner corner of my toe and made me bleed. Do not reccomend. You are better off going to any other nail salon in Madison. Read Less

I have gone 3 times now here and have gotten great service each time! I have had Danny do my nails and he is so great! He has great attention to detail and never lets me leave unless they look great! All the staff are light hearted and like to have a fun time. It is a relaxing environment and I don't feel like just another client like at most salons. I'm glad this is also so close to my house! I got a great pedicure here. Rated 4 stars because it was higher priced than I've paid other places. Wasn't expecting that and didn't see the prices clearly listed any where. The tools they used didn't come out of sanitized plastic pouches like at other places I've been. And the interior was just kind of run down and dirty. I've been here several times now and can't say that I've ever had a bad experience. Today I went and felt like they did such an awesome job I had to write a review. Very thorough with the pedicure. and the nail designs/colors were exactly what I wanted. The 2 names that have done the best job in my opinion who I would recommend are Thea and Nari (sp?) This was the worst experience of my life! First of all, this chick was on her phone the ENTIRE TIME! Secod, she didn't listen AT ALL when I told her how long to cut my nails. Why would I pay you $50 for a full set just for you to cut them as short as my original nail?! I can't even begin to describe how upset I am. Maybe if you paid attention to your CLIENT and not your PHONE you could've done a decent job. My nails are WAY TOO SHORT, they're crooked, and uneven and there is excess acrylic under every nail. My friend and I went in today around 2:40, and they are only open until 4 on Sunday's. Without hesitation the lady said yes we can fit you both in even tho they also had an appointment after my friend they still squeezed me in. I'm not a pampered kinda girl, but I do love me a good pedicure. What a great surprise to find VIP Nails practically right down the street. Not only are the technicians here very friendly, they know their stuff. This isn't a wham-bam-thank-you-mam pedicure, this is a sit yourself down for some serious toe pampering. Sure the massage chair are a little worse for the wear, but that's only a minor complaint. Of course cleanliness is a top concern at any mani-pedi shop and VIP Nails hits the mark. This was my first time at this place. I was in town for work and they did their best to fit me in even though they were shorthanded. They were very nice and professional. The salon was neat and clean and had many choices for colors. I showed the woman a picture from Pinterest and she re-created it perfectly. I've been going to VI P nails for about two years. Nary did an excellent job. There have been several times the last six months or so that my appointments are written incorrectly. I had two very important events both times I went in by appointment to get my nails done they were overbooked. I went in there today to get my nails done, had a 3 PM appointment. The person I was to get my nails done with said I called yesterday and my appointment was yesterday.... This is not true I did not call yesterday. She then accuse me of being a no-show. I have never been a no-show at VIP nails,Unless my appointment time was written down wrong by a staff member. This is a friendly nail spa. I drop in over lunch since I work nearby. They cover all the basics - mani, pedi, modern color choices. It's not super fancy, but it is clean, staff is nice and a pedicure is only $30. I've never had to wait for service and don't call ahead. Read Less

The women here are extremely friendly and do a wonderful job on manis and pedis for such a reasonable price!  Not only that, they donate a large portion of their proceeds to building a school in Cambodia, which I think is amazing.  I'm happy to not only support this local business but proud of the humanitarian work they do! I have NEVER EVER been to a salon where people are SOOO rude, I believe the dude that owns the place is the worst! he told me after I watched him be sooo rude to customers that he did that because he did not want "that type" in his salon...........He is one of the MOST obnoxious people I have EVER met ( and I grew up in NY!!!) and, they don't do great mani/pedis either... spend your money somewhere else! This salon is run by the same owner as the one in Madison, but frankly, it couldn't be more different. Spacious and clean, friendly and reasonably priced. I've been getting shellac manicures here for about 6 months and have only had one less than stellar service. It was quickly remedied with no hassle and it's super convenient to get an appointment. One word of caution, though- don't come for a "quick" service. The last time I was there for a shellac manicure and a regular pedicure, I was there for a full two hours.
