I USED to go to the nail place at West Town Mall. The people at West Town would make fun of me because I had so much stuff on my feet and they didn't want to take the time to do it. They would laugh at me and tell other customers that my feet were really bad. They did this in English and in whatever language they speak. Natural Nails was recommended. Mary greeted me the first time I went in and every visit afterwards. She knows me and my family very well. She always asks how my son and husband are doing. Both of them have extensive medical issues and she always remembers. Everyone in there is personable and kind. There have been times that it hurts when they do certain things but I've found this to be true of almost everywhere I've been. It does take longer but they do more stuff which feels good. So I went in to get a dip manicure. Right away when I said what I wanted the guy working up front said “are you sure you want that”. I again said yes that’s what I came for. Finally after a short wait I sat and a girl did my nails but the guy kept making rude comments about the dip manicure. Then they would speak in their language and laugh. Finally after this went in for quite awhile I finally asked what the big deal was with the dip manicure and she said he just doesn’t like doing them and the glue burns his eyes which is fine. He doesn’t have to like it but he sure shouldn’t be making customers feel as though they are an inconvenience for choosing this. He was rude and I will not go back to this place due to him. Not much positive to say, other than that I got a warm greeting from Mary when I walked in and it's a small cozy little place.I chose gel polish but then changed my mind, asking if they had the same color in regular polish. She said yes but then didn't seem to actually understand me. Oh well.The curing light was faulty; it turned on and off about 50 times during my mani. I had to keep wiggling my fingers and did end up messing up one of my nails.The polish was almost gone and seemed old; after 2 coats it was super uneven, so she did 3 and it's still not perfect. After she was done she went to put oil on my cuticles but used polish instead- oops.The worst part, though, was the paraffin dip. My tech told me to dip both hands in, then the owner came over and took my wrist in her hand, saying, "No, just one! Test first!" I love heat but it was way too hot. I asked how long it would take to cool down and she said she didn't know, but I should just do it again but faster. Then another tech came over and rubbed lotion all over one of my hands, which flung bits of wax all over the floor and my clothes. Then they said to just keep putting my hand in differently- in faster, out slow, but no not like that. I've had a paraffin dip before, it should not be that difficult. They were concerned and apologetic about having almost burned me after the fact. Looks like this place is much better for pedicures. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My preferred shop is $40 for shellac so I decided to give Natural Nails a try since their price is less. First off,Marry and I had a communication issue. I told her I needed my grown out gel redone. She looked at them and asked me repeatedly what I thought I had on my nails. I told her numerous times it was gel/shellac polish. Even went to far as to tell her "the kind you cure with a light."  Apparently she didn't believe me. She had a much older lady completely remove the nails (5 passes over each nail with the electric file and three soaks in acetone). I was there for over 2 hours!  Ive heard some places completely remove the gel each time so I thought that was what she was doing. The older lady filed my nails down to nothing. Like super thin and I had to pull my hand away a couple times because she took so much off and it hurt. Then, Merry took over. She then took a look at how thin my nails were and told me the other place had given me "dip nails" and they damaged my nail bed, that that was why my nails were so thin. Her manicurist has just done that damage. And I know what dip nails are and I been physically present each time I'd had my nails done. I did not have acrylic on my nails. Long story short. Merry is hard to communicate with, she didn't listen to a thing I said, my nails are very damaged, now. Went for my third pedi and my mother's second pedi in our whole lives for a girl's day. They did such a great job! So friendly and the pedis lasted for forever. My mom went in for her third pedi without me maybe a year later and Mary remembered her and asked her about me! I'm so impressed. I will only go here when I'm home for a visit. Tony did my Gel manicure and pedicure. Both were poor quality, and 3 nails were already chipped less than two days after. He spoke no English so when I asked him to thin out the white on my French manicure 3 different times, he just smiled and nodded. Finally, I had a nail that had a slight tear that I repaired with nail glue and buffing prior to going to the salon. I showed this to him, and asked him to be careful when buffing and filing. He ended up grinding off the glue and repair, thinning out my torn nail to the point it was flimsy and tore more (over half of it off) then put gel over all of it like nothing had happened. That didn't even make it through my drive home before getting snagged on something forcing me to cut it off less than an hour later, leaving me with a $50 french manicure of nine nails. He missed painting large sections of my toe nails. I also wanted french pink and white on my toe nails, but i was told they couldn't do it because my toenails were too small. However, several other nail salons in town haven't had any issue with doing a French pedicure. He also cut my cuticles in multiple places. Kim did my eyebrows and never once before, during or after did she offer or show me a mirror, ask what I wanted or if I liked how it looked. She just did what she thought and walked out of the room.The first time I saw my eyebrows was in my rearview mirror in my car. With sooooooo many nail salons in town, errors like this just aren't acceptable. I was there over 2.5 hrs, paid $100 and it lasted an hour. I went there last night with my family and Tony performed my pedicure. He cut live flesh from my big toes and both today are extremely sore, swollen and pus is coming out. I have taken pictures as well but this review won't let me upload them. I have gone here for quite awhile and have usually had good results. This is the ONLY nail salon I will EVER go to.  I've only had two pedicures in my life...both here.  I have extremely ticklish feet and never thought I'd be able to enjoy the luxury of a pedi until one day my daughter suggested I just try it... I'm not sure of the gentleman's name but he was more mature in age, and so very kind and understanding ... we both got the deluxe pedicure which included a sugar scrub up the entire calf, oil massage, paraffin wax treatment with hot moist towels wrapped up the calf after a gentle massage ...I've never been more relaxed...it was simply amazing!! Always made to feel welcome and no frumpy face when you show up with "winter feet" that haven't seen the light of day since October lol... seriously.... you've got to try this one!! Mary does an amazing job. I have gone to many nail salons and this is by far the best that I have gone to. Out of all the acrylics and shellacs I have gotten from here none have ever chipped. A fair warning though that their services take a while so if you want 'in and out' this may not be your place. I have been coming to this nail salon for nearly two years.  I will never go anywhere else. Mary is the salon manager and the way she does the acrylic nails is so perfect that I very rarely lose a nail within the 2-3 weeks I go between fills. On the rare occasion that a nail does come off, Mary replaces it for free if it was only in place for a few days. There is always a convenient time to get in. She even works on Sundays and Holidays. There are a few men who work here as well, Tony does my pedicures and again, I have never had someone do such a great job. My feet are always super soft, the leg massage is amazing and he paints my toenails whatever color I want. These people are all from Vietnam and are some of the kindest, most caring individuals that I have had the pleasure of becoming friends with. They offer full body waxing, nails, manicures, pedicures, eyebrow plucking, eyelash extensions, massages and facials.The prices are more than reasonable. Read Less

Got an amazing pedicure today, elected for the upgrade to deluxe. Well worth it. They weren't too crowded when we arrived but very busy by the time we were done (2:30 on a Thursday). Super friendly, lots of devoted customers. Will definitely return Read Less

When we got there they were very nice, and seated us right away for pedis. BUT, then we just sat there and you'd think they would have gotten the water going so we could have soaked and relaxed until they got to us. Needless to say, we sat there for about 10 mins.  Then, the man I had was so sweet, but, did not understand English, and I kept having to say to him several times that the water was cold. Finally he got it lukewarm, he cut me, did not file my toenails very evenly and my polish was not great at all.  It was smudged, put on unevenly and on my skin.  Needless to say, I won't be back. I waited over 24 hours to write this review just because I didn't want to rant about this place enough to get them shut down. My friend and I made appointments for 4:30. We showed up at 4:18 and we were not attended until 5:20! There were three employees and TWO were working on ONE person. Then finally my friend got started and the guy was unbelievably slow, finally when the girl started my nails, even though she apologized, she was ruining nail after nail, she cut my cuticle and ended up digging out a piece of skin and I started bleeding. Instead of using her brain and getting a wet cloth, she rubbed it with her dirty acrylic powered hands! Two customers came in and were told that they wouldn't be attended after another hour and the customer was visibly upset and said "I'll go somewhere else". After it was all set and done I noticed that two nails on my right hand are headed towards California! They were tilting to the left! Great Salon. Pedi included a paraffin wax treatment and thourough/lengthly calf/foot massage for $30. The chairs are comfortable and all the functions work well. The pedicure was well done; cuticle trimming, painting, and finish. I recommend calling for an appointment as there were walk-ins who waited quite a while as most patrons had appointments. The workers are very talkative and fun. I went for a pedicure while my friend got a manicure. Although the prices on their wall say $30 for a pedicure and $20 for a manicure we ended up paying $50 and $35. I'm assuming because they failed to mention that the colors they handed us to choose from were gel and would cost more. They take walkins but you should call ahead just in case.They have competitive prices and a frequent buyer card. They also have heat color changing shellac polish, which is awesome.It's small though, 4 nail stations and 4 pedi stations. Seriously!!*Don't tell people that you can accommodate their services when you obviously can't* Where is your price list? *invest in actual, legitimate signs that are professionally printed. Not something written with a sharpie*don't loudly announce what someone left another technician for tip*don't let the employees and owner/manager have their cell phone ringer on high and actually take phone calls.*don't have someone take their shoes off and stick their feet in a bath while you call on your cell phone while you are doing my nails to come and take care of this other customer's service. *don't let your employees perform services while their hair are in rollers*ASK YOUR CUSTOMERS IF THEY WANT THEIR NAILS SHORTER AND WHAT SHAPE THEY WANT IT IN. *don't try and serve two customers at the same time (I ended up refiling my own nails on one hand...and then the second time she left me I had to dry my own nails under the UV and reset the timer on it every 30 seconds)*DON'T FILE SOMEONE ELSE'S ACRYLIC NAILS, GET THE ACRYLIC DUST ALL OVER YOUR HANDS AND ARMS, AND THEN IMMEDIATELY PUMP LOTION ON YOUR HAND AND GIVE ME A "HAND MASSAGE" THAT IS GRITTY FROM ALL OF THE ACRYLIC DUST FROM SOMEONE ELSE'S NAILS. I went here when I was unable to get in at Nail Art and Spa, my regular place.  BIG MISTAKE!  Totally different gel nails than at Nail Art and Spa.  Polish looks AWFUL, huge gap between nail and cuticle, polish on my thumb nail already chipping after one day.  Nothing was even done to my cuticles.  Didn't seem sanitary to me at all...same tools used on everyone. Signs everywhere, "please tip in cash". Will never go back, now I need to go back to Nail Art and Spa to get this mess fixed.  If you want a quality manicure give Nail Art and Spa on Odana Rd. a try - same price as this dive. Read Less

Horrible, horrible customer service!! My friend and I went in for a pedicure and a manicure. The man I had wouldn't even acknowledge me during the pedicure and sighed and rolled his eyes when I said I wanted a manicure too. I refused the manicure after that. He never thanked me and got upset when I only gave him a $2 tip. He didn't deserve a tip at all! He all but ran us over with the vacuum while we were waiting for our nails to dry.Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra somewhere else. It will be worth it.
