I took my mom in for mother's day and treated each of us to get our nails done. We got a pedicure and shellac manicure. I had never visited this nail salon before, but after seeing the google reviews, I thought it would be a great nail salon to try out. I also visited their website before going and noticed they had a coupon on their website that said if you spent $50 or more on any services, that you would receive 10% off your order. More reason to go, right? Wrong. When I got there, I immediately mentioned the coupon on their website so I wouldn't forget. However, after I mentioned it, a male employee kept saying no and said that coupon wasn't valid and that they wouldn't honor it. The coupon is on their website and it has no expiration date, and the fact that they wouldn't honor this coupon was unprofessional as it was, and currently is, listed on their website. A male employee (I think he is the only male that works there. He has tattoos on his arm and chest from what I saw) was chosen to do my nails. He was very unfocused with his work. He didn't communicate with me well about what I wanted and if I liked what he had done. He was rushing to get my nails done, and did not spend quality time on my nails. He soaked my feet in the water, and before I knew it, he was attempting to paint my nails without even cleaning under my nails, cutting or filing my nails. I had to tell him that my toenails still needed to be cut to match the length of my other toenails. It was difficult for him to understand what I wanted, but eventually he understood and trimmed my nails. When we moved on to doing my manicure, he rushed through it and again did not clean under my nails. He pushed back my cuticles and hardly trimmed them, so now, two days later, my shellac manicure is now starting to chip because the cuticle is under the nail polish. Once he was finished with my manicure, he put away the nail polish without even asking me if I was satisfied. I had to tell him that there were spots he missed and didn't paint. He obviously did not spend the time that was needed to make sure the work he was doing was of quality. He did not spend the quality time I hoped he would. The services provided did not meet my expectations, for having spent over $120 on the services. I called today (Tuesday, May 12th) and told a female employee of the problems I had experienced. The female employee told me to come in and said that they would fix my nails. She just told me to call ahead so that she could make sure she could fit me in to redo my nails. I called at about 5:00 PM, and said that I would be in at about 5:30, and she said okay. When I got there, she told me I could pick out a new color if I wanted to. As I was looking at colors, the male employee that initially did my nails came up to me, and without even looking at my nails, told me that they wouldn't fix them. He went on to say that there was no problem with the work that he did. I live on the east side of Madison, and this location is on the far west side of Madison. Traveling there to get my nails fixed wasn't cheap, which is why I made sure ahead of time and before I headed over there that they would fix my nails. It was frustrating and very unprofessional when the male employee refused to fix, or let someone else fix, what he had done wrong. I would highly recommend going to another nail salon. This nail salon is not worth the hassle!P.S. I found out the guy's name who did my manicure/pedicure. His name is Heath Nguyen. I also found out that he owns the place, and he is the manager. The lady that told me to come in so she could fix the mistakes was his wife, Haoihoa Le. I was very surprised when I found out that he was the manager. You would think that the manager/owner would actually try to make their customers happy! It goes to show that they don't care about their customers, or their company. Read Less
