I wanted to go in for a manicure. I called to see how busy it was and they told me it was quite busy but to come in around 4:45. Considering I never gave my name or anything I didn't realize this was me "setting an appointment " . So I came in at about 5:15, thinking I gave enough time, things should have slowed down. I sit down pick my nail color only to be told that I was too late for my "appointment " and they were basically gonna paint my nails, but didn't have time to give me a actual manicure because I was so late for my "appointment " . So I apologized for my misunderstanding and left for a different nail salon. Well, that being said I understand that mis communication happens, but I did not care for the gentleman working there who insisted it was all my fault because I told him I only lived about 5 min away... I would think if you were being put down for an appointment you would be asked a your name and given a direct time to show. I wont be back. Super inconvenient. Read Less

I have been there twice for pedicures. Both times I my big toe nails turned black and my nails came off. The first time, I just thought it was an isolated incident and gave then the benefit of the doubt. After it happened a second time, I went to them and showed them, and the manager said it didn't come from them, that I obviously had an issue for years. I'm like whaaaaaa? I take pride in my beautiful feet. I asked for a refund, and she begrudgingly gave me one (for a measly$27) and said they would not do business with me anymore. Which really wasn't going to be an issue because I will NEVER go back there. Why would I?? More people need to know about this. There is something funky about what they are doing. They put on a good show when they pull out their "clean" tools that are packaged. They do this in front of you so you see this. I don't think their tools are clean. I went to a doctor and talked to other nail techs and they all said it was from contact from an instrument. It happened fast and came from a direct source. These people need to be investigated. Gross! I have to wait until my nails grow back until I can get another pedi. Maybe by next summer?? I had to see some doctors about this. Unreal. Read Less

I love this place. I've been a client for a couple years. The pedicures are so relaxing. And my nails always come out perfect. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because sometimes they don't enter in the right service when you call for an appt causing me to be in there longer than expected. Read Less

Decided to stop in after reading all the great reviews on Yelp.  The yelpers were spot on.  This place is very clean and affordable.  The service is top notch.  I was disappointed by other nail chop shops in the area so I checked Yelp for a better alternative.  About the pedicure:The pedicures are done in a darker room like shown in the pictures.They have mostly OPI polish on a nice stand with the names labeled so if you're like me - this makes picking your color much easier.They use bags in the foot spa to keep them clean for each person and new tools in the package per person as well.The foot massage was great with hot oil.Tatiana was super friendly which was really nice too!Overall great job!  Will be back with friends! Since moving here from Chicago, I have been on a quest to find a place to get a quality pedicure. After two disappointments, third time's the charm! I finally got what I was looking for at Star Nails and Spa. Nail technician Tatiana was very pleasant, and did a very professional job on my pedi. My feet look smooth and beautiful, and the nails are nicely shaped with complete polish coverage (I hate when they leave a gap by the cuticle!) Wish I could use a 0 star. I scheduled an appointment to have my daughters nails filled. Regular OPI filling $19. I brought her there and she talked to the man at the door. He told her to pick from a stick. She did. Then she charged my daughter $31. My daughter told her it was a regular opi and she said they used gel instead because it will last longer therefore she has to pay the difference. After talking to 2 people there. The owner called me back and said that that is my daughters story. My daughter is 12 years old and they up sold her without her knowing and told her to call for money or they were pressing charges. Worst experience!! Strongly recommend going ANYPLACE else. When you do experience a problem, the manager will talk over you and not work towards correcting the problem or coming up with a solution. When I took my problem to the manager, I was threatened with her lawyer, when all I wanted to do was to inform them of what happened to me and be reimbursed with what I was out. Went there with my mom and it was amazing staff is friendly pedicure is very relaxing plus 10 min foot massage is wow !!! Very clean doesnt smell like acrylic at all ! Love this place and so does my mom ! Will be coming back !!! Try it Btw they speak english =) Read Less
