Dipping powder review (not all positive). This salon is very clean and friendly. I went in beginning of January to get my nails done before a cruise. I got their basic pedicure and dipping powder for my manicure. I enjoyed my experience when I went in to have them done and then again when I went in to have the manicure removed (free service even if you aren't having your nails done again). The manicure lasted about 3 weeks before I started thinking about getting the dipping powder removed. The only reason I did was because my nails grew out, but no chipping! Although I loved the way it looked when I had the manicure done, my nails are still recovering from the dipping powder almost 2 months later. I had very strong, healthy nails to start. Post removal, my nails cracked and broke constantly. I have to keep cutting them back to the base. I can tell when looking at my nails where healthy new nail ends and where the rough cracking part of my nail starts. Obviously this isn't the salon's fault, it's the service I requested. Just wanted to let others know my experience with dipping powder. I was looking for reviews on it before I went and didn't find much, so I wanted to share for others that are wondering. I am giving this place 1 star for cheap polish and horrible customer service. My family and I (4 new customers, never been there before) got pedicures right before our vacation (2 days before we were leaving), and the polish started chipping before we left. I called as soon as I returned to the country and was told there was nothing they could do for normal polish.. I explained to the lady on the phone that it lasted not even 1 day..she checked with the manager and said there was nothing they could do. All I wanted was a fresh coat of polish on my toe nails. Best nail salon I have been to thus far. My daughter is two years old and wanted her nails done like mommy. The receptionist told me to have her sit and someone would do her nails. As more people came in the receptionist was more interested in getting everyone else started than my daughter. This bothered me a bit but the nail tech, Wendy I believe her name is, kept asking who was going to do my daughter nails and the receptionist wouldn’t answer. What stood out to me was that the nail techs treated my daughter as she was an adult and important and not just some toddler. They helped each other finish the current persons nails just so someone could make my daughter feel special. They made time for my daughter, it only took a few minutes to paint her nail, but this really shows what kind of place this is. About the service, my nails are also beautiful. I got the dip powder nails and love it compared to gel. Everything is clean and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. This is absolutely the best nail salon in Kenosha. The entire staff is friendly, personable, and make you feel like a valued customer! I had already lost two nails and the rest needed to be pulled off.Not only did Anthony not charge me for removing my nails, he did an AMAZING job!! The first time I came as a walkin and only had time for a pedicure... I thought it was one of the best pedicures I've ever had so I made an appointment for gel manicure and the Mother Nature pedicure- okay this really was the best pedicure of my life. 30 minutes of massaging! I made an appointment and unfortunately I got out of work a tad later than expected which was going to make me 10min max late to my appt with drive time. I called to let them know and they said I had to reschedule. I understand you're a business and need to be on a timeline but to not have a little wiggle room? I've been going to Kenosha Nail Bar since they opened and have always had good treatments and good service. My nails have never been better since I started getting SNS manicures. We recently had a large party there for pre-wedding pampering - they took such good care of all of us!! If you want to feel like a person and a customer opposed to a number go to Kenosha nail Bar.  There are other nail salons in town, of course, however this is the best. I'm from out of town, visiting from Florida, and this is by far the best place I have ever gotten a pedicure. I love the separate room and how it's so relaxing. I just left this place maybe 20 min ago and had the worst experience of my life. First, I want to say I'm not a confrontational person and get anxious and weird saying something so me not saying anything is my fault. In my defense, I got my eyebrows done and there is no fixing them. So the first issue she dropped hot wax on my eyelid into my eyelashes and had to work on getting it off. They are completely uneven, one is thinner than the other and they are too thin in general. I had nice thick eyebrows that I wanted cleaned up. Nope, they are half gone. I wanted red acrylic stilletto nails and one of the girls was making fun of how I wanted them done with a customer, also they didn’t even bother to give me a top coat or told I could leave I just got insulted yelled at and thrown under the dryer. My wife treated my daughter to a pedicure here.  This was their first time here, but plan on going back.  They thought Tony and Wendy were great.  They really liked being pampered and treated well.  My wife especially liked the leg massage and candle wax treatment. I called and set up a appointment for myself and a friend to come in for a fill,manicure and eyebrows waxed. I had a set color design that I wanted and we made sure that we asked if they were able to have someone that could do the job. We were informed that they could. I was given a nail tech that apparently did not know how to do it and instead of saying he couldn't do it we sat there for almost 45 minutes attempting my design. Also to get home and find out the powder was glow in the dark and not mentioned to me once. I have been to Kenosha Nail Bar twice now and absolutely love it! The staff is talented and friendly and go above and beyond to give you exactly what you want. I love watching what everyone else is getting done, they cater to everyone's unique taste with pretty much any nail art technique you could ask for. I wasn't happy with my color choices on my manicure, and they changed the color for me the next day for no cost, without hesitation, even when I offered to pay extra. I've been to Kenosha Nail Bar three times so far and it's by far the best salon I've been to. First time just had my gel filled in and French (it's the only color I get) by Tommy; second visit I got a pedicure (by Katie) and my gel fill and French, this time I had Carla. Absolutely worst nail experience I've ever had. Tech left me in pedicure chair between my pedi/mani to take care of a client that came in while I was getting my pedicure. I get people make appointments, but if you have an appointment coming in, you should have let me wait until a technician was available to do BOTH services, as I have things to do today and would have chosen to come back when I could actually get both services done.
