Went in on this last Tuesday morning to try it out for the first time bc my right big toe had a little little ingrown toenail they got that one out great and then they went to the left toe she just kept pulling at my skin it felt like and my skin got so painful and swollen I had to take off the nail polish a day later just to see what she has done to it. So sad! I spent $42 for a French manicure full set and they are so hideous. I go to Vegas in 9 days.. the edges around my cuticle aren't even even and they almost look like bulky press-ons. I got my eyebrows done also which came out flawless but my nails were expensive and I'm scared to go in and show them how bad they look just two days later. They are very ugly and I am sad that I have to have these on my fingers for two and a half weeks and for my vacation. How do you mess up a French manicure? How do you make a full set look worse than press-ons? Read Less

This was the best nail salon I’ve been to in a long time. I’m very skeptical about going to get my nails done because a lot of places do a poor job with gel tips. But not TJ nails! I had Tommy do my nails, and he did such a good job. My natural nails are very short because I bite my nails to the shortest length ever. He still applied perfect nails like a champ! Terrible customer service and scammers!!! My daughter and two nieces went to get their nails done here. The lady that did my daughter’s nails made her bleed quite a bit for a nail and spilled something on my daughter’s leg. My niece was right next to her and saw it happen. They didn’t say anything as they figured it wasn’t a big deal - except my niece did say “I hope that comes out of your leggings”. My daughter paid AND TIPPED the lady, using her debit card- the lady then as...ked her to give the tip in cash! Within minutes there was a hole in her leggings right where the liquid was. And you could feel whatever it was as it had hardened and left a stain. When my daughter and niece went back in and mentioned it, the lady completely denied that she spilled anything (even though she had said something about it when it happened). And when she was asked to just refund her money, she said “who’s going to pay for my time then?” Myself and my Sister then went there because my daughter was almost in tears. The lady and the other employees kept making absolutely ridiculous excuses even suggesting that the girls went out to their car and cut a hold in the leggings to try to get their money back. The lady asked how much the leggings were and when we told her she laughed and basically insinuated we were lying. We told her they were from Lululemon and she could google it. After 25 minutes of this they finally gave her PART of her money back. All we wanted was for her to ADMIT she spilled something that ate through the leggings, and refund the money. Bridal party of 6, reservations made weeks ago and confirmed that morning. Super busy and super rushed. Some of the girls got both pedis and manis or full sets. The bill was well over 350.00. Bride's was a mess! Looked like a 3 year old did it. She ended up taking off the gel polish and doing it herself. I have gone here many times. For the most part good service. But it is not consistent. The older woman is rude!!! Will probably seek other salons in the Hudson area. Businesses like this depend on REPUTATION to stay in business. They should understand that there is a LOT of competition and act accordingly. This is the first time i had ever gotten my nails professionally done, and it was a great experience. The staff were all SO nice and the wait was only 10 minutes even though it was very busy. (prom was in a few days) they asked me if i wanted a pedicure, and i said no and they left it at that they were not persistent. I have never gotten acrylic nails before this but it seems like nice quality, i will be coming again, i recommend TJ nails Read Less

I am VERY unhappy with their service. I asked to get gel polish on my REAL nails and toes... walked out with a bill of $57 I could've gotten acrylics and toes painted for that price at any other place. They gave me a manicure which was nice but I DID NOT ask for one as I proceeded to tell them that, one of the employees started arguing with me and telling me that I got one anyways so I must pay for one. Got my nails done today here at TJ because I didn't want to drive out to my normal place (2001 Nails) due to the weather. Big mistake. While the staff was extremely friendly, they did a poor job on my nails. I asked for short, round nails with a thin french tip, no big deal. They instead gave me nails too long (even after requesting them to be a lot shorter, square with the edges a little rounded, AND 3/4 of my nail was the white tip. Also, to top it all off, they made my cuticle bleed when they sanded my nails and they didn't bother changing or cleaning the piece used to do the sanding, even after it was contaminated with blood. I ended up buying a gel polish from Walmart to go over my nails. Read Less

I have had great experiences with some people, and terrible ones with others. The great ones kept me coming back for a while, but I had too many bad ones to ever want to risk coming back.One lady I have gotten more than once always watches tv or stares out the window and pays no attention to what she's doing, and when she does my fills they are always uneven and I end up fixing them myself at home. One time I had a lady who was brand new and obviously had never done pedicures before  because she had to follow along with what someone else was doing and took a huge chunk out of my big toe. She didn't flinch or apologize when I jumped and yelped very loudly. It took weeks to stop hurting. Someone else had to step in and do the painting, once they finally got my toe to stop bleeding.I also don't like that I get charged a different price every time I come in. I sometimes get charged for the deluxe pedicure when I ask for a regular one. They are always the same and take the same amount of time.I wish I knew the names of the two people I really like there, but whenever I ask I just can't understand what they're saying. The few times I enjoyed being there are the only reason I'm giving two stars and not one. Read Less

While filing my nails, she was actually watching TV..., I kid you not, paying more attention to Ellen than working on my nails. I was so tempted to just leave, but I felt the damage was already done. After the 45 minutes, not all the gel was removed, and I still had visible color spots on most of my nails. She then spent 10 minutes applying polish and doing the rest of the service. I was shocked to see only 1 star reviews for this place. It's your typical Asian-run nail salon, but my pedicure was better than most of the recent experiences I have had at other salons. For the basic $27 pedicure I had a lengthy massage with salts followed by warm rocks, they had a wide selection of OPI colors, it was clean, and the massage chairs were awesome (and all were functioning without missing buttons, etc as I see at a lot of other places). I would recommend this place to any of my friends looking for a good pedicure that won't break the bank. Read Less

Gross. Dirty floors, dirty table tops, nail clipping in their "clean" instrument carrier. They don't disinfect clippers, cuticle cutters or ANYTHING. The guy rinsed it in the water- my hands had soaked in, put it back in the box and went to the next client. Ask several times if you have cash when you try to pay with a card, to an obnoxious point. Manicure gel polish has brush strips, air bubbles and missing spots. Asked him to fix one and it was an ordeal, so I cut my losses and left. Read Less

My first review on Yelp and I truly wish I could be more positive.  But what transpired in this quote unquote nail salon today was just plain wrong.I arrived and asked for a pedicure.  Was given first chair inside door and there was no place for belongings so I set my keys and phone on side near my pedicure chair.  As the attendant drew the water, she asked me to put my feet in.  When she went to turn on the water to add hot water to the mix, she knocked my smartphone off its perch and it went plunging into the basin of water.A guy who worked there immediately grabbed my phone from the water and said he would put it out in the sun to dry. I knew my phone was toast but I tried to remain calm as I let the situation play out.  He put it out in the sun and then proceeded to sit in a chair and listen to music while the attendant played the "I don't speak English game" with me.  I received a half-a** pedicure and then right before I was finished, the male worker hands me my phone back and tells me Verizon wireless is next door.  What?I was so shocked at their lack of concern for THEIR error that I actually thought I might be getting "punked".  I paid my bill, gave the worker a tip (because I believe in Karma...even when I'm 100% in the right) and left.  Before exiting, I did address the "possible manager" in front of two other customers by telling her "I would NEVER be back.  Again, the "no English" game came into play.  Pedicure service performed? Below avg at best.Cleanliness? Skin shavings and cuticles on the floor. Disgusting.Customer service?
