UPDATE: Owner replied to my original post. I thought reply was respectful and good customer service so I decided to give it a 2nd try. When I went in, I did let Darlena know the review was me. She took the feedback well, and she filled my nails. My nails are exactly how I like them, and i'm very happy. Thanks again! Got a full set done. While they're not horrible, they are EXACTLY the opposite of what i had asked for. I stated short, and they're long. When i asked to go shorter, the guy said he'll be filing them. Not to worry. Then i asked for round, and they're square. I was already irritated about the arguing with length, so i dealt with it. They're not ugly, just not what i wanted. Only other downside is the amount of glue still behind the nails, and I've been scraping away at them for a week now. I went to Elite for the first time last week because all my friends have been going there and I wanted to try a new place. I went in for a fill. The guy ripped all my nails off and put on a full set and then charged me for it. My wanted sparkles on my ring finger and he did 3 coats on one finger and completely forgot about the other hand. Went to this salon as it is closer to home than the one I usually go to in Oconomowoc on the way home from work. Typical nail salon, nothing spectacular. Staff were nice, and the guy that did my nails spoke good English. I got a gel manicure & they did a great job. Seems like it will definitely last a few weeks like it should. It was $5 more expensive than the salon I typically go to which surprised me for the area. I would go back for another mani here if it were the most convenient option at the time such as today. I wish I could put a red flag so everyone knows if they go here have one of the ladies do your nails. My first time ever getting my nails done here, sadly I’m never coming back, I wish I could have had one of the ladies do my nails. The man who was there on Saturday did such a hack job on my nails I’m taking them elsewhere to actually get what I wanted. My nails are way shorter than my finger, so I wanted to add a little tip, while he was cutting the length I told him to go shorter and he argued asking ‘why I like my nails so short’ so they don’t get in the way of work and my life which they have constantly been doing since I’ve been there Saturday. Not to mention I asked for a matte midnight blue and got a gel gloss looking purple. My fake nails are so crooked on my real ones I’ve had multiple people point it out and laugh, and you bet I told them where I got them done. He shredded my cuticles and even a few layers of my skin which made me bleed in multiple areas. He got irritated when I didn’t understand what he wanted me to do with my hand. He laughed at me when I asked if he would be able to do my nails a certain way, you shouldn’t laugh at new customers? Especially if they are basically asking what would look better, he tried doing it the way I asked which didn’t turn out at all..even though I said he could just make them rounded off.. They are very bulgy and the underneath looks jagged and unkempt, it looks like I got fake nails put on and then shoved in a blender, this was by far my worst experience anywhere, I WILL NOT EVER come back, getting anything done is supposed to be relaxing and fun you shouldn’t feel rushed and made fun of. My mother and I got deluxe pedicures,  similar that I've gotten at other places.  Higher priced than others,  but overall good quality.  The woman that did my mom's went above and beyond,  while the man that did mine was just ok.  Con: check or cash only,  not advertised on the door or front window. Elite Nails Spa was an extremely friendly environment. A fantastic experience. As I walked into this salon I was happily greeted by all. She removed the dead nail cells at the bottom of my nails. Avoid this place and go elsewhere. Horrible service, rude owner, they have people giving manicures who aren't properly trained. Some guy did my pedicure and cut my nails down so far it hurt. I told him to stop he was hurting me then he goes and files them! The big toe was uneven and the Whole pedicure is complete crap. Need to have it redone. Plus the rumor is they're now going to be managing the other place in Hartford next to Aldi's so I suggest avoiding that place too. After having tried out many nail salons in Hartford, I could say with confidence that Elite Nails Spa is *the best* salon in Hartford. Elite Nails Spa has the best beauty day deal I have ever come across! At Elite Nails Spa I never have to wait. My toes and fingernails looked lovely and have lasted! ! ! Staffs were also very clean and detail-oriented. The price here is the most affordable that I have found in the region. I would visit as often as I could. I had a regular mani/pedi. It was okay but I probably won't be back. Massage for the pedicure lasted only about 30 seconds, and there was no massage for the manicure. The nail color on the swatches didn't match what it really looked like and I wasn't asked whether I liked the color before he kept going. No cuticle cream, warm water or warm towels were used. And they don't take debit or credit cards, only cash or check. Positives were that the service was fine, the interior was clean, there was no wait, prices were reasonable, and I'm fairly happy with how my nails look. Read Less

My nails came out fine, one fell off soon after ( next day) then I was questioned if it hurt when it came off in my book that's implying that I did something rough... I had not -I reached into my purse to get something and poof....the nail was gone- no pain just disappointment - They fixed it the next day for free, however I could feel the inconvenience in the air. Whispers in foreign language to go along with it.I'm a caregiver for a person with cancer so having much "me" time isn't always an option- on my next visit they were laughing and speaking in a foreign language ( hint-nobody likes that) several employees actually crowding around to see my nail gap. I can only imagine it was negative. I came back - they don't know my hectic lifestyle they should have been grateful for my business. Next time I go into a nail place and it won't be this one- I'm going to have my google translate app up and running so I'll know what the foreign chatter is about good bad or negative. Read Less

The staff was not very friendly or chatty.  They used a callus shaver which I thought was illegal... Perhaps not in Wisconsin.  I didn't find out until the end that they only accepted cash or check.  Luckily I had my check book that day.  It also took over two weeks for my check to clear my account.  Overall the pedicure I got was OK.  After about a week the nail polish lost its shine. I had really high expectations for this salon since it was open and I had heard great reviews. I had gotten a full set of acrylic nails and a day later, my nails became really sore. About a week of having them on, a white dot appeared on my nail and it was so painful that I had to take my nails off. I went to the doctor because it had become about pea sized and was starting to turn a greenish yellow (gross, i know). My doctor said 75% of the patients he sees with this is from unsanitary tools at a nail salon. Read Less

I got some acrtlics done here with a friend and the shape was far too off from a normal square nail. The cuticle was showing quite alot so they didnt last long before I needed a fill. The people didnt speak much english, and the ones who did didnt talk much or seem overly friendly yet not rude. Also I asked for cow spots and showed a very simple picture many pwople could do st home I just didnt have a fine brush as they did but she gave me dalmation spots...The UV light my friend was set up with to cure her topcoat was a good bulb as it was purple in color and her topcoat lasted a while, but the one I was under was more pinkish and my topcoat wasnt fully cured until twice as many cycles as hers. Highly recommended! A family friend have recommended this nail place to me when I move to Hartford. I been there many time now and love my nails The service is great and the people are awesome. The prices are a little higher than some other places, but I usually get a nice job done. Darlena is excellent. There are a couple of newer people that aren't so good, but there are two other girls besides Darlena that do nice work. Yes, I recommend this place. Read Less
