I understand the walk-in process. This was my first time at LyLy nails. I walked in for a Pedicure and was seated at chair to soak my feet. I soaked for 40 minutes and no one ever came to me!!! FORTY MINUTES! My feet were freezing! I asked for a towel and they scrambled to keep me there. I had an appointment elsewhere to get to and didn’t have time to keep waiting. Don’t seat people to soak if you don’t have the staff to take care of them. I have been to many salons over the years. They are all usually good at one part of the acrylic fills. One place is inexpensive, does a minimally decent fill, but cannot do artwork as well as a pre-schooler. Another rushes through so fast, that I often end up bleeding somewhere on my hands. Some of the others are either dirty, will not visit with you, too proud of their mediocre service (meaning they charge WAY too much for the quality). I could go on, but I think you get the point. Now, enough rambling about other salons. Ly Ly Nails and Spa is BY FAR the best salon I have been to. I have never had artwork on my nails turn out so beautiful. The techs are seriously perfectionists, and they laugh and joke with you while you're there. Oh, did I mention they offer you a beverage while you're there, too!! My nails have NEVER lifted one little bit since I have been going to see Jessica. Reasonable prices, beautiful work, and they also have extended hours! The only place in the valley to go!! My sister recommended this place to me and I've gone twice now and had Jessica do my nails both times. She's always so fast, so attentive, and takes a lot of care. I had a previous full set that I had started to peel because I was out of the country and she removed them promptly and very gently. The prices here are very affordable and they're always busy because so many people want their nails done here. If you plan on trying this place out, try to call in ahead of time and schedule an appointment. The place is super clean and spotless and everything still looks new. Staff is very sweet! They speak English to you and make sure you're completely comfortable the entire time! They have really great package deals for pedicures and they are the only place in town that does a fruit rub! Speaking of rubs, Diana gives the best rub downs! Like it's the best for those who carry a lot of stress in their feet. They spend a lot of time for details and don't rush! Which is amazing. With no rushing there's less time for painful nicks to the skin or nails! I'll definitely be back for the massage because as a pregnant woman I need it! This place is so disappointing. My mom and I went to get our nails done before her big day tomorrow. And the guy doing her pedicure didn’t even cut her cuticles, exfoliate her feet, and did a sloppy job. Then he did a French dip with acrylic and what a mess!! The lady doing my nails complained about how uneven my nails were and how the nail polish color was going to look ugly on my nails. Do you know how offended I was!!? For years I had tried several different nail salons in an attempt to get a nail technician who used up-to-date styles and techniques and could do nail art. Thank goodness I found Diana! Diana is crazy talented and does amazing art work, nail shaping and styles. She always has up-to-date colors and styles and is truly an artist. She does both acrylic and hard gel nails (the hard gel are my personal favorite) and can do stiletto, coffin shape, almond, square, oval, you name it. She has a ton of awesome stencils (although most of her work is freehand art because she is so good she doesn't even need stencils) bling, gems, metallic colors, glitter, chrome - basically anything you would ever want done with your nails she can do! Went here for the first time a little over a week ago.  I had a basic pedicure which was fine, and then a manicure.  I was debating between gel polish or a regular manicure but the technician kept pushing the gel so I went with that.  No deal for doing a pedi and gel mani together - it was $55 which seems overpriced.While doing my cuticles, the girl caused two to bleed.  Since then, one of my fingers is still infected and painful.  I went back a few days after the initial service because the gel polish that was supposed to last for weeks was already chipped and discoloring.  The lady reluctantly agreed to take off the polish after initially wanting to put another coat on.  She said the infected cuticle was due to making sure that the gel wouldn't chip off. Still unacceptable to me...It's now a week after I went back and one of my fingers still is slightly infected and painful.  So disappointed and I will not be returning. Read Less

Tried getting a no chip mani here once, but I was not successful and after reading these reviews it would appear that I dodged a bullet. I came in the evening on a Friday night and I expected to wait a bit, but right when I walked in I was not quoted any wait time. All in all I sat there for 40+ minutes and the whole time I was never acknowledge by the staff or told how much longer it would be, or offered a beverage for waiting. I was pretty annoyed but I probably would have stayed to see the service through if I couldn't plainly see employees chatting, using their phones and just sitting around looking bored when there were customers waiting. Finally after over 40ish minutes I decided if they don't call my name in the next 5 minutes I was leaving. They didn't. I walked out then miraculously someone was available to take me after one of the employees followed me out of the store and harassed me to come back in. I didn't and would never come back here. This isn't about just the wait time, either. I mean, I've waited longer for brunch if I'm being honest. I always request Cindy for my pedicures and gel manicures. She is quick but efficient and so very friendly! I am more than satisfied every time Cindy is finished with me. This place is great for eyebrows but just HORRIBLE for nails. It's a long time for me just even get a basic manicure and when I did get a seat they still made me wait. The lady did not know what she was doing and did a lazy job on my polish, the layers are so thin. This experience was an absolute disappoint because I had high expectations. I have been here a few times, with so/so service - but it's convenient so I return because I haven't had a terrible experience yet. Until this time. The men who work there are rude and not very good at what they do. When I am paying $60+ for a shellac manicure/pedi, I expect at least good service. My last time there (and it will be my last time), I had a set of acrylic nails on and wanted a take off. The male manicurist took my nails off with a fake nail and broke two of my long natural nails off, without even saying a word about it or asking if he could fix it somehow. He was very quick with my pedicure not doing a very thorough job at all or getting my dead skin off. After all was said and done, I am not happy time and time again. Against my better judgement, I went here to get a quick last minute shellac for the weekend. I have not been here in years, due to the horrible reviews they receive but I thought I'd give it another chance. I have 3 children and work full time so in the rare occasion that I get to do something for myself, I would like it to be an enjoyable experience. Well this was anything but enjoyable. The nail tech had a really bad cold, which I did not realize until we were half way into my manicure. She kept wiping her snot on the back of her hand. I was completely disgusted by this and felt stuck. I feel bad that maybe she had no choice but to come to work even though she was sick but it's really gross to continue to wipe snot in your hand and you hold my hands to paint my nails. I had an absolute horribly experience here it took over 3 hours to get a full set n pedicure an my full set looked like a 12 put them on, it was also my birthday am I had gift certificate an was still charged. Needless to say this place is the bottom of the barrel along with two of the young nail techs had such vulgar an rude language that I had to put headphones on, mind you there was children running around. Since when did it become professional to drink alcoholic beverages while performing services?  The technician was not even trying to hide it.  When I asked her about it, she didn't respond but grabbed the drink and finished it in the break room before trying to come back and do my nails.  I got up and walked out.  The gentleman who I believe to be the owner sat back and did nothing.  I am also pretty sure that they could loose their establishment license for this.  I will definitively be looking into that.  Will never return and will tell EVERYONE I know. I went to get a shellac manicure on Saturday, April 4th and on Wednesday, April 8th my nails started to chip. I went in to get them "fixed" on Thursday, April 9th and they basically just put more of the shellac color on the tips which were chipped (about 4-5 nails) and then a top coat on top of that. Not even an hour later they chipped again. Not too happy this time. I usually reccomend this place to all off friends but they have been chipping and not lasting even a week. I brought my friend because she wanted to get a good shellac manicure that would last at least 2 weeks and hers didn't even last either. Super disappointed! Read Less

I just moved to Milwaukee from the West Coast and I used to get my nails done every 2 weeks for 5 years straight and I've noticed that it's an on going trend out here to over charge for pedi/ anything nails and provide below average nail quality shape, paint, design. I really am so sad that after trying a handful of different salons I still can't find a place that is great. I thought this location was going to be my it spot for regular nail care (looked clean, nice staff, good prices), until the technician was focused on multitasking and cut my cuticles up and first cut with blood he added bond to a napkin and stopped the cut, second time he grabbed for the bond and DIRECTLY placed it on my OPEN CUT!!! I immediately panicked because who knows how many times that has been done!!! Anyone can catch a fungus, infection, hepatitis, aids!!!  I told him and he told me not to worry it's a new bottle ( ugh who cares, that was soooo wrong). To say  I'm grossed out and scared would be putting it politely. That was the most alarming of all situations, but also my nail shape Oval  with Gel Acrylic is also not good. Some nails are doing a side lean and have little black hairs on them since he decided it will be fine, that's how I was sent home. I paid with CC and I couldn't tip on the card since he said I would have to first inform him before running it. Was I supposed to mind read and know that ahead of time? ( He knew I was a first time guest, he should have told me). I always tip 30% of my nail tab, but not today since not only was it NOT an option on CC, but also no cash with me. Today I took a friend to go get her nails done. I got mine done too and my nails were perfect! Best I've had done yet hers were horrible. It depends on who you get. I was also not satisfied with the fact I had my eyebrows waxed and still had wax on them afterwards. I am usually not one to not leave a tip but I had too this time. I was unhappy as was she. This place is newer and absolutely fantastic. Very pleasant staff and one of the best pedicures I've had in a long time.  I recommend the pearl spa pedicure. They do not rush you and there's complimentary soda or water. Read Less
