I was very disappointed with my overall visit to this salon. I had purchased the Gel Mani w/ Regular Pedi and a Complimentary Drink. I came to pamper myself for my birthday and wish I would've went elsewhere. When I asked them for a mimosa they were conveniently out of champagne. The pedicure was pretty decent for the most part. The manicure is where I was most disappointed. As a cosmetologist myself it was killing me to sit and let her do the things she was doing. At first when she was filing my nails she was using a nail file that's meant for acrylic nails and not natural nails. She did the bare minimum of trying to shape my nails. The corners weren't rounded and were very sharp. She barely even cleaned up my cuticles. The polish application was absolutely horrible! She was tilting the bottles on their sides to get any sort of polish out. At that point she should've gotten a new bottle. When the polish was cured I could feel how uneven and thick the polish was on my nails and it didn't even go to the edges of my nails. The good the bad and the truth.. Making the appointment the manager wasn't overaly friendly however when we arrived she was very warm and friendly. When I arrived for my appointment they we're just finishing up a radio promo so it was a little hectic in there although there were no other clients in the entire salon. My massage therapist told me he had just finished up a 2 hour massage so I thought great my massage will be weak it started off strong and he has good pressure. Walking into the room the massage bed was so high you had to use a step stool to get up so if have any type of mobility problems that would be an issue. The male massage therapist(Greg) has good pressure , I wanted him to focus more on my back but he seemed to fizzle out as he came to that area last and worked the least amount of time on it. It was hard to relax because he talked the entire time, I do enjoy knowing where my tight spots and he does a good job of trying communicate but it's a bit of an over kill because the conversation was definitely geared towards him and his life and experiences. I had to hear about other massage clients complaints about him which is very unprofessional, and he was pointing out items on my body moles, scars etc. Which made me feel awkward because that means he was intently looking at my body, I understand as a therapist it's their job but verbalizing it makes you very aware. He also at one point out loud said oh-you don't have any underwear on because he wanted to tuck my sheet some place. I also had a friend go to him and he does a stomach massage, he failed to inform her before he started he was going to do and put a towel over her breasts and moved the blanket down, she is a massage therapist luckily so she wasn't overly concerned about it. But someone who wasn't expecting it would not be as understanding. He was a nice guy but I think he would be more fit in a customer service position working and talking with people and not trying to relax them. There seemed to be a lack of communication because Greg kept asking me questions that would have been on my question form that I filled out and he wasn't even sure what type of massage I had purchased when I asked him about my specific package. He also had to restart the music during the session not a big deal but as I told my experience to my other massage friends that said that was not something they were taught it kind of stopped the process and it seems clumsy. My other friend had the women massage therapist was less then desirable she has a very VERY light touch which is unfortunate. He also stated that a pedicure party came and he was able to hear the whole conversation since the location is right next to the room and the weights crashing next door at the gym are definitely a distraction. As part of my voucher it was to receive a complimentary drink which was enticing but it was never offered as other reviews have mentioned. I wanted to like the place but it's hard to over look some things. But as others have pointed out as well it makes you question the service and quality when the staff are writing their own reviews to help their rating. I read the reviews afterwards ( mainly because Greg was telling me all about them during my session) not knowing they did, knowing I probably would not have purchased the Groupon. Kathy was the massage therapist who gave me my massage. I told her I don’t like my feet touched because I am very ticklish. She asked if I wanted her to try it to see if I would like it. I said, sure. She not only gave me a great massage but was able to do my feet as well. It felt great! Cierra took care of me while waiting in the lounge. Would NEVER recommend this place for lash extensions! Keely never asked what I wanted - put ridiculously long lashes on me, not something a 50 + woman would wear - the adhesive was burning my eyes - she stated that they use really strong adhesive - there were clumps of adhesive on my lashes - Keely stated hopefully it would wear off - my eyes burned so bad I had to wear my sunglasses to leave the building - I got home and my husband thought it was a joke - I tried to clean o...ff some of the adhesive and it would not come off - I eventually ended up pulling off the lashes - which of course caused me to lose my lashes - but the burning stopped after a day - I tried emailing the company twice and never received a response - they called to confirm my refill appointment and explained that I was cancelling due to me not being happy with the service - was never asked what I was unhappy with, just said ok and disconnected the call - customer service is sorely lacking here - Kathy M See More Read Less

Went in for manicure and pedicure. Right away I noticed they didn’t cut my toe nails, cuticles, or anything of that nature. Once they started panting my toe nails, it was a mess and does not look like it was professionally done. Next, during my manicure, they filed my nails, but left all the “nail dust” on my nails and started painting. The paint is uneven, there was spots missed that I had to point out. 2 days letter my nails have already chipped. Need better nail service! Read Less

I saw the ad on Groupon and called and they told me that they're running a deal where if you book directly with them instead of Groupon, they'd do 20% off the Groupon price. So the 90 minute massage was $39. They could get me in the next week. I thought I hit the jackpot. Upon arriving to my appointment, Greg walked me into the massage room and shut the door. He then said,... "Take off your coat so I can see what I'm working with." (exact words). That should have been my first sign to not continue with the appointment. Greg asked if he could massage my stomach during the session. I told him no because I am ticklish. He then tried to convince me by saying he's done it on other people who are ticklish and they've gotten through it. Again, I told him no. At first I didn’t know what to think because they were open at 9 o’clock and not one single person was in there but the Massage therapist. They did an absolutely terrible job coloring my hair, burnt my scalp, and made fun of people’s Groupon reviews while I was getting my service done. The employees told me they would call me the next day to check on my scalp and if I was liking the color, they never called. After not receiving their call I called and asked if there was a time I could come in from them to fix the color, all I got were excusing of why they couldn’t do it. Uncomfortable experience. Owner was extremely rude to us upon walking in because there was not room for a third person to get a mani-pedi. We are understanding people but this woman had an all-out freakout and made us all very uneasy, causing our friend to leave the salon altogether. The nail technicians were very nice, however. I feel bad that they had to work for this woman.On another note, they advertise OPI and other standard salon nail polish brands but do not seem to have them. The Good: *Scheduling was a breeze in fact it seemed like they went out of their way to get aestheticians and massage therapists in last minute on a Saturday for an impromptu girls spa day. *Kathie Camp the massage therapist was AMAZING. I have had a massage from Elements down the street and they have nothing on Kathie. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT get your eyelash extensions done here! I'm not sure about their other services, but this was a horrible experience and I paid the price for almost a year afterwards.  They glued clusters on, not individual lashes. They didn't have make-up remover to clean my eye makeup off before they started gluing, so gave me pure alcohol instead. Terrible.  The application of the lashes burned my eyes and made them water as if I were crying throughout the whole process.  Afterwards, blinking hurt and it felt like the lashes were poking me.  As my lashes grew it hurt too because the extensions pulled my lashes away from their natural growing direction.  Looking out, there was a black ring around my vision from the massive amounts of glue used.  Finally, as suggested, I steamed my eyes and used olive oil, but as gentle as I was, so many of my lashes were already pulled out from the cluster glue.  Needless to say, I have been wearing eyelashes from drugstores and just gluing them on daily while me real lashes grow again since I don't have any natural ones left.  Save yourself! My daughter purchased a Groupon for me to have a mani/pedi. After reading reviews I scheduled an appointment with great reluctance. They were able to schedule a last minute appointment on the same day I called. Minimal wait time for my services. The salon was very clean and has an interesting set up. They offer a very large variety of services. My manicurist was Desiree and she did a fabulous job! I would definitely return to see her. Cool set up in theory---LOUSY service. My friend and I had pedicures and I opted for a manicure as well. The lady doing her pedicure was great. She scrubbed her feet big time, nice long exfoliating massage. My lady Desiree had a different way---barely scrubbed and massaged for 2 minutes flat. My manicure just felt cheap. She left my cut nails all over the table under my hands wear we were working. I had to ask 2 or 3 times to refile my nails bc they had snags. Looked decent when I left. 2 hours later-both of my big toes smudged entirely. Too much polish and top coat---just couldn't cure. Next day my pinkly nail came off entirely on my right hand. My friend said they must not have buffed it well enough for everything to stick and settle.I called to get it fixed and they gave me the most obscure times and are trying to make me go back to the same lady who did all this in the first place. I would not recommend even for $1. I'm going to write this up everywhere I can because it sucks to work hard for your money only to throw it away to people who barely recognize that they should repair their mistakes quickly and with the customer in mind. I had bought two massages for my girlfriend and I for valentines day as a surprise. She was excited as she has never had a massage before and the package that they offered with the drinks seemed like a really relaxing experience. When I called him I got a woman who was extremely rude and clearly did not want to talk on the phone. She told me the only thing she had was a month out for an appointment. I was frustrated but scheduled anyway. A day before our appointment came around, they called me again and told me they had to reschedule because the massage therapist was out of town. Again, I was upset but understanding and rescheduled. Finally, they called me and told me that I had to reschedule again and be put on a waiting list because their massage therapist left them. I am understanding of employees leaving, what I am not understanding about is being pushed off 2 full months and then being told I am either going to have to wait an undetermined amount of time until I can give a valentines day gift or offered a voucher for less than my purchase. All that mixed with the very rude customer service I received is my reasoning for this. Maybe this was just a bad turn of events but I am definitely never going to go to them again for service. I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist who hung up my coat and showed me around the salon a little bit.  She seated me in the back lounge and offered me a drink.  I chose a mimosa, my friend had red wine.  We waited about 5 minutes and were greeted by two ladies who welcomed us back to their stations.  I told them what I wanted and showed a picture.  She told me that there would be an upcharge for my hair due to the length and thickness ahead of time, which I appreciated and expected, since this happens every time I get a hair color service.  I really like my hair and had fun talking with my stylist.  She was even able to get me in for a spray tan:)  I found my forever place, I love this place!  They have amazing specials all the time, all you have to do is ask when you call. Awful mani/pedi.  After paying full price and receiving horrible service I'll never go back.  My french manicure was more like an express mani, and never cleaned up as is normally done.  The white tips look like a 4 year old painted them.  My pedicure was just as bad -- painted cuticles, old product and very limited color choices. Worst. "Shellac." "Manicure." Ever. Avoid this bogus place. I moved to madison and have been looking for a nail salon to call home.  I bought 2 groupons, one to Rockabetty and another for this place.  I got two amazing shellac manicures there but still had a Groupon for this place, which I decided to use last weekend.  It was for a standard mani pedi and on the phone when I scheduled my appointment,  they mentioned it would be an upcharge for removal and another for the shellac.  I said OK, assuming that meant it was changed to shellac manicure. When I showed up,  there was no record of it,  so I said again,  I need a removal and shellac.  By the time I got to the manicurist,  she didn't know anything about it - and she did a rushed and crummy job of it. First, i was given the choice of only 5 colors (really?) and there was no base coat, no top coat. It has been two days and it is already wearing and chipping.  Not to mention that I have been growing my nails and she filed them down after asking what shape I wanted,  my saying I wanted square,  and her saying they could only be round and my agreeing to round - not none, but round.And the free drink? I asked for tea,  was presented with a Moscato about 10 minutes later,  and when I said no I wanted a tea, was told it would be a couple more minutes -- only after reminding them,  I got a tea only when my nails were soaking and I couldn't drink it them.Utter crap. My nails look awful,  all the progress I made growing them is gone,  and I can't believe I tipped for this garbage.  I will never ever ever ever ever go back to this crappy place. Ever. Read Less

I purchased a Groupon for somewhere new to try.  I typically will go to one of the cheaper salons in the Verona area and thought that this might be a nice pamper... guess not!First of all, they are EXTREMELY overpriced!  I got worse service and quality than I would have at my cheaper salons that cost half the price.  I went there to get a gel mani and a pedi.  The polish pedi was ok, but they were out of several of the colors.  However, as far as scrubbing and moisturizing my feet, they are no smoother than when I came in!  She literally spent 4 minutes for my entire pedicure! For the gel manicure, It took her over 5 minutes to find the colors that I had picked out (of which were in stock).  Then she completely rushed through it.  She put 3 coats on all my nails and then put oil on my hands.  The polish on my thumbs didn't cure and started to wrinkle. I realize it was 5 min until they close, but this was no fault of mine, so I asked if she could fix it.  She then filed some of the polish off and just repainted them with 1 coat!  It looks like crap and only one of them looks like it even got a top coat on it before we were being rushed out the door.  This is by far the worst service and quality I have ever had for both services - even compared to places that cost 3x less the price. The prices regularly are too expensive, and from the picture seem to lack consistency. Beyond NOT BEING ABLE TO GO. These people have called to change my appoint time. I called specifically for an after work time, and they had nothing. Offered for 3pm? How do you think that works if your at an office?! I have also tried to use this multiple other times calling a week in advance- no appointment availability. I cannot ever imaging trying to be a walk-in here either. Purchased a Groupon for a blow out and scheduled the service for my birthday night. It was hard to even schedule the appointment as nobody answered the phone the first couple of times I called. I finally got through and had a series a callbacks to get my appointment set. On the day of my birthday, an hour before my scheduled time, they called and cancelled my appointment. I was pretty bummed. The groupon was about to expire so I got in last weekend for a wash and blow dry. They had a Christmas tree up in the waiting room and the waiting area tables seemed covered in a sticky coating. The building has the potential to be very nice but looks un kept and run down a bit. Boxes are everywhere and old decor or used products were all over the place. The place was pretty empty with about 2 stylists and a one other client waiting. The stylists were friendly but need more training. My wash was hardly a wash as I found old hair spray in it from the style I arrived in. For the "blow out" portion of the appointment, I was turned facing the wall. The brush being used on me stunk so much, like a perm and the smell is STILL in my hair. During the drying process I say a cloud of steam or smoke and was very worried my hair was bring burnt. I will not be returning. This place could have potential with better management and stylists. One star for the sweet lady who did my nails. I went here with a groupon. Took a peek at the prices which were RIDICULOUS. Pedicure was ok, did a good job for the most part. Would have liked a little more clean up. You sit on a bench not a massage chair. Which is a con but not as bad as you would think. Manicure, on the other hand was so bad. First off they use Gelish which sucks in general. The polish doesn't stay, instead it shrinks and you find half of your nail bed not polished. She was sweet and tried her hardest but I would never paid for this manicure. I got it as a gift. I usually do my own nails and figured this is great to get someone else to do it. Sorry, but with the prices and lack of talent here this place will not stay in business. This place does offer almost every service out there. My daughter and I used a Groupon for pedicures. It was disappointing. They were out of the first 3 colors my daughter chose. The jets in my foot bath didn't work. The sugar scrub was literally on my feet for 10 seconds before being rinsed off. It was just not a good experience at all. Read Less

Purchased a Groupon for a friend and myself for a gel mani and a regular pedi.  Service was HORRIBLE!  Apparently one of the nail techs was a no-show so they had just one tech take care of both my friend and I at the same time.  The tech had an UGLY ATTITUDE and did a VERY POOR JOB.  She rushed through the service and didn't provide even the standards you come to expect with getting your nails done: no cleaning under the nails, no massage, no oil on the cuticles, etc.  Also, I am 'blessed' with having a very small pinky toe nail and the tech had the gall to ask what she was "supposed to do with it"!  In all my 30+ years of existence I have never had a nail technician ask such a thing!  A true professional would do their job without incident and not INSULT a client.    The salon itself leaves a lot to be desired.  Looks like it's trying too hard to be something it's not.  The staff seem like they have LITTLE TO NO EXPERIENCE, the decor doesn't fit with the space it's in and it's definitely NOT A 'LOUNGE' by any stretch of the imagination.    I thought this would be a nice Girl's activity but we left SORELY DISAPPOINTED.  I will not be a repeat customer and I do not suggest this place to anyone.  I wrote a similar review on Groupon but of course it won't show on their site so BUYER BEWARE! I've received multiple gel manicures and regular pedicures at this establishment. Every one has met my expectations- which are high.Also, the people are friendly and the salon is new so it looks nice. I've taken advantage of the coffee bar several times.My only complaint is that it is sometimes hard to reach them. Their phone is not staffed on a consistent basis. I honestly can not even give them a single star. They are so disorganized. I was here for a group event with friends and they said they could do us all at once  and they split us up. Two people were done way before the other three. The pedicure was literally a soak with two swipes of a file. Wtf?! My big toes are so callused. I'm a triathlete. These feet need help! They were cleaning the foot rubs while we were still getting polished bc another group was coming in. The polish on my friend's nails was all over her cuticles. She came to town to visit for my birthday and we saw the Groupon and thought, "why not?"  She purchased the coupon for a highlight, facial, cut and blowout. I purchased the cut, shine treatment, and hydrating hand treatment. We scheduled weeks ago-- requested appointments at the same time. Given the differing lengths of the treatments they staggered us. Great. Until they scheduled her for Wednesday and me for Thursday. And even two days before the appointments they still had it messed up. Luckily we were able to make it work on the same day, with less than perfect timing.... Not a big deal. For only being about 1.5 years old it's rather shabby looking. Lots of pictures just sitting on the floor next to the wall. Design aesthetic doesn't match anything. They're trying to go for comfy cozy, hip and trendy, hip hop and childish all at once. Again, not a big deal but something to consider. My haircut and blowout? Standard. I didn't want much cut off so it made the job simple. No questioning how I wanted it styled-- super simple straight blowout with as much body as I'd get blowdrying with my head upside down at home. If asked, I would have liked some curl or body of some sort. The concept of being a blowdry salon generally comes with having a "menu" of styles to choose from-- that's clearly missing here. However, I've now been sitting here for an hour since my service finished. No one has asked if I'd like water and despite my mentioning when I arrived, no mention by staff of my hand treatment (and honestly, at this point, I have no desire to ask for it. After bringing it up and it being listed as included w purchase, I shouldn't HAVE to ask). My friend's highlight job is a joke. I don't know if her stylist is new to this salon and their product or fresh out of beauty school or what. The Groupon says additional charges for length and additional services. However upon arrival we were informed it's also only for a specific caramel color..... No note of this at all in the small print... We've looked while sitting here. The stylist has had two others (including mine) helping her mix the color and toner and has received instruction and assistance multiple times on HOW to apply the highlights and where. The staff seem friendly (though the one who seems to be most in charge was making very annoyed and unprofessional faces at a client on the phone when we walked in). As others have noted it's definitely amateur hour and there is a reason they have multiple Groupons and other promotions running. We'll wait to see how the color turns out but I do not think I'll be returning no matter the discount or promotion. Read Less

Denise did an amazing job with my hair! I was very nervous at first, and she took the time to give me what I wanted. I showed her a few pictures and had a consultation with her, and she got to work. I never had the chance to get any service from them since they never called me back.A couple of months ago, I was seeking a place who would do my and my maid of honor's hair for my wedding. I spoke with someone who said she was gonna call me back after a couple of days because she was gonna speak with some staff members about who would be available on the weekend of my wedding.No call. Never heard from her. And I was way too busy to play phone tag. After leaving that type of impression, I'm kind of glad they won't be providing hair services for my wedding. Read Less

Visited here because of a Groupon for a gel manicure and pedicure.It was difficult to schedule via phone. I called twice and was told each time I would be called back. I never was. I finally made an appointment (for a month later). A week before the appointment they called me to reschedule.The salon was very clean and the technician who helped me was friendly (and a bit of an over-sharer).The service was poor quality, though. The pedicure was a quick soak, a brief sugar scrub, and a polish application. I was left with rough heels and messy cuticles. The manicure was very, very sloppy. Several of my nails were not smooth, and my cuticles looked better before the manicure.I didn't follow-up with a complaint. I'm not confident a re-do would have been any better. Read Less
