My girlfriend got a wax done here that was obviously done by someone either inexperienced or simply bad. They had missed a bunch of spots as well as irritating the skin regardless of her taking all the precautions beforehand to prep herself. The technician didn't use proper lights nor did they even let her review afterwards to see if the wax was done properly. Not to mention I was not allowed to come with her due to them thinking I was just going to take advantage of some free cookies they had lying around. Worst of all they don't take responsibility for bad jobs done and will not offer refunds, or fixes to bad waxes. A measly 10% off was offered for the next wax which isnt even a deal considering the high price you pay for a wax here regardless. One of the better spas I have found that provides an experience with their massages - for the price. Through college I continually picked Lotus Spa for the tea room, steam room, products & experience each time. I've had nothing but great experiences, but I was disappointed when I made a double appointment for my maid of honor and I. I booked a massage and manicure for the both of us the day before my wedding, and the concierge called the day before to confirm our appointments. We got there to find out that there had been a confusion with our appointment times so my MOA was unable to get a manicure and I felt like my manicure was rushed. I really enjoyed the whole experience of being there! For the first time in my life I had a pedicure and I just loved it! The stuff is very professional and nice. The place is very welcoming, there is a nice waiting room with tea and snacks and there is sauna, showers and anything you can think of that makes this experience very special! I so recommend it! I loved the fact that Lotus has a locker room and complimentary robes/sandals you wear into a relaxing waiting room before your treatment. Mary was very knowledgable and has a warm, friendly manner. My husband got me a 90 min massage for my birthday (the one were you can try all types) and it was amazing. I normally have anxiety about these kind of things but the staff and environment was great. Took my daughter here and there wasn't anywhere for me to sit to wait for her except a very small stool in the corner. It was very uncomfortable. The receptionist said she could "bend the rules" and let me sit in the lotus room as long as I didn't help myself to the "complimentary" refreshments since I wasn't a "paying customer". I didn't know what this meant since certainly my 17 year old daughter wasn't paying for an hour deep tissue massage. I was highly offended and felt extremely unwelcomed, basically treated like garbage. I ended sitting in my hot car on an 80 degree day because that was more comfortable than how I was made to feel. It was my first time going, as well as my fiancé's first time. We loved it! We booked the 90 minute trial massage (wich was amazing!). The staff were very nice and respectful. They also have a steam room in each locker room, lockers to use for valuables and clothes, and snacks/beverages free to customers! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Now that you've been warned, let me tell you about my scaring experience with Lotus Spa. I went in for my yearly bikini wax to get ready for spring break and while my experience at the facility was fine, what came after was not! Only a couple hours after leaving the spa, I developed  RINGWORM on my upper thigh ( the exact place where they had laid the towel during my wax). I contacted them imidiately and gave them a chance to make it right, but they just denied that it was them. My doctor informed me that one of the most common ways for ringworm to get transferred is through towels. Read Less

Got a wax costing $65 here and was very excited but only received what looked like a botched shaving job. Many areas were not touched at all and the technician lied to the owner and told her I was given a mirror when I was not. There was not one spot that was smooth. I had a bad experience with something particular recently and the owner contacted me immediately and handled the situation very well.
