While the place is clean and well decorated, I absolutely will not be back . My mom and I had appointments set up for Mani/pedis. We arrived a few minutes early and picked out colors. They do have a fair selection of regular polish and shellac polishes . During the pedicure I had to ask the technician three times to ease up on pumicing my foot. She was way too aggressive and kept going back to the same sensitive spot. Once that was done, they set us up at a drying station. We sat for 30 minutes before flagging someone down to see if we were still going to get out manicures. They said they forgot about us! We had two different technicians do our nails. Mine didn't even have me go wash my hands after she put oil on my cuticles. They definitely rushed through our manicures. Nothing was done to make up for the 30 minutes we spent waiting. And no comments were made in regards to our hasty manicures. But to top it all off, the photos I've included were taken 24hrs after our appointments. My mom's nails held up a little better than mine, but still should have lasted longer than 24hrs. TL;DR: 10/10 would not recommend unless you desire to be forgotten and rushed through services you still pay full price for. Read Less

I am leaving a review on behalf of myself (Kelly) and my lovely wife (Amy) as we don't have Facebook. Both of us and our entire bridal party booked with Lux for our bridal tans, make up and nails. The salon is lovely and laid out beautifully and all the staff are so warm and friendly. The first time we went myself, my wife and my mum met with Louise for our wedding make up trials. Louise is lovely and so warm and friendly. She contacted me several times before and I sent thro...ugh pictures of make up looks I liked. Louise then took her time doing all of our trials and discussed skin care and products which would suit our individual skin types. Louise gave us tips for everyday make up such as how to open up your eyes or contour etc. We loved our make up and were made to feel so welcome. The second time we went we had tans done for our hen do. Again it was a fantastic experience where we were all made to feel comfortable. We then visited again with our entire bridal party just a couple of days before our wedding. Myself, my wife, my mum and all our bridesmaids had our nails done by Cathleen who was absolutely lovely. Very professional and had loads of great ideas and suggestions and was totally up for me having something different than the normal traditional bridal look. All the party loved their nails and we chatted with Cathleen the whole time...and we were in there for hours! Louise also did all our tans. The girls kept the salon open late and accommodated all of us as some of the bridesmaids had to work late. Lux is by far the best salon I've ever experienced. I've had my makeup done by Louise twice now, and cannot rave about it enough! Absolutely beautiful makeup that lasts all night, got so many compliments and she was so great at listening to what I wanted and making it even better! For the past year I’ve been going to Lux for my make up appointments. More recently I’ve been going for tan, lashes and nails as well. Definitely won't return to this salon. The decor is very calming and nice. However, the manager is very cold, somewhat abrasive, and rough. He gets offended when I ask questions or make a request. Also, he's especially rude when the salon is busy. One of the female techs gave me a French/fill. Worst job ever and she kept telling me that I was too picky and not to waste her time. This was the oddest shellac manicure I've ever had. My manicurist would paint 2 nails (with hardly any color) and then put my hand in the light. She'd paint 3 fingers on the other hand and then asked me to switch my hands before the light had ended. It resulted in discoloration in my nail color. To end, as I was paying she asked if I had cash, which I did not. I asked to put the tip on my card and she replied "so you know next time we like cash tips." Terrible experience with getting a gel polish! The lady cut my first nail at an angle when I said I wanted them square, then I ended up having to file it myself to fix it. There was stuff on my nail that she didn't wipe off before putting the polish on. They looked like a child painted them, I could feel the polish all around the skin on my nails. I have been going to Soleil almost since they opened.  I saw all the negative reviews and had to speak up.  I have NEVER had a bad experience here.  After trying out a few different nail salons in the area (Polished Nail Bar, etc) none of them are comparable to here.  I will say I always get the same thing, so I can't speak to other services, but for a regular pedicure and a no-chip manicure the price is right.  I get a good 2-3 weeks out of a no-chip manicure here.  Given the negative comments, I wonder if some of the other reviewers have had issues with communication? There have been times where I thought a nail was uneven, so you know what I did?  I spoke up, before I left, and they fixed it on the spot.  I also think some polish brands are more durable than others, so perhaps some of the colors picked were not one of the better brands.  (IMO they should probably not carry those if it leads to negative reviews.)Pedicures are great with plenty of space between chairs, so you don't feel like you're sitting in the next person's lap.Pro Tip- go during a Packer's game.  There's no wait, and if you really want they will turn one of the tv's to the game for you. I work in the same plaza so I go here sometimes because it's convenient. I've only enjoyed my experiences with Julie and Lisa. They make my nails look nice, nice shape, very kind to me. Now I've had other ladies here do my nails too... Mimi was not nice and was more into talking to some other lady and yelling at me to move my arms and "relax". Sorry my arms don't bend certain ways and that my time isn't worth as much as complaining to the other worker about some girl named "L...ee Lee" (-sorry Lee Lee, this Mimi talks crap about you.) The other ladies made my nails weird shapes of which I had to reshape myself and layered the polish too thick. One lady sanded down my real nails when getting a full set WAY TOO MUCH. It hurt! And when my nails started growing out, you could visibly see that she sanded my real nails down basically to the nail bed. I'm surprised I didn't get an infection from that visit! I only go back because again, I work next door and Julie and Lisa do an amazing job. Everyone else? Not so much. Just looking for a simple gel mani and spa pedi. Trying to find a nail Salon to call home here in brookfield. Soleil nail and spa is my second attempt. This establishment is cute, nice and clean. But I'm having a few issues with my service today.  After a misunderstanding with my manicure they forgot I also asked for a pedicure. I double check the sign in sheet and it definitely says mani and pedi. Wouldn't say I won't give this place a second chance. I rated this salon 5 stars when they first opened. Things have changed over the past 18 months and I wanted to update my experience. Don't bother to make an appointment because walkins receive priority service over appointments. I was put in a pedicure tub to soak and no one took care of me for 45 minutes. My last visit was with my young daughter. The manager pulled the employee from my daughter mid service because an adult came in and requested her. Staff turns over frequently but the managers stay. Im not so sure they even deserve the 1 star I gave them. I possibly had the worst gel fill I've ever had! They are too square (I told him to soften the edges). Also they are lumpy AF!! WTF???!!!  I didn't realize how bad they were until I got home. Now I have to file my nails to the shape that I want them. My left index finger is just one big lump of gel and too thick( I told him not thick)!!!  I am very annoyed irritated and frankly pissed off but now I have to walk around with these awful nails for 2 weeks until I get another fill from someplace else. Visited a Friday afternoon for my friends wedding group of 6 of us. They had our pedicures all ready and waiting. I had tulip she was great! I did a pedicure French manicure style and nails French manicure with a design and shellac. Price was $29 for my pedicure and $44 manicure. It did take a while about 2 hours or so but that's ok because boy did it stay on! It's now 12 days later and after much yard work and a weekend trip up north my nails still look great!!!!
