I have searched high and low for a decent nail salon in the area...  This is by far the best Nail Salon.  The salon is new and decorated beautiful. I would’ve given this salon a 3 at best just for their personalities. At first glance they’re super nice and ambitious to do nails, after paying more than I typically do for nails ($35 vs $25) I expected nothing but awesome nails, instead I received thin, uneven nails. 5 of them broke in 6 days. And when I expressed my concerns after the first nail broke (2 days after getting them done) they were willing to fix it so I said awesome, I came in and they fixed it (didn’t even look like the original nails). But I shook it off. The next day 2 more broke & it was a constant. I finally called and stated that I wanted my money back for the low quality nails. They proceeded to tell me they couldn’t give me my money back and that I could just come back and get them redone completely for free, a full set. So I said okay, went back for my full set and my nails look decent and they are thicker none have broken thus far, but it’s only been a day. But their attitudes towards me had completely changed (understandable) but they said nothing to me when I came in, was silent the entire time, asked me if I wanted water at one point. But other than that I did not get the length or the shape of the nail I desired. I know I sound snobby by this post but I have been to multiple other salons that despite mistakes are still vary gracious during encounters and actually try their best to please customers. The salon is very clean and the staff are really friendly. I called for a last minute appointment on a Friday afternoon and they were able to accommodate me immediately. The service was also very fast, and I was in and out in and hour. I was disappointed with the dip nail service that I received. The coffin shape of my nails is uneven, and the dip layering is also uneven, and is very bumpy. Unfortunately, the top coat was not put on evenly either, so there is a gritty texture to the nails. I'm new to Wisconsin, so after having my boyfriend (a WI native) do some research via word-of-mouth, I took his advice and went to Chic Nail Spa. Anyone who gets their nails done knows that there's a huge difference between a good manicure and a less-than-good one. Choosing the right salon is of utmost importance when it comes to manicures.I evidently forgot to "check in" while I was here, but I had a great experience that is worth writing about!The most noticeable aspect of my visit was how quickly I was in and out. I get acrylic fills and gel polish. Because I'd recently been very busy with moving, I'd fallen behind on my manicures - to the tune of about a month since my previous fill. Put simply, my nails were a mess. They were loose, hurting, and gross looking.In the span of about a half hour, my nails were restored to perfection. I'm amazed at how perfectly shaped and painted they are. In the 7 years I've been getting my nails professionally done, this was the least amount of time it's ever taken for a quality manicure.The woman who did my manicure was not only fast, she was polite. I'm not much of a talker, despite my lengthy Yelp reviews, so I sat quietly and daydreamed as she went to work on my embarrassing claws. However, I asked her for her name as I was paying, and she was happy to provide a business card, so I can request her for my next appointment. In short, very professional conduct and pleasant interaction. I'll be happy to return here. My only complaint (and it's trivial) is that the selection of gel polish colors seems to be lacking. It contains a lot of pinks, reds, and purples, peppered with the occasional neon or glittery shade. I like LOUD colors - I love sparkles and bold shades. More of these being available would be great; however, this is far from a deal-breaker (especially since I'm probably one of few customers who are pushing 30 and still want glittery nails). This is my new go-to nail salon. Staff combine efficiency and friendliness in a relaxed atmosphere. My pedicure was excellent: callous treatment, leg massage and polish application were thorough and conscienceless performed. Very clean, great massage chairs and the price is right. Love this place. My last two visited I saw Stacy who is very personable and professional. Both times I showed her pictures of designs I found on Pinterest and she matched the colors and design perfect! My shellac manicures last over 3 weeks! They also seem to keep up with trendy colors, including their new fall color lines. They do great pedicures, but their acrylic nail services are subpar. I was told by several different employees that they could do coffin-shaped nails and that was NOT the case. Mary (who did my full set) was nice, but my nails are misshapen and her acrylic application left lumps.  I wouldn't recommend this salon for acrylics. Read Less

Not a good experience at all. This was my first time there, and it was awful from the beginning. I was told to go sit down at a chair before I even picked a color yet. I picked a color and sat at the chair and the girl who came by was the least bit interested in me sitting there. She was not at all dressed professionally. She was more interested in the music that was being turned on the tv. She complained to everyone and anyone loudly and wasn't even looking at my foot as she started working on it. She was pretty much filing everything but my nails. She cut one of my toes. She complained to me about what a b*** one of the girls was and she wanted different music on. She wanted me to hack into the tv to turn the music off. It was very chaotic. Not at all the relaxing experience that I usually have at other spas. Will not be back. Read Less

Last visit here was not even 2 weeks ago and both the mani or the pedi need to be done again. Shellac was put on too thick and began to lift 2 days ago. And pedi already looks 4 weeks old.Probably due to the surprise visit from the inspector and the sketchy reactions from the staff. Up until the visit 2 weeks ago I really thought Chic Nails was the place for mani/pedi. Was in the area, it was close by, and because of Yelp reviews decided to give it a whirl. Also, it should be noted that it was almost 7pm on a Friday night and I was looking for a place that would still be open late enough to get it done. They were still pretty busy but they got me right in and acted like they were happy to have me there. Got a gel manicure and their middle level pedicure.  Started with the pedicure, the nail tech was tina,  she offered me something to drink. It was her first day but if she hadn't told me I would have never known.  She did a wonderful job, my toes and feet never looked better. She was very friendly and personable. The nail tech would did my nails, didn't catch her name. She had some problems with the polish I chose coming out smooth. But she stuck in there with it to make sure it was done right even though it meant her being there until almost an hour after they closed.  They looked really nice. She wasn't as personable but she was really pleasant. The prices are in line with the quality of the service.  There's a Starbucks next door so that's convenient.  Everyone who worked there was pleasant and friendly. The inside of the building is clean and well kept...its classy and well done. If I lived in the area it would definitely be my go to place!! Read Less

This place was amazing, exactly what I needed to unwind. I got a deluxe pedicure -- I highly recommend the Pearl pedicure, it smells amazing! -- and it was great. Special scent added to the foot bath, a scrub, leg mask with hot towels, extra massage with an awesome lotion, etc. The best part was the amazing attention to detail that was paid while shaping and trimming my toe nails. I also went for the shellac manicure, which was done beautifully! The lines are clean and my nails are fully covered. She triple checked her work before letting my put my nails in the light. At the last minute I added in a brow wax I'm really liking the way they turned out. Plus, she asked if I was sensitive to the oil before she put it on, where as many just put stuff on your raw skin and cause problems for people with skin sensitivity.I will definitely return to this salon again! They do such a great job with manis and pedis. But their pedis they go above and beyond what any other place I have ever gone to does. The prices are perfect too. ChiC Nails opened about a month ago in the First Federal Bank Plaza at Greenfield Ave and Moorland Rd. next to Starbucks. I scheduled a pedicure for myself and a couple of my co-workers for over the lunch hour.The place is very clean and the pedicure chairs are comfy. Great polish selection. The employees were very nice and their interaction with our group was good. Since we were on limited time, we all got the basic pedicure. Their basic included much more than some places and pricing was good ($30 for basic pedicure). We all agreed we will be back and it's so close to work it's a nice way to take a break during the day.
