I did not have a good experience here with the stylist Allie . It's expensive and I felt some of the staff was not professional or had a lot of experience. My advice is to research your stylist. Look for some after pics and see their quality of work. I was desperate and took first available appointment for a highlight. I hate my hair and it's not what I wanted. I had to go back and have an area that was not done correctly fixed. I had a fresh highlight and in the bangs area it looked like I had 2 months of outgrowth. It was the first thing you saw when you looked at me. I attached a pic of right after I had the highlight. After I had another stylist fix the bangs she made them so blonde my hair looked grey. I had a couple people ask me if my hair was grey!!!!!I spent $140 and am not happy.Update : it's now 3 months later and I've had to have 2 appointments with another stylist to fix my hair color back to a pretty natural blonde color. $300 later to fix that awful "highlight" Read Less

Was disappointed in my visit. I was going on an unexpected trip and needed to get my hair highlighted and a trim asap. I had about an inch of darker hair growth I wanted highlighted . My stylist was very friendly but I felt rushed. At the end of my visit she quickly styled my hair and walked to the front. I would think you would give the client a mirror to check out the back. When i got home and looked in the mirror she didn't blend in the bangs so I had a very harsh line tha...t made it look like I had about 2 months of growth. I left a message with a picture and asked them to please try to get me in before my trip to get that part fixed. They got me in with a different stylist. I went in and the stylist was polite but I think mad that she had to fix it? She didn't say anything like how are you doing? Not one bit of polite conversation. She put in about 4 foils and fixed the area which I appreciated. The real problem was the original stylist was right next to me and I tried to look and smile at her but she didn't even look at me. I paid $200 for her to the spend 1.5 hours with me and if I had an issue with the finished product I would think she would come over and greet me and at least look. It was an obvious area that wasn't foiled right. It was the first thing you saw when you looked at me because it was in my bangs. It was unprofessional. I think the stylist should of called me or came over the 2 feet to look at what I was not happy with. I spent 2 times what I normally spent and felt that it was not worth it. *its been 5 weeks and i had to make an appointment with my normal stylist because my hair is so bad. I had 2 people ask my if my hair was grey. What?? Uuugh where I had her fix the highlight my hair is grey looking. I'm using the shampoo for blondes the stylist sold me so that can't be it. This is the absolute worst "highlight" I have ever had in my 42 years of life. * I just finally got my hair back to where it looks pretty and natural. This last appointment cost me $80. Angie is the absolute best with light blonde hair. My roots are dark and she is able to lighten them without bleach. This is key to me as bleach is damaging. I want long hair so I can't afford to damage it. Also by just doing the roots it is much less damaging. I was always skeptical doing this as other salons wouldnt match the color quite right. Worry not with Angie! No stripe! I also want to share I came to her years ago with orange hair as another salon accidently turned it orange. She was amazing and fixed it!!! I came to Azana as a walk-in customer. About five years ago, I was having my regular maintenance highlights applied by my normal salon. It’s a high end, expensive salon so I always assumed I’d get the best results from going there. To make a long story short, my hair was over processed, fried and ruined. From that day on, I never had another thing done to my hair in fear of something like that happening again. I grew it all out, and because I’m not getting any younger, I star...ted having some gray hairs growing. I decided it was time to pray to the hair gods and try again. Azana scheduled me with Paula and said she is their senior most stylist and would probably be able to handle and help my situation best. She took all the time I needed to explain what all happened, what my fears were and what I would love to see done to my hair. Since it’s been a good five years, I didn’t want to go too extreme to start out, so I decided I wanted to try the Balayage technique on my hair. All I can really say is that the hair gods were listening, and so was Paula. I absolutely love how the color turned out, as well as my new haircut, because I also went a little shorter than normal in a long time. I already have my next appointment scheduled, and I’m extremely excited to go a little bit further each appointment down the road. My next challenge is going to be bangs. I had bangs all my life, until my old stylist fried them almost right off my head! So those, too, grew for five years. Paula cut subtle framing layers around my face to start, and as I feel more comfortable with the sensation of hair laying on my face again, I think I’m going to add a little layer of bangs as we go along. And I can’t wait to keep adding different depths of color using the Balayage technique that Paula seems to have mastered! So to Paula, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening to me. I have been going to azana salon for over 4 years. I travel in and out of state for work now but the only person I trust in America to wax me is SJ! I have been getting Brazilians and bikini waxes done forever by her. She also was the very first person do ever do a wax on me! If your looking to get your first wax EVER or just to find someone good in the local area to switch to. I HIGHLY recommend her. The many reason(s) I love SJ and her services she provides is for MANY reasons. She has always been friendly, personable, and makes me forget about what I'm even having waxed. She does a great job, she does exactly what I ask for, she doesn't make it painful or drag out ripping the hair from the skin (like most chop shop waxing businesses - EUROPEAN wax center is horrific!) I know sometimes getting waxed can be uncomfortable, embarrassing, or even down right painful (depending on what your having done) but I always find myself laughing my way out the door. My friend and I went to the salon for a blowout for a wedding. We were told the cost would be $35 per person, and when we were done, they told us the cost was $50 (Keep in mind that the total service time was 20 minutes...they didn't even wash our hair). In addition to being misleading, the stylists were under skilled and didn't know even the basics of curling hair. Not only did Azana work to personalize & offer package deals for our group, they reserved an area for us with couches and tables/counters to arrange a spread of mimosa & bakery items that we brought in for the party. They were so organized and prepared to serve us--I was THRILLED! The hardest and most nerve-racking part of hosting a party are the things you can't control, like service by businesses. I went to Azana because I received a gift certificate. The girl at the front desk was doing something on her cell phone and I had to interrupt her just so I could check in. The locker room is crowded... anyone outside the locker room can look in and see you changing in the mirror. Then you sit on this dirty couch in the relaxation room. It's dark in there, so maybe they think you won't notice. I got a facial. While the mask was on my face the girl read a magazine for about ten minutes (my eyes were covered, but I could hear her turning the pages). No massage, nothing. I will not get my hair done anywhere else or by anybody else after getting it done by Zena at Azana Salon & Spa!. I see Zena for partial/full foils and she is absolutely amazing with both hair color and cuts! I definitely recommend her to anyone but especially those of you that are as picky about their hair as I am.
