Nails done for prom.   Went with my daughter who was highly satisfied with the results.  She brought a picture which was replicated well. I had a regular mani and it lasted about 3 days without chipping.  Hers was gel and went for 2 weeks.  Staff was kind. DD got a paraffin wax at the end, but this was not part of mine....likely as the nail polish would have smeared.  The facility was very clean and well organized and I appreciated looking at the polish swatches rather than 320 bottles of OPI to pick my color. I went for a pedicure at 630pm I didn't get a good feeling, they rushed through the pedi because it was close to closing time. I have bad ingrown toenails, he didn't take care of them even though he said yes. I sure wish places like this could guarantee their work?? Read Less

Went here for a mani/pedi for the first time the other day and it was very nice. They greeted us when we walked in and told us to take a seat. The woman who did my nails was very polite. The pedi was amazing with the scrubs and massaging. I asked for diamonds on my nails and they look perfect! For the first time ever I had my hands dipped in warm wax and it was so relaxing! Great first experience! My girl friend and I went here, her for a mani and I was getting my first mani/pedi combo.Atmosphere: Calm, neutral tones. The place was very clean. The chairs were comfy and it was  laid out so it was easy to get from point A to point B, no nonsense.Service: I had Sheila do my nails and another lady (didn't catch her name) do my pedicure. This was my pedicure and I was a bit nervous, but I have been missing OUT. I was so relaxed the whole time I was there. My nails turned out great, there was a minor spot on my left thumb I did not notice before I left that she missed the second coat on, but you only notice it up close.Price: I felt that the service I received and the price matched hand in hand. I was happy when I left the salon and so was my girl friend.   The salon is 2 blocks from my house and I will be returning for an hour or so of pampering! Read Less

They did a good job... they just need to be clear on pricing.... i guess its $5 extra to get almond shape... lady rolled her eyes at me when i wanted it pointed more... and to put on more coat of polish on because it was streaky... if im paying money to get them done i expect them to be perfect and not to feel bad about saying anything. Just moved to the area started going to this salon and was very pleased with the service and prices until today. I made an appointment and sat and waited for 25 mins before I got up and left. I was a fan of Sunrise and brought extra business their way. Then I needed a favor on the day of my daughter's wedding. My gold sparkle nail polish that they applied started to chip and I asked if I could take the bottle with me. All I can say is do not ask Ken or his sister a favor no matter how much you have spent in their shop. They are a receive only business. Read Less

Great atmosphere and lots of colors to choose from. I called ahead to make sure they had a dryer for pedicures and was told yes, so went in. Very short wait time and I enjoyed the pedicure. But at the end, I'm told wait 5 minutes to dry? I set my timer on my phone and after 4 minutes, my manicurist came and slipped my shoes on my feet. By the time I got to my car, both pinkie tires are smeared and there is a big smudge on my big toe. Hate to write a negative review, but I think it's important to know that they will absolutely not refund your money no matter the circumstances and when trying to correct their mistakes-- they are unable to do so. The technician had to reapply a very simple sheer nail polish twice. After leaving and seeing the paint job in the light of day I was even more horrified. Returned 30 minutes later to ask for a refund. I did not trust them to try to correct the polish for a third time as I did have other things to do today and could not waste anymore of my time there. They said I could come back tomorrow, but I am only in town visiting and need to catch a flight back home. Yes, I am down $15 bucks, but mostly I am disappointed and frustrated at this establishments inflexibility. Please note that the technicians were very kind and wanting to accommodate, but the owner refused to budge. Or to accept responsibility for his employees' sloppy work. Good luck out there everybody! Very nice, clean nail salon.  Really nice comfortable chairs.  Michael took care of my mani/pedi and he did a great job.  Very friendly people, nice selection of colors.  They do things a little differently, instead of standing in front of a wall of colors, they have samples in a binder.  Wasn't sure if I liked that at first but actually it's pretty nice.  They group them together by color or type (reds, pinks, blues, neons, sparkly etc.) and you get a better idea of how it will actually look on your nails.  I will definitely be a repeat customer when I'm in Appleton! I love this place! The staff is friendly, professional, and does a great job. They always are kind about fitting me in even when I show up as a walk-in. I have gone to many nail salons throughout my years in Appleton. Sunrise Nail & Spa is by far the best salon in the fox valley. The employees and owners are very kind and personable. They treat new and old customers like VIP's. The environment is beautiful and has some wonderful decorating. The spa is very clean. I had a pedicure and absolutely loved it. The salon is very hip and has different features I have not seen in other salons. The pedicure was amazing and my nails turned out great. Even if you love your nail salon I recommend that you try this salon out. I can't see how you would ever want to go back to another nail salon! Read Less
