As soon as I walked into the building I was overcome with a very calming and refreshing smell. I then noticed the cleanliness of the building, and I was very impressed. The bathrooms are clean and also smell nice, and there is lovely music playing in the background. The room where I was getting my nails done (bamboo nails) had very nice colors, soft yet warm that really made me feel like I was in a relaxing space. One of the things I didn't care for was the strong cigarette stench that came off Mike as soon as he walked in. I do like how he schedules me every week however, the complaining could stop, he acts as if he doesn't want business. I am quite high maintenance and like to express my personality through art on my nails. This is an expensive taste but I am okay with it. Mike talks to me as if I am not educated in nail artistry and that bothers me a lot. His attitude and body language is mostly negative, and he talks down to me. I think the space is nice and the quality of powders he uses are good but I have decided after several visits that I will not be going back. I want to get what I am paying for and this is not the place for me. A client willing to pay $65-$85+ per week should be someone you want to keep. However reluctantly he will do what I ask for. I went in for a full set and a pedicure. When I got there I provided the technician with a picture of what I wanted from a nail journal off of Facebook. What I wanted was nothing extravagant. I showed him multiple times. He did not do what was told or shown to him. He cut my cuticle to the point it started to bleed a little. When I showed him again what I wanted after he claimed to be completed he just walked away to the back room but told me to wash my hands first. When I received my pedicure, the young lady did a horrible job with the shape of my toenails or the French design I requested. I have pictures I can show. Cash only, no credit cards, and call ahead for an appointment, as they don't have a ton of chairs. This isn't one of the huge nail salons with many chairs lined up & down, but a very nice, cozy salon & skilled technicians. Let me first say i went here several times for different services and with different techs and its always the same!!!! They pass you around...make you wait,even when you're in the middle of service...misleading of prices...louwzy pedi message...and definitely won't make it right with you when you complain AND tell them you won't return!!! I have had my nails done for about 15 years now and until I started to go to Mike I dreaded my appointments. I didn't like the "typical" nail salon. They were never relaxing, always felt like I was rushed. Also felt like they were talking about me because they would have full conversations in another language while working on me. Not to mention the pain they caused me. I also questioned the cleanliness. Bamboo Nails is relaxing, beautiful, stress free, clean and the most bea...utiful, artistic nails I have ever seen. Mike and Christy are the sweetest people (and easy to understand). The pedicure area is not your standard, its so beautiful and can we say comfy! I work in the automotive industry and my nails were always ripped and the polish was always chipped. I got my first set of acrylics about a month ago and they have held up beautifully and look as gorgeous every day. I would highly recommend Bamboo. I had the most luxurious, relaxing and pampering experience at Bamboo Nails and Spa yesterday. I went in to get a basic pedicure and decided to get the Bamboo Pedicure instead after I read all the treatments I would receive. I have been to many, many different nail salons and they usually only take about 20-30 minutes to do my pedicure and I leave feeling rushed in and out. Not so with Bamboo Nails and Spa, First, the atmosphere and the aromatherapy was so beautiful and relaxing, Christy took her time with each step of the pedicure and I felt completed pampered after it was all over.
