I was helped by Pam today with a haircut & dye job I had been wanting as gift to myself for my birthday. Pam made me feel very comfortable & included in the process! She was easy to talk to & checked in with me often. However by the end of the haircut & dye job, I was shocked to see just how much of my hair was gone & how awkward/patchy the color was throughout. I don't know where communication went wrong, but I left not knowing how to feel about my hair or the experience there. After leaving I immediately went to a beauty supply store to get dye supplies to try & fix the color. Pam & everyone working there though was really nice, & I would give this salon another try! The girls who posted ratings before me must have had the exact same experience as I had. I bought a groupon online and I should have read the reviews first. I have never experienced anything like this before. To tell you the truth, I thought for SURE I was on candid camera or something because that is how gross and unprofessional it was. First off, I got lost trying to find the place and called multiple times-- there was no answer. FINALLY I got an answer from my technician who seemed surprised to hear that I was coming to the salon. My apt was at 10, she thought it was at 11am. ANYWAYS, needless to say I found it...she was not even there!!!So, I waited for her in their "lobby" for about 20 minutes. She showed up in her PAJAMAS and a starbucks coffee....(really?? your going to make your customer wait while you go get a coffee from starbucks??)Then the awful chair, the horrible floor (which I also walked barefoot on back and forth because he room was too full,) the basin that was filled with cold water and she didn't even do anything but paint the toes. No cleaning, scrubbing, NOTHING! Her coworker was cussing and bad mouthing her husband the WHOLE apt so I had to listen to that, (isn't this suppose to be a relaxing part of my day??) it took like 2.5 hours to paint my toes and my nails, and I promise you, my 3 year old niece could have done a better job. It looked SO horrible and I could not wait to get out of there. She made me put my nice red jacket on the floor, (which was horribly dusty and dirty) and she got nail polish on my coat and acted like it was no big deal. I could go on and on and on about how bad this experience was, but I think you might get the point. I cant believe they make enough money to run this place. I bought the groupon online and was very disappointed. The staff is friendly enough, but the experience is unlike any other "salon" I have every been to. If you want the equivalent of what you can get @ a PJ party with the girls, go here...there are no massage chairs or whirlpools for pedis. They use some really cheap plastic basin that they fill with water and plug into the wall, and the chair set up is not comfortable and relaxing. It was very awkward. Also, I do not want to name any names because she was really nice, but my mani & pedi took 2 hours and 15 minutes. I had an appointment I missed later that day. And then to top it off, it wasn't even that good!! I got a gel manicure, and it was smudged around my cuticles, and she knew it and complained about the gel "pooling" and gave me an orangewood stick to take home and fix it myself. I have never had a manicurist complain of this problem. I could not even ask her to fix it because I just wanted to get the heck out of there instead of wasting away my whole afternoon and missing my next appointment, like I did. Read Less
