I have been coming to Princess Nails Spa for about 7 years.  Unless I'm out of town, I won't go anywhere else....they truly are the best.  Mimi is the sweetest, most caring person and does AMAZING work.  I trust her enough to let her pick what to do when I'm not sure and I've never been disappointed.  She goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy with the end result.  And the rest of the staff is so sweet and friendly.  Even when I moved to Portland for a short time, I still drove back over to Vancouver to get my nails done by Mimi. I decided to come here because a lot of my clients where I work get their nails done. I called beforehand and told them what I wanted. They told a good time to come in because they were in a middle of a rush. Which I appreciated because when I walked in I didn't have to wait. I got seated immediately. But dude. This place is dope. Everyone who works here was super friendly. I was one of the last ones there and we were laughing and having fun. I felt comfortable. They did a wonderful job. I'm super impressed. I feel like a rockstar. I forgot to ask for names but y'all know who you are! They're also really good about telling you when things cost extra which I was really happy about. Have had pleasant people provide pedicures before but today a zombie worked on me. And when I say worked on me, I mean she wouldn't let my foot go when she hurt my toe. Heh heh, okay! Then she kept KEPT scratching the bath salts in one distinct line in my shin. When I finally said nicely  "uh that kinda hurts," she hesitated then continued. Then the other shin. When I realized my foot massage I'd been needing and looking forward to was skipped, I asked her about it. For the first time, she made eye contact and got defensive, saying "you didn't lay your feet right and you got ticklish." Yikes! Disappointed. Terrible. I got acrylic nails and by the time I got home my thumbs were burning and stinging on the sides without even touching anything. It's throbbing, which isn't normal at all. I like going here because they have a huge selection of gel polish. But everytime I go I get stuck with the same guy and he is AWFUL. He's an older guy, doesn't speak any English, his area is in the very front on the aisle. The past two times I've gone he has cut my cuticles on about half my fingers to where they bleed. He does pretty good at shaping but he does not know how to polish. The last time I left there I had polish all over my cuticles and skin. People even asked me if I did them myself (that's saying something). He also takes SO LONG. For one gel mani both times he has taken an hour and a half to two hours. Honestly, the guy that sits right next to him seems to do an awesome job and is super friendly. I just always get stuck with the other one. Read Less

Very poor manicure. The color and texture of the polish I chose looked nothing like the finished product. When I brought it up politely, the people I spoke to told me it was correct and it just looks different on the nail. They agreed to put another coat on but it was still a different color and texture. I've seen polish look a little different on me than the plastic, but this was entirely different look. No one asked me how long the nails should be and they ended up incredibly short. I came in for a deluxe pedicure. I was disappointed with their selection of polishes. They aren't well organized and some of them look very old. The staff were friendly and the customer service was good. Unfortunately, my pedicure chipped within three days. I  have never had a pedicure look bad so quickly. My mom is a regular customer here and probably one of the best ones they get and the last time she went will be the last for all 5 of us girls. I came here on travel, staying with my in-laws, for my second wedding reception as the bride. I wanted to get a gorgeous french acrylic manicure with a delicate pink to white gradient "ombre", which had never been attempted before. Though the nail technician didn't have the "spray paint" tool to achieve the look, initially, she cleverly used a repetitive and labor-intensive sponge and dip method to achieve the spray painted gradient I wanted. I did not like this place and will not come back. My pedicure and manicure were painful,  both done by the same girl,  then because I was saying "ouch" (or I feel that's the reason), the girl got up mid manicure and had someone else continue the work. The girl who took over was much better at her job and nicer. Then at the end, the owner took over to finish painting my shellac on. So 3 people to complete the process. It seems the girls are timed and watched here and they are not personable or take their time. Which sucks because I was excited to go somewhere called Princess Nails and I did not feel like one =( I only gave 1 more star than 1 start because I did like their polish and shellac color selection and the second girl did a good job. Went in for an eyebrow wax and was taken care of in less than 5 mins even though there were over 8-10 ladies getting a pedicure. The lady who waxed my eyebrows did a fantastic job and it felt like she only took 5 mins. Definitely going back again and next time I will add in a pedicure. Great service overall! Read Less

I have come here a few times, and unfortunately today's experience confirmed that I need to find a new go-to place. I have noticed that the atmosphere is much better when the owner is present. I have paid $12 + tip before at other places and had a much better experience.First off one person started my nail then another finished and the worst part was more than half the time the women doing my nails was speaking in her language to the others around her.The quality of my nails was not bad but the over all experience was 2 stars worth.
