UPDATE! I still think the Galaxy Nails on 28th is the best place in Vancouver! The staff here are extremely courteous and helpful. However, because they are so good they are often very busy. But even in those times they are helpful and have superb customer service. The Salon is clean and does not smell of chemicals. I am on 5 years and counting and have no problem referring my friends here! Tina has left but every new employee has been just as awesome! Everyone has a right to their opinion but in 5 years I've never had a bad experience! I have been going to Galaxy nails for over a year now. All the ladies in there are awesome and very professional. They take time to get to know me as a person and not just a client. I have to give a shout out to Tina because she always takes great care of me when I am in there. If I could give it no star I would. I was there last week for a pedicure. First when I got there, I spent sometime to pick out the nail polish color that I wanted, the nail tech seemed to get annoyed so she came up to me and tried to force her opinion on what nail color I should get. She literally told me the color I picked was for old lady. (How rude) While working on my nails, I asked her to cut my nails down, but she didn't really cut them, she kept them too long, I asked again to cut them down but she said she can file them. I still was not happy with the length so I asked her again. Now she turned really hostile and literally yelled at me that it is so close to the skin. I told her that it looked crooked and still long, if she isn't gonna cut/fix it then give me the nail clipper and I will cut it myself. I ended up having to cut my toenails myself. Everyone there were watching. I felt horrible, it was very embarrassing. In the meantime she said something in Vietnamese, mumbling to herself and the other nail techs responded in Vietnamese. (Never in my life I thought I would have to cut my own nail in a nail salon) When she massaged me with the hot stone, she kept holding the stone on one spot for too long, it got so hot that I cried out but she still kept doing the same thing. She was being hostile until the end, but when I came up to pay she said "nice color" ( I was like what??? I thought you said earlier to me "old lady color". Since I left the salon my legs have been feeling burnt and itchy. I don't know what the nail tech massaged my legs with after she got mad at me from telling her to cut my nail down. I will never go to this place again and will not recommend anyone I know to go. Read Less

I've been going here now for almost 6 years. Anna and Cindy are the Proprietors of this place. They have a new guy ! His name is Mickey. So give him a chance ladies ! Just because he's a guy doesn't mean he can't make your feet look beautiful. The last nail place that I used to go to in Hazel Dell the guy owned it and I would only see him. His name was Sam. So I never write reveiws on anything. But this nail salon was so amazing. I got a mani and pedi. We were sat quickly and they were very friendly. Greeted us with smiles. I got an amazing massage on my legs and feet. They picked my color and it was perfect. My manicure was magnificent. The lady i had made sure everything was right for me. My mails were strong and the perfect size. I am overall just so happy and i will definitly be returning. I can never find a salon to go to and i have now finally have a great salon 6 minutes from my house. Read Less
