I came here twice, and will not return. During my first visit, I had a gel manicure. I had a nail chip within a few days, but the owner had told me to return if I had any chips within 1 week after my service, and this was fixed without incident. However, I did notice that some of my nails were filed crooked. Despite this, I decided to give them another chance. I returned two weeks after my first manicure for another gel manicure, because my nails grow very fast, and I also had some more nails chip after the first week. I was a walk-in, but allowed an hour between my arrival and the time that I needed to leave the nail salon. I waited about five minutes to get started, which was very reasonable, and I chose the express gel manicure to save time. The nail technician who worked on me was very rough when removing my gel. This was different from when the owner fixed my one chipped nail previously--she used proper technique by only filing the gel slightly before soaking in acetone wrapped in aluminum foil. This nail technician filed my gel off to the point that she filed down to my actual nails before soaking in acetone, weakening my nails and causing them to split when they later started growing out. She had brought the water soak for my hands before she started removing the old gel polish, so by the time she finally finished and told me to soak my nails (30 minutes later), the water was cold. I asked her to bring me warm water, and she complied and apologized. Of note, the water was also cold during my first visit there. I was more observant with the way the tech was shaping my nails this time, as I did not want any of my nails to be crooked again. When I pointed out that I was unhappy with the shape of my nails, and that a couple of them were crooked again, it was hard to communicate with the tech about my concerns due to a language barrier. The owner had to come over and translate for me so that the tech could understand what I was saying. I also expressed concern that the service was taking longer than usual, and I needed to leave in 15-20 minutes (remember, I had given myself an hour when I arrived, and the removal and shaping process had taken much longer than usual). The owner suggested that another tech who is better at shaping nails come fix them when she was available, but shortly after, a group of 3-4 women walked in without an appointment, and the owner appeared to be more concerned with accommodating them than service recovery and getting me out on time. She stated to me that they obviously were not making me happy, and suggested that I could leave if I wanted. At this point, I had no choice but to leave with 7/10 of my nails still not filed, as she said they would not have my express manicure finished by the time I needed. I had to go to my family party with most of my nails clipped straight at the tips with awkward points on the edges from not being filed yet. I was really wanting to like this place, as the atmosphere is clean and inviting, complimentary beverages are served, and it is conveniently located near my home. However, the skills of the nail technician I encountered were disappointing to say the least. I felt pushed out by the owner in order to accommodate a group that would bring in more profit than my one express gel manicure would for the business. I'm also very disappointed in the tech's disregard for the health of my nails. One should never file gel polish all the way into the nail layers when removing it. It was a painful experience for me physically and emotionally. Read Less
