"Mike" was friendly and no one was in the shop when I arrived so I was happy to be seen right away. I decided on a mani/pedi that they have advertised at $30. He encouraged me to get shellac for my manicure, he stated it would last longer. I know this to be true so I went along with it. I have large cracks in my big toe nails that make it difficult to paint and file. Instead of trying he just didn't file ANY of my nails. Buffed them and moved on to painting. I should have stopped him then but I just let him finish. After he was done he moved me over to the mani station where he then asked for payment. I handed him my debit card and then was told that his machine was down and he wanted me to go across the street to get cash from the 76 gas station. Wasn't happy about it but understood and went. When I came back he started on my manicure. I posted the picture of it. Not only did he not clean my cuticles well, my 12yr old daughter could have done a better job with lines and filling. I asked him to make the lines thinner, he attempted but the brush he was using wasn't working. Instead of using a better brush he just skipped it and finished the shellac. He did a very poor job when I asked him to fix it he said he didn't see anything wrong! Beware!! Don't waste your money,.. I spent a total of $58 Worst experience I've ever had as far as quality!! I have been going to Sun Nails for 10 years. I have never had a fungus in my nails. I have never had to come for a nail replacement. Where ever I go people notice my nails because I have a flower painted on on nail. I am always being told how pretty my nails look. The people are always very nice. I am disabled and they are always very helpful. I would always recommend going there to have your nails done. A 5 star rating from this happy customer!Read Less

Hi Kim, I know I said this when I was there but I wanted to put it here too. I was a bit apprehensive about getting nails as you were a fair distance (I'm in Pemby) and I work in retail so I figured they wouldn't last long, but when you said you could put a layer of gel over them so I can change my polish I had to try! And I wasn't disappointed. I went back for a refill after 3 weeks and that's only because the growth line was annoying me as I am sure I could have waited anot...her week at least, but my nails were not chipped and even around the cuticle line it was smooth and not all flaky and ragged looking like ones I have had done in Perth. And this was after I had changed my polish 2-3 times a week!!!!! Even my heavy glitter polishes didn't affect the acrylic nail underneath, admittedly they took more work getting the polish off as I cant use acetone, but I can live with that! This place is the worst,  they filed my nails so thin that they are now bending. I got gel, and they got paint on my fingers, and my fingers are now stuck to my nails. When I said the work wasn't ok with me they locked the door and said that I had to pay or they wouldn't let me out. The work was awful, and the customer service was even worse.
