I had a really great experience getting my nails done. The shop is small and quaint but very clean and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and social with guest. The nail artist really took her time on me and didn't rush at all. The prices seem to be a bit more expensive than other shops but well worth the price. Read Less

Amazing Salon. I came here out of desperation as my regular salon had botched my nails a week before my daughters wedding shower. Went to Tao nails hoping they could help. I was lucky enough to have Van save the day. She carefully removed my whole nail set and replaced them with beautiful new nails. I am so grateful and will be going to see Van for now on. Stopped in to get Mani Pedi, they got me right in.  Did good job on both but the next very day the nail polish started peeling off my fingernails...bad prep to nail in my opinion.  Called to see if they would do anything, they said NO.  Being a small business owner I understand complaints and customer service, if they had wanted to keep my business they would have spent the small amount of time and polish to repaint my nails at no charge.  Too bad this lost them a customer, I would have been a regular. The first time i went there the lady was very helpful and nice. I went there the second time and she was kind enough to fix all my nails including a broken one for no additional cost other than the price of the fill. Keeping in mind the past experiences i went there again and was total disappointed. The staff was not very friendly, did not warn me about the additional costs of putting sparkles (on one nail ), During payment, she charged me extra for the fixing of broken nails, and also for adding one nail of sparkles. First time went to Tao Nails today and I am very impressed. Everything was on point from the cleanliness of the salon, to the staff to my nails! Got a full set of uv gel nails and a pedicure for a very reasonable price. My tech was awesome. Always made sure I was comfortable and I didn't feel rushed at all. Tao Nails is the best place in Calgary for a pedi or manicure. I have been there 3x in the last 6 weeks and loved it every single time! They are friendly and take their time and do an excellent job. I get my nails done by Ann when I visit and she puts time and effort into my nails & as a result they look good with no complaints all the time. I don't feel rushed like other salons nor do I have to wait a long time for my appointment. Friendly staff always trying to keep a conversation. Excellent service. You will not be disappointed! Loves this place. The staff is super friendly, best pedicures I have had (hot stones!!) There is a wait occasionally, but it is worth it. They even remember my mom and ask about her. Usually I'm pretty patient. Came in without an appointment and there were several people in chairs and one walk in ahead of me. After being bounced around from chair to chair with two techs leaving me to assist walk ins that came in after me, my nails still aren't done. Got back from washing my hands to find my tech serving someone else. This has been the case now for two hours. Unless you're a regular, which ironically I happen to be, go elsewhere. This is unacceptable service. And being a historical good tipper doesn't seem to get you anywhere. Never coming here again! Read Less

Went in today and left so disappointed! Went for a regular pedi since I just needed a polish change.  There weren't too many people, but the person doing my pedi seemed to be in a rush.  After I paid and finish drying for a little bit, I looked at my toes and the nail polish on both my big toes were smeared and bubbled.  I could still see some of the color from my previous polish that she didn't take off completely, and parts of my nails didn't even have top coat.  I didn't even want to deal with it, so I just went home and fixed it myself.  Going to find a different nail salon! I will never come back here! I'm so pissed off right now. My son wanted his nails painted and the lady proceeded to tell him " you're a boy you can't paint your nails it's for girls if you paint your nails that'll make you gay" I just went off I said "excuse me can she not say that to my child that is uncalled for that is not ok" everybody that was in that place was just going off and then she tried to say "oh I was just kidding with him" and I said "no you don't say stuff like that that is not ok" and then of course proceeded to talk in Korean and wouldn't look at me the rest of the time she's lucky she wasn't the one doing my pedicure.Then out loud I told my son "don't ever let anyone ever tell you that you can't paint your nails, you can paint them whenever you want, we will paint them when we get home" Read Less

Being in the military  you tend to move alot so im new to the area. I needed to get a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed so i looked at some reviews online and their ratings were all good so i gave it a try. They got me in and out and the result was great. I stopped by for a quick Pedi before work and my experience was okay. The shop is easy to find, the shop itself is super small! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and promptly seated in one of the Pedicure chairs. The lady doing my pedi was quick and efficient. She didn't really try to have a conversation with me (not even small talk) and as I looked around the shop I noticed that the other Employees were the same way. Maybe it was because it was too early in the morning or they were concentrating on their work?I'm not too sure...The quality of work and prices were good, just the customer-employee interaction was a little off.
