I don't know why I ever go anywhere else. Everyone who works here is friendly and fun. Any time I've gone in to get my nails done they are professional while also being incredibly welcoming and warm. I came in with a horrible wacky ugly nail job from Sonny's nail salon off of Portland ave and 72nd.Let me tell you, it's my first time there, the lady there put a big smile on my face! I will never go here again. Went to get shellac nails which is clearly posted at $15 on their price board, but yet got charged $25. When I asked why the price was different, the two ladies discussed in another language to eachother & then decided to tell me it was an extra $10 because she cut my cuticles. I never once asked her to do that, & every other place I've ever been to includes that free of charge. I stated this to the ladies & asked if I had to pay for something I never asked for & they said yes. This place is a joke. Don't waste your money. On top of it all, my nails don't even look good at all. They are filed all crooked & the polish looks like I let my 5 year old do them. Had to pay someone else to re-do them. $25 down the toilet. It's a Sunday I called around to see where I could get in for a fill. I had tried this place once before and they did decent work they weren't necessary with the friendliest but that was OK ... she told me to be there in 15 minutes I let her know I was coming from University Place and I could not be there in 15 minutes... she asked if I could come now I told her yes and when I arrived I was told very rude and abruptly, they didn't have time... that will teach me to drive all the way out to Spanaway to get my nails done when there are two very good places in North Tacoma if I'm going to drive a distance ... and their customer service is impeccable! I first came here on Mother's Day 2015 because my normal salon was closed.  I was pleasantly surprised!  The ladies were friendly and funny to me and my children.  My nails looked so great I returned this past weekend and had a fill.  While there, they told me if I ever had any complaints about the service to please let them know.  They seemed very interested in making sure they were providing the best service possible.  I really like this place and with the down turn at my other salon, I'll likely start coming here instead! I went there for a Shellac Manicure and it was definitely not worth the money. Every time I get a manicure at least the massage you hands and your arms, but I didn't even get lotion here.First I picked a nude color, and the one I got was like Barbie pink, they obviously don't label their colors right. She got gel all over my fingers and didn't clean it, so now they are stuck.She put the gel all the way up my cuticle and I have bubbles under the polish.I would definitely not recommend.A waste of money! I went here only because it was near my home and I've been looking for a new salon. They argued with me about the way I asked them to do my nails. The tech drilled hard into my nail beds and rushed thru my service. I wanted to put on a new set with colored acrylic and they insisted I do gel nail polish over my existing pink and white acrylics. The polished worked but you could see the color variation from the white underneath. I won't return to this salon. Read Less

Took a chance on the place and will definitely make the 14 mile drive to go back!  The place is clean and prices are GREAT.  I was pleasantly surprised to get the full spa pedi treatment (scrub, massage, hot towels) for only $20!!  Where I was going, $23 gets a totally basic pedi with no salt scrub, etc.  Anyway, the service was prompt - although it is a small place, so I can see having to wait if you walk in at the wrong day/time - and pleasant.  As my lady began to paint my toenails, she asked if I wanted decoration (that is $10 more) and I declined.  She asked, "Why not?" and I responded not today.  She didn't pressure me or even ask again.  I can't speak to how long the color will last (may report back).  But this is definitely my new go-to place for a GREAT pedi!!! After 7+ years of going to Jully's I may not go back again.  I have had really good experiences, mediocre experiences and in-between.  They are pleasant, nice and sometimes darn pushy and insist you buy some addtional service(s).  They do not accept your first "no, thank you", ever.  I have had my big toe cut accidentally which bled and the technician put super glue on it.  It got infected and it took me days of treatment while my toe throbed pain before it healed.  (I don't think she was ever there again.)  I have had perfect manicures and then manicures that were sloppy.  The nails were poorly shaped or the oil not well removed from the nails so the paint chipped within 2 days.  Today I had gels put on for the first time.  It was the wrong color and I pointed it out to the gal on the first nail.  She said no it was the right number/color and continued to paint my nails that color.  It is a nice color but it is not the color I wanted.  It is my hand, my nails, my money.  I want the color to be what I picked and I don't want to have to argue to get it.  The gals also seem completely stymied when I try to talk with them. Conversations are out.  English comprehension is limited.  They speak another language between themselves.  I thought it was considered rude to do that in front of others when the guests cannot understand.  I am at fault for staying silent but I wanted it to be a treat for me.  Me time.  At this point I think I am contributing to poor quality service with silence, hence my review.  Last thought, the massage chairs don't always seem to work. I wanted to like this place. I really did!But.......My manicure was terrible. I got the shellac/gel/whatever you want to call it french manicure. When it was done I was really disappointed. The tips of my fingers and underneath my nails had white tip polish all over the place, there was clear polish all over my cuticles and the skin around my nails, one of my pinky's had some cotton stuck under the polish so it was bumpy, and she missed taking off some of my old polish on my thumb. Overall it just looked sloppy. Also, shellac/gel manicures are supposed to last at MINIMUM a week before they chip. I'm on day 3 and they've already peeled and chipped in many places. ALSO, the owner of the salon tried for a good 10 minutes to get me to let her wax my eyebrows. The first time she asked I said "no thank you, I will keep them how they are", she then explained how she would just take some off the bottom, not the top, brought a mirror over to show me, went on and on about how she has regular clients that come in all the time, what high quality wax she used, and then would say "ok so you want me to do it?" I had to say "no thank  you" at LEAST 5 times. I found this super unprofessional, not to mention obnoxious. I'm sorry, but I'm not about to have my (already sparse) eyebrows done by some random woman at a nail salon I've never been too, especially since I had an important event that weekend. For $25 I got pressured to have my eyebrows done and a sloppy manicure. I will not be back. If it wasn't for my manicurist being so friendly and nice this place probably wouldn't have gotten even 2 stars. Read Less

I went at 9am and there were 2 guys 4 woman and I walked in ,while I was there 3 more people poured in. So I finally went and got a pedicure here with the wife.I can't believe I have never gone before!Anyways, at first you sit in this giant massaging chair, as it wrings your back, your feet in this foot bath with some salts?  Then the nice woman comes along and does some serious work on your feet, first clipping nails, then filing them down..then working on the bottoms of feet, and massaging your feet and calves.It was great Read Less

Exceptional service, reasonable price, gotta love Jully's! This is a 25 minute drive for me but worth the trip for sure. I love how friendly and personable the staff and owner are here... not to mention if it's your birthday, you get a discount! One trip I was here for a mani, pedi, and leg wax- had the salon to myself and two people working on me- it doesn't get much better than this! Jully is hilarious and I really felt like my trips here were great for "girl time" to include laughable conversations among staff and clients that I won't quote here! Personal service and high quality go a long way in my book- I'm so glad a friend told me about Jully's! Side note, there is parking in the back if the front spots off Pac Ave are full. This isn't the fanciest or newest place around, but it is great! The ladies who work here are fantastic! They are always friendly and playful and they are NOT the ladies that will sit there silently or talk to one another while ignoring you. They do a great job for all of the services they provide and the price is reasonable. I've had several friends and co-workers who have used this nail salon as well and no one has ever complained about getting anything yucky from their shop.
