I wanted to find a nail salon closer to my house as opposed to driving to my old nail place in University Place. I found this place in a Google search so I decided to give it a shot. I decided to try Foxy nails out because of the reviews on here I called in advanced to make an appointment at 11. When Me and my friend arrive there were 3 other people so we had to wait 30 minuets because Tammy is the only one who does acrylics. My friend went first and they looked good and then when she got to me she removed my nail polish but did not file them or cut my cuticles which when I go to other nail places they do. I asked for coffin shape nails which some turned out fine but the others were more like square shaped. Half way through my service another person came in so I feel like she was in a rush because my nails were not put on correctly. Some of the acrylic was missing on the sides and she wasn't careful because it was all over my finger and under my nails there was acrylic chucks. When she finished painting my nails she took off and left somewhere so the other lady had to finish off adding a clear coat.I had them on for about 3 days when 2 of them broke off with me not even doing anything besides washing my hands. The ladies here are super polite and caring, but I got a pretty sloppy pedicure :( Edges weren't painted and had some polish on the skin around my toes. It was evident that the woman doing the painting was ready to get out of there, and it all felt very rushed. Decently priced though! Read Less

Today was my first experience here. Parking was a bit awkward, you can park in the mechanic shops lot directly next door. The inside was clean. They open clean tools in front of you. The two ladies were very friendly. They made conversation during the service which was great. No awkward silence or them just conversing amongst themselves. And the gel mani pedi was only $40! I asked about the cost of a fill, I was very surprised that she answered my question and then also explained the process to me that I could perform at home in case it was more convenient for me. I have never had a nail tech do that. It showed that she cared about my needs and not only making money. I love the large selection of gel colors that they have. I will be returning! Read Less

Had such a wonderful experience here! The customer service was amazing and on top of that I got the best deal on a gel manicure! $20 for a gel manicure is a steal! I waited a week before leaving a review so that I could test the quality of the manicure and it still looks amazing. The people here were nice, but my gels lifted two days after I had my nails done. Not to mention I had bubbles in two of the nails. I felt really rushed when they started getting busy. Excellent service! Found this place on yelp. Yes the outside and/or parking doesn't look like the Ritz but what matters most to me is customer service quality and price! Foxy Nails met all those and I will definitely be going back again before I leave Tacoma. Had my nails done out of state and wasn't happy Foxy Nails listened to my requests took their time and really did a great job! Owner is friendly and personable. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had a pedicure/manicure in my 29 years. I keep my nails short. I have a vacation coming up and wanted to do something nice for myself so I decided to check out Foxy Nails. I went around 1pm on a weekday and had no wait- a few people came in but didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes or so. For $40 I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. She did a great job! Like I said, I have short nails so I was worried there wouldn't be much she could do but they look awesome! She did great cleaning up my cuticles. I've never had a gel manicure before but I LOVE how I can get my car keys out of my purse, drive, etc after finishing and don't have to worry about smudging! I will definitely be back! Read Less

This place may not look pretty, but you can't beat their gel manicure. At $20, it's a steal. My last one lasted nearly three weeks before my right hand started chipping. My left hand still hadn't chipped after a month (there was some serious grow-out, though). The place itself could use a clean up. It's not the prettiest. But the girls are both super nice, give helpful advice, and are always available for an appointment. If you're looking for somewhere with a prettier environment, you should keep looking. If you're looking for a great value, this is the place. They do use sterile equipment. My manicurist unwraps my tools right in front of me. Read Less

I have been to plenty of nail salons and this one is my favorite! $13 for a fill is an amazing deal! I told the lady that my last gel experience was not a good one and it started peeling less than 24 hours at another salon. She ended up giving me the gel for free and paid more attention to the gel. I ended up giving her a $7 tip at the end because I was so happy with my experience. Only 4 stars because there was a point where the tech left me for about 20 min to start on a girl who came in after me instead of finishing me up. She also gave me a punch card to use for future visits. 10 gets you I think  some percentage off. Over all VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE! I kept checking this place for a few weeks and finally decided to stop by for a Mani/PediHad a great experience - paid $30 for the combo which isn't a bad price IMO it's what I pay in California. The gal I had was really nice and talkative which is always a plus.Place is small and cute. You have to park next door at the mechanics shop and it's clean. I'll be back in a few weeks for sure! The lady was super nice, so that's why the two stars. But either than that the acrylics I got here were horrible! They look fine from far away, but the shape was inconsistent between them all. She told me the shape I wanted was impossible because I wanted them to short for the style. I have seen nails shorter than mine with the shape I wanted, so I don't believe that. The design on the nails were not consistent either. I asked for red dots on black a black nail, you couldn't really see them. When you looked close though the dots were just strange. I would only come here for painted nails, not acrylics. They looked good when everyone was telling me they did. Lol. I didn't go back to get them fixed, just out of fear they would mess them up again, so I did go somewhere else. Like I said though, super nice girls, badly done acrylics :( Read Less

We had our first visit to Foxy Nails and it was a good place to go on 56th between L &M. There is parking on the east side of the building which you can almost miss if you're driving too fast. They have 4 pedicure massage chairs which were very comfortable and seem new. Kimmy did a fantastic job on our pedicures and my feet still feel very smooth. Tammy helped with painting after her nail customers were finished. They are a great pair of ladies that have a wonderful shop. Their prices were reasonable and I liked not going somewhere near the mall or to a stripmall. I'd definitely go again. Read Less

So the owner is a really sweet lady. They dont have the best track record for their consists results.I went in tonight and my nails turned out terrible I am very disappointed with the way they turned out I did talk with the owner about it and she said she would talk to the girl im very upset I was their for almost 3 hours and now im going to have to go pay someone to take them off and redo them.
