Nice salon! Very clean, nice decor, convenient location with decent parking, which is saying a lot in this area. The girls at the front were very nice. Layla did a fantastic job on my hair and it turned out beautiful! I left with a head full of highlights and lowlights that mixed perfectly and my newly colored strands smelled amazing!!! My nail tech is amazingly talented; my nails are works of art Everytime I leave--she's a perfectionist just like me & is understanding of every request I make. High end cost ($100 for fill and pedicure with tip) with low end experience. This place should be called a "nail bar" since that is exactly what it sounded like. Loud obnoxious 20 somethings, dirty nail desk and they allow kids screaming and jumping over the furniture. It took over 3 hours for a fill and pedicure. When I called I asked if they had a large selection of nail colors, OPI and they said yes "we have 100" which was not true. We actually had to go into an independent nail tech room and then there were only 2 I liked and that were of sufficient quality. The nail tech put some off brand polish she said was a good brand on my toe nails and the color was coral instead of pink which it looked like from the bottle. She then charged me an extra $5.00 to change it out. They also charged me $5.00 extra for the polish on the fill. They do not offer drinks or to hang your coat up and then you have to sign a form that you read their rules. I am not from Spokane and have lived in many different areas in the country and have NEVER experienced such poor customer service. But the longer I live here I am realizing most of Spokane is nothing but substandard to anywhere else. So if you want a SPA experience this is NOT the place! Read Less

Bought a months unlimited tanning package today. No tricks. Less expensive than most tanning salons in Spokane. This is not a snobby salon. I love the décor and smell. Very sweet employees (especially the little fluffy one). Did not try to push products or services but did inform me of many other services they offer, also reasonably priced. Worst gel manicure and pedicure I've ever gotten.  Went in to get a gel manicure before my brother's wedding and three of my nails peeled away within 3 days.  Way too thick, didn't do any work on my cuticles.  And they charged me over $100.  Won't go back. Read Less

I absolutely loved the atmosphere when I first walked in to de Soleil a couple years ago. With life changes happening, this was my "safe" place to come, even when it was to have my brows waxed! Full disclosure, I haven't been here for a service yet. I walked in at 4:30 on a Monday and had a very nice experience chatting with the gal at the counter, however. I explained what I wanted (eventually, were I to make an appointment).  She was friendly, responsive, and straightforward about their prices since my long hair/issues might need extra work. My regular tanning salon closed early one day, and I was trying to get a tan before going on vacation 2 days later. So I called Del Soleil and asked if they had a Bronzer bed, the kind that doesn't burn. She said yes, their stand-up bed was a bronzer and wouldn't burn. When I arrived at the salon, I confirmed with her 3-4 times that this was a bronzer bed and that I would not get burned. I told her it was extremely important that I didn't get burned because I wanted to visit my regular tanning salon the next day, and I was leaving for vacation the day after that. It is important to note that my regular salon does have an actual bronzer bed that does not burn. I laid the full time in that bed the two days prior to visiting Del Soleil and did not burn. Well guess what...the empolyees at Del Soleil obviously don't know what type of bed or bulbs they have in their own salon because I got totally fried in that bed. I mean even my face! I look like a cross between a lobster and a racoon! It seems to me that the employees of a tanning salon should know the difference between the types of beds/bulbs they have and how the percentage of UVA/UVB rays in the different types of beds/bulbs produce very different results. It also seems reasonable that if a customer asks a question that they don't understand or know the answer to, the employees should say they don't know rather than just glossing it over. I have always had acrylic nails. However, they were so hard on my natural/real nails that I took them off for over 18 months. I had a set of gel nails put on (at another salon) for our daughters wedding. I went to Willow at De Soliel and had her do a fill on my gel nails. They look so natural. The best part is they are less maintenance than the acrylics. I definately recommend De Soleil. The staff and Jen, the owner are very professional and friendly. A fun girls day out everyday. I cant wait to go back and try their other services; spray tan, tanning, facials, massages, pedicures, etc Oh and willow makes beautiful jewelry too. Its a small business with a great reputation. The second time I came in they knew me by name. I now get my nails done there by Katy - she's a pro and a sweet heart. The first time I got an airbrush tan I was in Bellevue, Washington - I ended up orange and skeptical of any others. De Soleil convinced me otherwise and now that is all I get and its a gorgeous bronze color and a lasting tan. This tanning/nails salon is a great price and a good location. It is not large- only 4 lay down beds and 1 stand up which makes it more difficult to get in if you go from 12-2 or 5-close. Making a reservation is a great/recommended idea. The staff/owners are very personable and friendly and get to know your name. They also dont shove buying lotion down your throat, like most salons I have been to. The salon is painted in dark colors and the rooms have open ceilings, which is unusual from what I am accustomed to- and slightly uncomfortable for the modest me. The colors are fun, but with the floor tend to come off as slightly unsanitary. There are no mirrors inside the rooms which can be annoying. Hope this helps! Read Less
