Honestly, this is the nicest nail salon in Kitsap. I've been happy with all of my services and this is over the course of a few years. I like that everything you need to know is on their website: services offered, prices and you can even book online. My only issue with the book online option is they only list a fraction of their staff on the site. Why? I don't know. I think my most favorite thing is that they're by appt only. Meaning when you schedule a 4:00 appt your service begins at 4:00. And even though they're by appt only I've never had an issue getting a next day appt and many time have scored same day appts. The real 5 star earner of this review is my nail tech, Ann. She is nothing short of phenomenal. And I'm having a selfish moment right now wondering if I should even go into detail because I don't want to share her. Ha! She isn't one of the select few technicians listed on the website for booking so you'll need to call to make an appt with her. Basically, Ann is the perfectionist I've always dreamed of. She is so very gentle and takes her time. My shellac mani, pedi with removal takes on average 2hrs and I leave with perfect nails. It's really nice because I can sit and close my eyes and relax knowing that Ann is taking care of me. Anywhere else I would be looking for lint or air bubbles in my polish. I just love her. Ok, so a little back story: the last time I got a pedicure was 3 years ago for my birthday and I was 36 weeks pregnant. The place that did it (the male tech who looked at me like he despised me) cut the corner of my toenails off and it gave me ingrown toenails for the first time in my life! My nails have never been the same. Needless to say, I was super weary about trying a new place, especially since I'm 36 weeks pregnant again. My husband got me an Apollo gift card that I have been holding on to since Christmas and I thought this would be a good time to use it. They got me in for the last pedicure appointment of the day. The receptionists were very polite. The girl who did the pedicure was so sweet even though she had probably been there all day and was very tired! When it was all done and I was waiting for my husband, all the ladies were cleaning and packing up for the night. They were all ready to go as they waited for my ride to show when another nail tech came over and tried to help me put my sandals on, resulting in it messing up the paint on one of my big toes. I wish I would have taken a picture-- there were 3 ladies all surrounding me, fixing my toe nail, loosening my sandals so they could be put on without touching the nails. Your typical strip mall mani-pedi place but nothing like you would expect of those places. In a great way! They have a front desk reception to actually take your calls, schedule appointments & ring up the sales after your appointment (so technicians can focus on pampering you)! Had a pedicure with a friend here. I made an appointment and when I arrived earlier they were waiting and ready for me. Clean place! A lot of pretty colors to choose from. I like the fact that they have a rewards program too! My girl friend and I were busy catching up and talking so it was nice not to have interruptions during our convo.  The staff was very respectful and delicate. Great feet massage! Generally I like this place, but recently I went and was sat in a chair that the staff knew was knowingly broken (second to last chair). It made loud noises and only some functions of the massage chair worked . I get my nails for the relaxation of everything - the leg massages, the cleaning, and the relaxation of the chair. I spoke to the lady doing my nails and the front desk, which were already aware it wasn't really working properly. Having recently moved back home I've been shopping for a new go-to nail salon. Apollo received some renovations a few years back and the new space is very clean and modern so I thought I'd check it out. I've been in twice, once for pedis and once for an eyebrow wax. While the pricing at Apollo's is a bit more than your average nail salon I felt I was paying for cleanliness and a higher quality of service. I watched as each station was cleaned after services and the massage chairs are heaven. They unfortunately don't offer acrylic services but that's a perk for me as it removes the chemical-y fumes smell which was a welcome surprise. They also don't use the cheese grater thing for exfoliation (stay clear from those bad boys - they are terrible for your skin!) but rather a gentle disposable pumice stone which I also appreciated. For waxing services, the rooms are spacious and clean and the esthetician was gentle and made sure to adhere to my shaping requests. Lastly, they offer a points based rewards system for repeat guests -YAY!Cons: They have a large wall for polish options, but I felt some of the colors were really old and almost empty. They really need to up their selection game, most the colors were orange/corals and less reds and pinks so I struggled to make a selection. Also for the pedi service, I had made an appointment for two pedis and while we were both seated side by side on time I sat with my feet in the bowl a good 10 minutes after my sister in law started, and then still finished before her. I came in on a busy Saturday without an appointment and they were able to squeeze my group of 3 in an hour later. I love that they have so many pedicure chairs available and that the place really has an upscale feel to it. Of course this comes with a higher price, but I felt like I got a really great pedicure. I had no idea this place excited and had locations on the other side of the water as well. It's also really nice to not be rushed out of the chair when you are finished or have your technician loudly chatting to her coworker's the whole time. I really liked the massage chair as well, it seemed to have a higher speed setting than most other ones which I enjoyed. I had previously broken my toe nail in half and my friend was healing from a broken toe but both were treated with care and came out looking fabulously. Had terrible experience today, lady rushed my pedicure and manicure, only did one coat of paint on both, I can see right through white on French manicure and toe nail polish. I was just there yesterday (4/2) for a "deluxe pedicure" I showed up on time and checked in front desk girl was nice and friendly, and then the technician called me back she had everything ready to go which was nice I got in the seat and she started with my toes... cutting the cuticles hurt a bit, she trimmed my nails, then went on to the scrub, they put the lotion on my legs and hot towels.... the entire time she was frowning, never once talking to me about anything acting l...ike she hated her job! Once she was done with the supposed leg massage she put the polish on my toes, handed me the receipt and said you pay..... I looked at the receipt and it said "spa pedicure, $33" which is what I paid.... I hate that I didn't tip but I sincerely feel there was reason for a tip.... I signed up for a "deluxe spa pedicure" which was $43, and supposed to be almost an hour long with paraffin wax! It took her maybe 30 mins.... I have dead skin on one of my big toes she never clipped off, my toes are sore now and there is polish all over my skin! I had a mani/pedi done. I came in during a slow day. I was rushed though both services. The woman who painted my nails did an awful job, my whole nail wasn't even painted. It also wasn't even close to dry when they finished. They don't offer any quick drying solutions so my polish was smudged. Way over priced for the job they do. Called in advance to make a reservation. They told me they no longer do acrylics but that the manager could remove my acrylics and give me a gel manicure. The manager took off my acrylics by cutting the edges of an plastic nail tip to make it sharp and then proceeded to wedge in under my acrylics to pick them off... not only was it painful, she made me bleed and ripped off my real nails. THEN told me she could not give me a gel manicure because my nails were too bad.... because she ripped them off!!! I literally paid $30 for her to rip off my nails... which I could have done myself. Decided to go with a friend, and have heard iffy things but wanted to have a nice day out. The inside is definitely amazing, and the best ventilated nail salon I've personally been too. Good selection of colors, but that's where I ran into the first issue. Obviously they all have different formulas and such, but the first one was super thin and not opaque in the least, I noticed this on the first finger, so I said could we try a darker one? Definitely thicker, but extremely streaky. So bad, that the FIRST lady did 3 coats (not counting the base coat and original color). Then, her friend next to her, after she finished my friends manicure, did an extra two coats. The color looked fine, wasn't streaky finally. But should not take that many coats. Before I even left the place they were getting messed up. Took all day to dry because of so many coats. And looking at my nails now (3 days later) they are all uneven layers. As in you can see where some nail is only one coat, and other parts is 5 coats. It was hard to communicate what I wanted with them, they just seemed to want to go step by step then be done. We moved to Seattle 3 weeks ago and started looking for a good nail salon. All places in downtown have negative reviews and more important for me even positive reviews have pictures of really bad work. Appolo Nails&SPA didn't have best reviews either but at least all pictures of work were decent. So I decided to give it a try. I invited my friend and we had both mani and pedi. I did regular polish, she did gel. Both results were really great. We left this place happy.The only one advice I would give to this place manager is to expand the gel brand selection. Currently Appolo is working only with CND and it's not the best product that exists on the market. OPI and ORLY produce really high quality gels. And their color selection is more interesting. So today I took my mom to Apollo nails in Silverdale. Me being 8 months pregnant I really needed a perfect pedicure. I told her I have been there before and although we have been going to Hot nails for over six years I convinced her to try it out because they take their time and it really is worth your buck. They don't rush and they really put effort into making it relaxing and longer. My little brother was with us and he is nine. He was begging and begging to get done what w...e were getting done so my mother decided since he did very well in school the last few weeks and getting certificates for his above and beyond behavior he could get one too. We asked how much it would be for a child's pedicure and the lady said under 9 bucks. Then the manager(she really shouldn't be) proceeded to say that since they already took two mins to trim his toes and nails that it would be 25 for pedicure and 10 for the nail and toe nails trim. ( Even though the pedicure included toe trim). Needless to say 35 dollars for them to spend half the time as our pedicures and even more expensive then our pedicure is absolutely insane in my opinion. He got no color, received a ten min massage and he was done. My mother now will never go back there. Even though they are the best at pedi's customer service is everything. My mother was already having a tough day, I was hurting and in pain from contractions and here we are trying to enjoy a day that ended up stressing me out, causing a scene and making me want to ball my eyes. I couldn't be anymore in shock as to what happened this evening at the Silverdale location! My mother in law took my daughter and her cousin, 14 yrs old, to get manicures. Now I have gone to Apollo since they opened, my mother in law goes all the time and I even vote for them year after year for best nail salon, I won't be do so anymore! When the girls were done Grammy went to pay and presented them with a coupon she had received from the Poulsbo location just a few weeks ago. For some reason the year on it was 2014, the lady insinuated that she was trying to scam them as people gathered. While it's not the least expensive nail place in Kitsap County, my sister chose this place for the ventilation. She made a great decision on that because I usually end up fighting off a migraine from chemical fumes & this time I didn't! Totally worth the extra couple bucks. I personally saw them sanitize the chair after draining my water. That made me feel better (& cleaner) knowing they do that for everyone. A family member and I went here this morning and we will NEVER go back. I got a pedicure and she got a manicure and we both felt completely singled out. From the moment we got in there; we were laughed at because we were asking about prices. (Which are WAY to high for the horrible service and quality that you get). And I also was told to wait while 3 other people who came in after me were started on their pedicures! Unbelievable! And I know they were walk ins. They also bruised my grandmas arm while rubbing it. They really rushed through what should have taken at least 30 minutes. Long story short. This place is HORRIBLE. Don't waste your money!! Really great atmosphere and everyone is so nice!! For these reasons I MIGHT return. I went in for a pedicure. The varnish job was done REALLY well, it's been a couple weeks and it has not chipped (just grown out normally). I booked an appointment with Apollo Nails for my bridal party leading up to my wedding. Although the staff was nice, it turns out that they decided to keep my $130 deposit on the appointment (which doesn't go towards any of the services by the way, it's just to hold your spot) and when I asked about they told me "sorry about the miscommunication" and that it was totally unrefundable. I've only had pedis at this spot- so this review is only for those toes!Overall, I've had lovely, quick service. I have never had a problem with color selection- I always find a color to match my seasonal mood (although it does take me like 10 minutes, I think I have commitment issues). I usually wait a few minutes, as I am always a walk in, and then get my little piggies soaking in the warm foot bath. The atmosphere is calming, with LOTS of pedicure stations. I come here with my hubby (no color for his toes, though) and we always get two chairs by each other. My only issue is their callus removing process. It's more of a pleasant buff, rather then the ole' cheese grater. While it feels nice, I leave there with rough feet still. I can understand why they don't want to use the traditional methods (it's gross, ok?), but I always pay extra at nail salons to have it done, so usually that makes up for it. Buff me a lil harder, and I'll be happier. Overall, it's a very relaxing treat for me, and I'll be back soon. Sucks! All I wanted was a gel french mani. The lady tried to pass off a defective paint job. I made her fix one nail. But, there were 4 other nails that needed to be redone. I had lumps and uneven french tips. She painted over some towel fuzz.  She had to have seen it! And she must have chosen to leave it that way...  hoping I wouldn't notice. She over cut cuticles, I have actual cuts and sore spots on my nails. It's been a day since; and my fingers still hurt. Terrible nail job and over priced I feel I was over charged for the work. The only reason I retracted a star is because the technician cut my toe nails very round on the end; half-a star would be a more accurate deduction.  As a person who gets ingrown toenails I usually cut them straight across.  The nails on my big toes are almost circular.  I couldn't figure out how to turn the percussion off on the chair so I left it off.  The staff was pleasant and they have lots of room for clientele.  I counted 8 manicure tables and at least 12 pedicure chairs.  The cost was reasonable, especially because it felt like my massage lasted for 30 minutes which was great.  The technician did a good job painting my small toenails.  She was very meticulous, a black French tip is not easy task. I came to Apollo to do a fill on my eyelash extensions since my usual girl in Tacoma was overbooked. worst experience ever!!She glued eyelash glue in clumps that attached to chunks of my natural lashes which hurt. She didn't comb them while doing it which resulted in it looking tacky and clumpy.  Her methods and technique suggested she didn't have enough practice or real training in this art.
