Me: thin hair, not fussy, I go with what they recommend as they're the professionals and hair grows back - always! I usually get 3-6 inches off with layers and sometimes a bang trim. Them: accommodating, welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, efficient, affordable, and professional. Since moving in the area last October I dreaded finding a hair salon as my hair grows so fast and I cut it 2-3 times per year. I am so happy to find my new go to spot as it accommodates all my needs. I usually never do a review but I just had to! I had Cô bé (for those of you who know viet) as my stylist today. She was so nice and did my hair exactly how I wanted or even better than I imagined. This was my first time coloring my hair professionally and the experience was great! Not too long of a wait since I came in early on a Thursday. And the pricing was great as well! My experience here with Rondi was the best hair salon experience that I have EVER had!  I will be 52 and stayed away from hair salons as I felt that they just wouldn't do what I asked.  But then I met Rondi and I guarantee you that I will be back 10 times over again and have hired her as my permanent hair person.  I told her that I needed a new look as I was attending my nephews high school graduation -  I've never looked so beautiful - thank you Rondi, you're the best! The lady that was doing may pedicure was offended when I pointed out that she missed a spot. She got up and left me sitting there. The owner came over to finish the job and scolded me saying that I was rude to the first lady. I was baffled because I clearly was not rude in my tone or demeanor.Another time I was there, the provider kept coughing in my face and did not cover her mouth.I will never go back there again. We have been going to Tina's for years and I finally decided that it was time to write a review. The main part of the business is haircutting for men, women and children, I think. Next comes waxing, then hair coloring and nails. It's not a Gene Juarez style salon with ambience and free coffee and tea, but you pay less than half the price of most salons and you get great results. Sometimes it's a madhouse with lots of people waiting, but cut by cut, customers are served and satisfied. We are loyal and happy customers! Read Less

Hooked on their $25 styling. I attended *five* weddings this summer and had them style my hair for each. Very happy with the results. No appt necessary, just walked in and pointed to my frizz and said, "Fix?" Within 5-10 minutes, I was in a chair. I went here to fix a bad dye job so they knew me - I think that helps. Lots of regulars here and they make an effort to acknowledge them, which is nice. Not the place for a fancy cut, but great for affordable styling, trims and, as mentioned above, fixing bad dye jobs. Friendly staff in a full service salon that offers hair, nails, and waxing. It has easily become our family's favorite in the neighborhood. They have a bunch of regular customers and I can see why. My favorite nail tech is Quynh, who always does a fabulous job. She turned me on to shellac manis and is extremely sweet. My hubby and sons have seen Bebe and Tina for their haircuts. They were very interested in making sure they got the haircut right (my guys are pretty nitpicky about their hair), and the ladies did not flinch or lose their patience.Great hours and value priced paired with excellent customer service. local salon - they did more men's hair than women's while I was there, and I saw they do nails, hair, and eyebrow waxing. clearly tons of regulars. the staff were all lovely and kind ladies, and I walked out with a fresh polish change ($7) and an impulsive blowout ($20 !!!!!!!!!) in under an hour. they're not five stars for an impeccable high end spa/salon, but they're five stars for what they are: flexible, efficient, kind, and good at their respective jobs. it helps, too, that the blow out was better than I've paid 3x for at fancier spots. will definitely be back! I had Bibi cut my hair. She had it washed, cut, and out the door in 30 minutes! It looks great and better than my last $50 haircut at another salon.It was only $15 for my hair (I do have relatively easy hair)I will become a regular here.They do accept walk-ins, but I called the day of and got right in! The customer service is much better than your average nail place; though it seems to get more business for hair cuts.They have one manicure chair and two pedicure chairs. A box of closed shellac colors with no sample so I had to open each color to see it (ended up going with white because I know for sure what white looks like on my nails)  and regular polishes were very unorganized and seemed kind of old and couldn't find the right shade (in blue pink or purple) that I usually like on my skin tone.The pedicure tubs were rinsed off with water before the next person. I was the next person and then again for the person after me, not very clean to say the least. Mani and pedi $35 which is a steal in my opinion, if only it was more sanitary and more color options and sample of the shellac on those fake nails (y'all know what I'm talking about) What I liked: service, they were all very kindAnd the shellac lasted a full week and a half before starting to crack. It was busy when I came in for a walk in, but they fit me in quickly.Quality of nail polishes available are not the best, so if you have your favorite, perhaps bring it.Being that I reside in Columbia City, I like to support the neighborhood businesses. I found it on yelp because of its strong ratings and mostly positive reviews. I am here to confirm as I have mostly positive things to say! The place is really clean and the staff are super nice. Walking in is cool if you're willing to wait a few minutes! If you're rushing, make an appointment or get your caffeine fix and come back  :) This place is great. Nina who did my nails was extremely friendly. Their prices are fairly reasonable, given that the spa pedi includes that hot compress thing (I don't know the technical name). I love their pedicures and the massage chairs. I've had a brow wax done by Tina. She is very experienced and quick on the draw! She did a great job with the shape of my eyebrows. Tina did AMAZING job cutting my 5 years old daughter's hair today and Nina did AMAZING job as well cutting my 2 years old daughter's hair... To top it off, Tina offered both girls a lollipop at the end of the cut  (she ask me first if it's okay). This place saved me much stress on Sunday afternoon!!After missing an appointment at a wax bar (due completely to negligence on my part) I cried and stressed about where to get my eyebrows done before work on Monday -this is impossible btw- and quickly adapted to looking fo Sunday afternoon availabilities- also, very slim opportunities.Tina's salon was not only open on a Sunday, it was open until 5!!! Yes! I walked in and was immediately helped. I got my lip and eyebrows waxed very quickly, after describing what I needed done, and they only charged $10. $10!!!!! What a wonderful price. This little salon can't be beat in value. Their prices are phenomenally low - I once got a wash, haircut, dye, highlighting, drying and straightening, for around $60. (Can't say what the price is now, this was in 2010.). Anyway, I recently got a haircut there for about $10, so I know the prices are still reasonable. The ladies are not the most affluent in English. But if you have a picture of what you want, this shouldn't be a problem. I live far from Seattle now, but catch them when I can. Read Less
