this place is great, I went there for a pedicure the staff were so nice they offered drinks and I asked for iced coffee. I received an amazing foot message from them and the manicure was great as well. They offer free hot towels and paraffin wax, the service you get from this place is next to none.I would really recommend this place and have already told friends about this place and their amazing service. I’ve been going to Day Nails for years. It’s by far my favorite nail salon in Seattle. Tina and her employees are all so competent and their massages are the perfect mix of gentle and deep. I really like this place! One of the best, if not the best, nails place in the area. The ladies working there are nice and very detailed oriented. They are friendly and I enjoy their Vietnamese coffee. Even though, they may make comments in Vietnamese, they are very polite and discrete. They don’t leave you feeling dumb as they were laughing at you like in so many other places I have been.they also give you a nice hand, foot and back massage (when you are doing mani and pedicure). Best nail salon in West Seattle! I went there today for the 2nd time, and it was just as enjoyable as my first visit The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're happy. Drinks are included (I love the Vietnamese coffee), as well as hot towels around your feet & legs (for a spa pedicure), and a great neck/back massage once your nails are done. Amy & Me both looked after me today, and were so sweet! I like that they don't do acrylic nails, so the harsh chemicals/dust aren't in the air in the salon (much better for your lungs!). Great staff, ownership, and atmosphere. All the employees are skilled, and they really care about doing a good job. The massage you get with the mani or pedi are great, but they add in a neck/shoulder massage if you do both!! Wow! The 5 star rating is well deserved!! I walked in for a mani pedi without an appointment.  They squeezed me in and as I waited the owner went out of her way to acknowledge me and offerred me a Vietnamese coffee. When I finally got seated i was assigned two nice employees. They were very pleasant and smiled.  Last i got a nice little neck massage while i waited for my nails to dry.  I was extremely happy with the great job!  My new place to go!! Read Less

If it weren't for the Vietnamese coffee I wouldn't have thought I was at the same place all these reviews are coming from.First, parking is weird and sucks. It's off to the side not very easy to get in/out. Hope you have a small car and are good at reversing out of tight spaces. If you park in front they ask you to move it. Second, they have two locations. Walked into the obvious one and was sent to the one several yards away with coffee at hand. Had an appointment but left with my feet to soak for about 20min before getting worked on. Never given any shellac colors to look at, picked my colors from the pedicure chair. Toe polish application is alright, not great. The rest of the pedicure was pretty good. Shellac mani... I got filed rounded nails, some are crooked and uneven and somehow, not smooth (see pictures) so I have to file them other wise it's kind of ridged and hurts if I itch a spot on my body. the application as well kind of bumpy and uneven with a couple bubbles on a few nails. Overall not happy with how my nails turned out, also cut on a thumb during mani. during the buffing, lots of skin contact I constantly pulled away from. I didn't feel all the tools were sterile and they reuse files/buffers. 4 people came in with mani/pedi appointments at the same time but separate parties... two sent to the other place yards away... maybe each place should have their own appointment book? Although the one sent away did say she made it for that specific spot, she was still walked out the door and sent to the other spot. The massage and paraffin wax was cool. The Vietnamese coffee concentrate was cool. (Comes heavily iced because it should be watered down or have added milk... I waited for my ice to melt but if you don't know that, you're drinking concentrate and that's why it's so sweet and that's why they give you so much ice. Love the way Tina operates this place. She's very customer oriented and these lady's take their time. I hate feeling rushed but the friendly people here at Day Nails and Spa do a outstanding job of not rushing. Day Nails and Spa seems to be a booming nail salon. When I came here first, there was only one location; now there are three very close to each other. The first visit was great. I came early to avoid a crowd and was serviced right away. I also had their delicious Vietnamese coffee. The biggest reason I get pedicures is for the massage. During my first visit, I remember a longer than average massage, which was wonderful. I also got a gel manicure with a nice shoulder/arm/hand massage. The only critique that I have for my first visit was that they put your nails under the curing lamp for way too long. My hands actually hurt and they insisted that you keep putting them in for long periods of time. My manicure did not last any longer than usual so I found that very unnecessary. My second visit was just a pedicure. They served me right away (had a same day appt). They were friendly. The pedicure was efficient. I was offered a beverage. I was hoping for the longer massage, but this time it was very standard. I did notice the lady next to me getting a longer massage so I was a little peeved. Tina is a fabulous owner-my husband and I enjoy getting monthly to bi-monthly pedicures, we miss seeing her during our services as she has become very busy. I've had 5 star reviews for every visit until now. It dropped to 3 star as our more recent visit left us a bit disappointed. The young lady working with me (new face that we haven't seen before) didn't take the time to confirm what I wanted. We had a slight language barrier during the explanation- (pedicure with a clear ...coat finish) she did not remove my previous French tip base coat with polish remover prior to diving right into my service and finished with a buff to the nail making it shiny. The previous polish was still visible mid nail. When I pointed it out she still was unaware of what I was talking about. This was after applying a far too hot steam towel directly from the warmer, leaving the tops of my feet very red and tender. A veteran employee came over to assist and completed the nail service with a polish removal and clear coat finish. My husband however had a great service and wonderful pedicurist. Stopped in yesterday because my nails needed attention. Went on yelp and found this place, since it was nearby, rated 5 stars, I went for it! Hey, why not?! Easy to find, its right by the pizza shop. A little hidden, small, parking in the back, once inside, you're greeted with friendly ladies tending to their regulars. I called 10 minutes prior to let them know I was on my way, so basically I was a walk-in. They had me choose my color and started up my water. I sat down in a comfy massage chair, and was immediately greeted and asked if I would like some vietnamese coffee, "...uh...huh? Vietnamese coffee? Yes, I would love one,  thank you!" I was thinking, oh my, whether its free or if I have to pay, its awesome to have.  I didn't get much sleep so I felt grateful that they had that option, along with other beverage options. It was served in a glass with crushed ice with a straw and spoon. Super delicious and absolutely what I needed! The cleaning process of my cuticles was great, they did a thorough job and took their time. I loved that, I hate when places rush and I did not get that vibe at all. They truly took their time to make sure my hands and feet were taken care of. And did I mention, the mani/pedi combo includes a shoulder and arm massage? As well as the lower leg massage? I WAS THRILLED! something i really needed after a long weekend working! It was such a great way to get pampered. The ladies were so sweet and entertaining too! They have free wifi for you to use, just ask! Delicious coffee, great pedi/mani, everything was more than what I was expecting. It was truly a wonderful pampering experience.
