I am from the Midwest--here in Seattle for four or five weeks to help my daughter before and after surgery. My daughter found the reviews for this salon and booked an appointment for a gel manicure for me as I was missing my appointments at home. This salon is solid! I had a weird experience here. I called during business hours and didn't get an answer. The owner lady called me back which is unusual since I didn't leave a message. She was really aggressive about getting me in. She actually called me twice. When I came in for my appointment I was disappointed in the lack of color choices and I was hoping to get something really fun for my upcoming vacation. She then told me that she "doesn't do (nail) art", because she doesn't have time. At that point when I couldn't even find a color I liked I decided not to get my nails done here at all. I found my favorite nail gal! After living in the area for a year, I finally had the right timing and opportunity to get in to see Christina, and it was nothing less than the other fabulous reviews she's received. She a lovely lady, takes pride in her quality work at amazing prices for the area, and makes sure you're comfortable along the way. It's her place, and she's a solo technician so it's not like you can have a pedi party with a bunch of friends, but that's ok because it's like being treated by your own personal technician. I had gone to many nail salons around west Seattle and never had luck. They would always mess up my nails or never do what I asked. After I saw Christina's amazing reviews online I decided to give her a shot. And let me just say from an honest opinion: she is awesome. I came in with messed up nails my first time and she fixed them up and made them look great again. She's also super sweet and friendly. I don't really have anything to add to all the other positive reviews, but I couldn't not give this place a great rating after my experience. I called in the week before I had a wedding to go to and Christina got me in the next day for a pedicure. She's friendly, courteous, and professional. I was really happy with the price of my pedicure (I can't remember now exactly what her price was -- pregnancy brain! -- but it was around $30, ballpark) and almost a month later it is still looking great. I am from out of town, and before I found Christina I made the mistake of going to a different nail place (that completely ruined my nails). However made a nail apt. With the good faith by YELP reviews were right. Christina has five stars, really who gives those out?!?!?!? Well sure enough here I am giving the same amount! She was friendly, fast, really efficient........ And being from California I have "nail standards" so as picky as I am, Christina satisfied me completely and did a great job. Love, love, LOVE this place.  Christina is fantastic - super sweet, personable, and accommodating (she stayed late the evening I called, even though she had plans, to make sure I was perfectly polished for a trip to Vegas the next day).  And she's so adorable, I kind of want to be friends with her in real life.  The shop is small but super clean, and there is plenty of parking nearby.  The mani/pedi was awesome - Christina is very thorough and the polish lasted longer than I expected it to.  She even taught my BF (via FaceTime) the appropriate foot massage technique, which I expect to pay dividends. :)As far as I can tell, Christina is a one-man show, so you'll need to make an appointment in advance... but it's absolutely worth the wait.  Best salon in West Seattle, hands down. There aren't enough stars! Christina is a angel. Welcoming, soft spoken, professional and just plain amazing! She runs the place all by herself and is a total doll! I found her here on yelp and will never ever ever go anywhere else in Seattle to get my nails done. Not only does she do a great job but the manicure and pedicure lasts a long time! I've been going to this nail salon for years. I love the fact that is it is owned and operated by one woman, Christina, and her assistant Thuy (pronounced Twee). They are friendly and always have relaxing music on. Sure...it's not goign to a 5 star aveda salon, but $35 for a well done mani pedi is an unbeatable deal. Try them out.
