Went in with my mom and sister to get nails done for wedding. I was looking for a specific look which I had a picture of and I was torn between the same color but one was gel and one was powder I asked the girl what she liked better and she said she didn't know. She placed the acrylic nail on my left middle finger wrong and then she ripped it off and when I flicked back from the pain she asked if it hurt, and I was like YES! then she used the machine to file it down some and she filed to much and I could feel the burn on my nail bed and pulled back my hand again. My sister had a hard time communicating with her about what shape of nail she wanted so my sister showed her a picture and she still got it wrong. The shape and smoothness of my nails turned out but my sisters nails were bumpy and still sticky when the guy came over and told her that she was done all dry but she wasn't and they were just trying to rush her out of the chair to make room for customers coming in. My sister and I both did not get a soak, cuticle trim or lotion on our hands. When I was done with my pedicure the guy left to start on a another couple and it took me 10 minutes to get someone's attention to ask if I could get some sandals so I could leave. After I had sat there 15 minutes to let them dry. My mom was told by her lady that she charged her wrong and ask that my mom put $15 for the tip to correct for her mistake, my mom was charged more to begin with and she just got a basic mani and pedi while my sister and I got acrylic set and we paid less then she did. The facility itself was dirty and gross. I'm pregnant and had to go to the bathroom twice and the first time I noticed that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, there were spider webs in all the corners with visible spiders and the second time the seat was left up with pee all over the seat and there had been no male customers in the salon except for the men that worked there. I really wanted to give this place a try because everyone rants and raves about it, after our experience I have no idea why. Will never go back here no matter how much someone tells me how great they are. If I could give 0 stars I would. Read Less

My sister and I went here for the first time the other day and we will NEVER go back! I wanted a simple color change. A lady seated me immediately and began soaking my Gel polish off but then she sat another lady by me and began working on her full set of Acrylics. I sat there for 45 minutes while she did the other girls nails. Then the owner told the girl to start working on mine since I had been there for so long. She ignored him and continued to finish up the other ladys nails. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. They cant handle the volume they're presented with and both my nails and my sisters look like we did them ourselves! Read Less

I love this place, been a customer for 2 years. They do a great job and are conscientious. I love how i can show them a Pinterest photo and they  create what i want!   Today I witnessed a lady giving the workers a bad time because they refused her service as, with all their years of experience, noticed the status of (or lack of) healthy nails. Went in with my mom and they had one person to work on both of our nails. My nails were lifting a little at the bottom, but it had only been two weeks since I went for a fill and this had not been an issue in the past. They took my nail polish off then started to pick one of my nails off and ripped half my real nail off. Then said he couldn't do the rest of my nails because of "nail fungus". I do not and have never had nail fungus. I have always had an issue with the bottom of my nails lifting and have never been declined service before. Bad customer service, over charge here. Do not go. My girlfriend and I have been going to Danny's for just under a year. Sometimes we bring my two daughters with us. Our last visit was terrible. My girlfriend, my two daughters, and I waited for over an hour only to have the customer that came in after us with her two granddaughters served before us. This customer didn't wait to be called and helped herself to a chair before we were taken care of. Nobody said anything or did anything to correct the situation. Also, the lady that had been doing a wonderful job with our nails is gone. We walked out and will not be going back. I do not recommend this salon. 0 stars. Read Less

I have been going here for the past 12+ years. Tommy is the owner, he does a fantastic job which makes him extremely popular & busy all the time. Because he's in high demand, there may occasionally be a wait, but he's totally worth the wait. The rest of his crew is pleasant & attentive. They give phenomenal pedicures & gave just about any color in shellac too! My loyalty is to this shop, I've had my nails screwed up when I was in a pinch & it's just not worth going elsewhere. Awesome rates, customer service and atmosphere. I have never been here before but will be returning, I going a full gell set 35 and deluxe pedicure 30. The pedicure included an awesome massage, paraffin wax and leg scrub including fresh sliced oranges. Did I say the leg massage was heavenly...my nails are shaped just as I asked. At one time it was a great place to get your nails done. No longer. Even with an appointment they sit you in water waiting and leave you there while they take walk ins. They are so greedy they choose to take more customers than they can handle at the customers expense. Read Less

I don't like giving bad reviews but after my awful experience there today with my friend I have to share. It would be no fun for you.... We arrived as walk -in's at 4pm.. owner told us right away to pick our colors. We were there for one simple mani and a fill. There were 4 workers there mind u. We got called over to the chairs and sat there to see that others coming in after us were getting started on right away..( They had appointments).. if you have an appointment, yes you get takin care of usually at that time ... only problem was the LACK of communication to us what was going on, or the curtisity to let us know we would have a certian wait time... NOPE.. we sat for 45 mins without our nails being touched. Finally I called my friend who knows the owner & told him the situation. He talked to the owner Danny himself and made it where we didn't have to pay for our nails. ( only reason why we decided to stay...) Long story short, after the call, we sat even longer to wait till ours were done... watching others after us get theirs done etc... In between 1 gal walked out after waiting 25 mins...and 1 had been there 45 mins and got left waiting to get the rest of her nails finished, she spoke  up and said she had somewhere to go and they please needed to finish with the painting or she had to leave them plain and cone back tomorrow. The gal walked away from starting in mine and went to her.. then left her again and went to another.. gal ended up leaving 30 mins later! No joke. Finally... it's 530 now and mine are just getting started.. yep! At 630 mine got finished! Danny told us we didnt have to pay but to leave a tip. Really a tip after all that?!?! We both had no cash so he said we could do a tip on a debit card.. we had gal our cards & said we would tip 5 each and he told us that we couldn't put just 5 on a card..so could we put it on one. My friend spoke up and said to just put it on hers. The lady ended up charging it on my card and not hers!! Whole thing was a mess! They need to let customers know that there would be a certain wait time instead of makin people sit and wait long like that. People have lives & other places to go. They also are the slowest nail salon ever to work on a set of hands. A normal fill and color is usually 25 mins tops.. mine took 1 hour. I wont ever go back there. It is sad because they do a nice job but not worth the long time having to wait like that. Make sure you can spare 3.5 hrs... or call in. Only way you get attention there. Still slow though. BEST SALON! Both my mother and I love coming to Danny's nails. We haven't found one yet that does as good a job as Tommy does. When we come in, we are immediately greeted and the wait is never to long. Tommy seems to have a great relationship with all of his regular customers. We always leave happy! Read Less

I have been coming to Danny's for many years. I was referred there by a bank teller whose nails I complimented. I've had pedicures, manicures and full sets. My experience has always been good. They are friendly and provide a good service. I love that they remember me when I come in and do their best to fit me in timely. They can get pretty busy at times, and so I can see why people comment about wait times. I haven't had that experience but I also try to stay clear of their busier times.  I moved from the Puyallup area 4-5 years ago and still travel 40 minutes to where I know I will get a good pedicure! I recommend Danny's with no reservations.  Why not 5 stars? I have a particular pedicurist that I prefer to see and she is definitely 5 stars, I would give the others 4 stars, not because they do a bad job... It's just my favorite lady is soooo good! I recently moved to Puyallup and have tried four other local nail salons, all of which I will not be returning to. Danny nails is the only salon that actually took the time and effort to get my feet looking pedi perfect and callous free. They use a tool that looks like a cheese grater to painlessly and safely remove dead and dry skin. Then a pumice stone was used to vigorously smooth my feet to a touchable soft texture. I am so relieved to have FINALLY found a place that gets my "hooves" looking and feeling up to my summer time standards. It is very inexpensive and is a clean shop. Staff was very friendly. The place isn't fancy but it is kept well, it is a regular looking nail salon but the results are fantastic. My pedicure was time consuming because they took the time to make sure it was done right.
