Trina was my nail tech.  Professional and friendly. Assisted me right away. Enjoyed the atmosphere; it was roomy and well maintained. I enjoyed her friendly conversation and attention to detail and fixing what issues I had. Not five stars because the set wasn't as neat and natural looking as I had wanted them to be,  like thinner near the nail bed, and behind some of the nails. This place is great. Brenda was very careful with my nails and paid attention to details. Hands down the best manicure I've ever gotten. I came in with two broken nails and she fixed them and made my nails thicker to prevent them from breaking next time, but didn't make them look too bulky. Mimi has been my go to girl for years(since I was 16). The salon is my second home considering I'm there every two weeks for my fill & pedicure. I literally can sit at her chair and she knows what shape to do without even asking. I'm a receptionist so people stare at my hands all day and I get asked where I get my nails done daily. I can be indecisive when it comes to picking out the correct shade that matches my Pinterest pictures or design in my head and mimi instantly knows what colors work best with my idea and skin tone. I do a different color/design at every visit & she is so patient with me & willing to paint the color on my acrylic to see if it's a shade I like before we proceed to the next nail. Honestly the worst place , ever...I've been here before about 3 years ago and had a bad experience then so I thought I would try them out again. Such a bad idea. I always get the gel polish w/ my fill - two days after my fill the gel started to peel up .. she even tried to charge me EXTRA when I wanted a nail polish change , all I wanted was her to trim my toe nails down... $8 extra for that. I told her I would just like a refund and I don't need my toes painted so she ended up cutting them at no charge but cut them crooked and this is honestly the worst job I've ever had.... It's not a bad place I came in before to get my nails taken off. And that was hell because the gel that was used is stronger than others used. I got that at a different salon. Anyway I got my nails and toes done for 75. I didn't get to choose what pedicure treatment I wanted she said I had a lot of dead skin. Yes I know. Well the pedicure I would pay for again. The nails. Not so much. They were uneven and too thick for my liking. They got me in as soon as I got there which was nice cause it got busy after. Well as she was doing my nails more people showed up. And I hate going from table to table. That's another reason for a lower review. When I go to a saloon I want the same nail tech for the whole thing. I cannot remember the name of the tech but her name is on a lamp. Anyway the pedicure was amazing they filed my toes twice to get the dead skin off. I'm not sure what else to call it. Super inviting atmosphere, really nice workers! They did an awesome job and made sure everything was to my liking. I accidentally messed up one of my acrylics and the worker was super nice about it and fixed it in a timely manner. This place gives the best pedicures ever! They scrub your feet and use the cheese grater thing to get off the dead skin 2 different times, as well as give a great foot and leg massage. The place is clean, the employees are quiet and don't yell across the building, and when I needed a gel nail repair they did it complimentary. I highly recommend this place!!! Read Less

I started going here when Brenda 1st opened Nails 2000 about 16-17 years ago she has done a phenomenal job at keeping the quality and cleanliness top notch in her salon! Nails 2000 has received health fines for violations in the salon. Go to WA State website to check for your own safety. I didn't know I could check for myself until after visiting here. I made an appointment for a full set but when I arrived I became very suspicious of the ladies and if they were indeed licensed or certified. There was only one women in the entire busy salon that spoke enough English to communicate with me at all and she wasn't going to be my manicurist. She had to explain to someone else what I wanted. The place was packed with employees (and their children) but only one lady could speak well enough to communicate with the customers, how does that make sense??. That was weird. How did every one of her employees manage to get certified and licensed but they can't speak English? They do waxing as well but I don't know if they have the waxing certification. It doesn't feel on the up and up, so I left. I don't know if this will help anyone or not because it seems like people who get there nails done regularly are o.k. with this this kind of unprofessional business practices. Read Less

Ok, so....I've been to a ton of nail salons around the Puyallup area and its been really hit or miss as to the quality of service I've received. Today I had to take my comforter to the laundromat and a few doors down I noticed this salon. Waiting for an hour while my comforter dried didn't sound fun, so I popped into Salon 2000 for a mani. Oh boy was I surprised!! Rose did my mani and she was exceptional! She took her time, made sure each nail matched/looked good and she spoke excellent English :) I never felt rushed and the hand/arm massage at the end was wonderful. I wish Mimi had a nail salon in my locale. I just had a manicure last week when my husband and I traveled to Northern California and I cannot believe how much cuticle she cleaned off. I love the amazing job that Trish has done to my eyebrows. I moved almost three years ago to Washington and this is the first place I've placed my trust in because of family recommendations. The first two times, Trish followed my natural shape. On my most recent visit, I asked to give me a bit more of an arch and she did a great job! She didn't go crazy thin! You ladies know what I'm talking about lmao the kind where you just don't feel like there's hope anymore! LOLTrish is always welcoming. She never fails to ask how I've been doing and reminds me that she's there if I ever plan on getting a manicure, pedicure, etc...I recently made up my mind that I will not be going back to my usual nail spot. I came in the first time with a specific request and I was amazed at how she took the picture I showed her and made it even better with different colors. I've gone to this place a few times normally I love it, but normally I go in and they're not as busy. And apparently even make an appointment isn't helpful because if it starts getting busy behind you ready made an appointment or not they rush you out, I paid for shellac and the lady who does my nails already knows and really fussy about my nails. And no she didn't use the shellac because all the colors but the base coat wore off she put the shellac underneath regular paint and now it's chipping in a horrible way and its only been 4 days. Usually I love when windy colors my nails and does designs on them I told her exactly what I wanted and I showed her a picture it looks nothing like the picture I asked for cherries they really look like apples but I'll let you judge. I went here because of how great of the reviews were. I am NOT happy at all with the service I had received. I wasn't greated at the door. Told me to pick a color. I was there to get a pedicure, acrylic, and eyebrow waxing. First off they gave me extremely hot water in my foot soak, and I told them to cool it down they finally did. He didn't ask if I wanted a design or not. I was then sent to a station to get my acrylics but they forgot that I wanted them done so I had to remind them. When he placed the acrylic false nails on my tips they were put on crooked. He said he would file them down to fix them. Then as he began to paint them he didn't cover the whole nail. For instance the top coat you can see where it landed on my nail. Then when I had noticed a smudge he wouldn't fix it correctly I would have to pay 5$ more. Heck no! You have got to be kidding. Then they forgot I was getting my eyebrows done and that was the best experience of the whole place. Since they turned out just perfect. A total of 49$ and not going back maybe just for my eyebrows. This place was super clean and staff was very friendly!!! I got a Full Set today with the gel, only paid $30! And I didn't even mention that I was military because I was so happy with the price!The woman I had, Roes, was so wonderful! She didn't talk too much, but did ask me about my day and such. I'm sure once I get to know her, the conversation will open up. I saw and overheard many personal relationships between customer and employees. Great atmosphere. I'm also 7 months pregnant, and the "salon" smell wasn't overwhelming. Great ventilation in this facility! So price, atmosphere, employees, and quality were all on point for me!!!
