The entire situation was a little frustrating. I asked for short nails and she didn't cut any off. I asked again and she cut very little off. Then , I asked for rounded nails and was given squared. I brought it up to her attention and she started rounding some of them off. Some were rounded others were squared. I'm now going home to fix them myself. Read Less

Great service. They took their time and made me feel welcome. I got just a regular pedicure and they gave me the works as far as giving my tootsies a real good scrub and even the hot stones which you often pay more for! RUDE RUDE RUDE. Do yourself a favor and do not walk in without an appointment. They are nasty rude and unless you've prebooked won't even give you an option to wait, let alone help you.... Heard and read good things about this place and then I went in person. BIG NOPE  No place that is rude to potential clients will EVER get my $$ Seriously disappointed with these folks. Nowhere online does it say appointment only... Well it should!!!!! Too bad folks you lost at least 4 repeat customers in under 5 min. After a minimal issue I had during my first visit it was resolved graciously by the owner, Cong. Him and his wife have owned the business for 15 years and it shows! He was so kind to fix the problem and not guilt trip me along the way. As a customer sometimes your worried to bring up a dissatisfaction you have with the service, but Cong reassured me that everything was ok! He is a very nice man and we talked a lot during my visit. It's such a refreshing feeling knowing that a business cares about it's customers. The shop is small and quaint, not to busy so you don't feel like cattle. My nails look fantastic! Staff is pleasant and professional. I have had acrylics, gels and regular manicures and they never fail to do the job right. Good selection of polish too. Hard to get in sometimes because it is such a small business, but it is worth a reservation or wait. Read Less

First off, my review has absolutely nothing to do with the customer service at this place. The nail technicians here were all friendly and kind, and they did a great job of handling my niece's (age 5) first kid manicure/pedicure. (Which is no small feat.) We came in as a wedding party, and four of us were grabbing manicure/pedicure sets, with one being french tip and one being gel. The comments I am making were across the board. While other people here have mentioned "everything is clean", I saw all the tubs being cleaned after the previous group, and it definitely wasn't up to par for cleaning out a motorized tub. Additionally, there wasn't any option to purchase a set of my own tools for the manicure/pedicure, and the sterilization sprays/cleaners were in the public bathroom. I wouldn't say I would necessarily trust that level of cleanliness. My mother (who is diabetic) decided not to do a manicure after seeing this.They were nice enough to do a third coat of polish to reach opacity for me, but they should have never tried to stop at two coats. The application was clearly not opaque, and my cuticles were a mess. The filing of all my nails was completely uneven, and I had asked for rounded squares and just ended up with rounded nails. I have to cut them some slack because I had an older technician, and they did a better job with painting my sister's french tips, but her nail shape and cuticles were still not up to par. The ladies here were friendly, and I would say it's a good place to bring along the kids, but don't expect a great manicure here. I usually am city-hopping between SF and Portland when I get my nails done, so my standards are set pretty high. This place would do in a pinch. Read Less

This place is amazing. its quiet, its relaxing no loud noises no tvs which is actually a great thing!!! The lady who did my massage IS AMAZING! HANDS OF AN ANGEL I SWEAR!!! it was an actual foot massage too!!! not just the usual "rubbed ur calve with oily lotion" type of massage it was an actual the heel the arch the toes ooooooh the tooooes lol sounds crazy i know but thats how good it was!!!!!!! ugh! this is my new ONLY place! and beautiful colors too! not just red and nude -_- tired of reds & nudes I WANT COLORS!!!  :) Anywho point is this was just amazing. I love nail effecx. My nails always look great and they remembered me the second time I went there. And the pedicures are long and relaxing, you never feel rushed. My clients wait to see what design and colors she will use next.
