VERY strong chemical smell, hard to breathe. My mom & I went in for a traditional manicure. They didn't do any lotion or give a hand or arm massage. They were very sweet & nice people. If I wanted to get my nails painted I could have done it myself for free or $5 & get a new color rather than $20. Plus there were several unpainted areas on my nails on multiple fingers. They definitely prioritized customers getting acrylics or gel manicures so if that's your thing, go for it. Read Less

There was a lack of communication that was beyond explanation. Be carful because when you call for a price it will change when you sit down and already start to get your nails done. Be sure to not ask any questions for if you do they will come at you like a pack of wolves. Read Less

Norma did a fantastic job fixing the thick, fake - looking dip set I had put on somewhere else (that shall remain nameless). I showed her a picture from Pinterest, and she worked with me to find the perfect matching colors and sparkles, after skillfully shaping my original square shape to a nice stiletto. I went to get a pedicure last summer and just randomly picked this place as it was convenient. My toes were beautiful. I went back for another pedicure and was asked if I also wanted a manicure? I work in a kitchen and I told her that. She suggested a gel manicure, it won't chip. Anna was right!! I've been going every month now. My boyfriend and I came in and got pedicures, he enjoyed it so much he fell asleep! By far the best pedicure I have ever had. I don't know her name but she was very sweet and put a lot of time and art into a flower, I left the creativity up to her and she blew it out of the water! Definitely recommend! Read Less

I had a very poor experience here! They were nice & all & told me to wait 15 minutes so I did, then one of the lady's finally took me back with her & had me sit while she was preparing everything when all of a sudden she sees 3 clients come in 1 with appointment & the other 2 without an appointment & then asked me if I could wait 15 minutes again, so I did but those 15 minutes ended up being 1 hour of waiting & they sent me back to the waiting area. They didn't apologize or even say that they would offer me a little discount for the waiting of 1 hour & a half! That's not great customer service. Never coming back again! Read Less

Came here because I was in a rush. Salon is not organized/professional. I don't like that they don't use the plastic linings in their  pedicure tubs. The equipment they use do not look sterile which grossed me out. However, the nail techs were actually pretty welcoming unlike other salons here in the skagit area, they actually acknowledged you when you walk in. Also they make sure your nails look good unlike others where they rush because it's getting too busy. Business would be good with a few adjustments. Read Less

Just got a pedicure at MV Nails. Seriously how this place gets 5 stars is completely beyond me! First of all I'm not sure if this place is a nail salon or a swap meet! Its bizarre. Anyways, the girl was REALLY RUFF and clipped the cuticle down too much. Believe me it hurt!! Then she tried to act like it was just me being over sensitive. I DON'T THINK SO! You feel when live skin is being clipped from your body as opposed to dead skin. The products they use are disgusting and I'm scared that my jeans are going to get stained from all the oil they use. The experience was nerve racking and painful and the establishment looked cheap, cluttered and disorganized Don't go!!! In fact the only reason I'm giving it two stars is because they gave me a free pair of disposable flip flops since I forgot my sandals. Read Less

I LOVE Abby, she's sweet and always makes my nail ideas even cooler. Great little shop. Right next to the flint store. I've always gotten shellac nails there, for $25 including a manicure and a hand scrub. Fantastic spot! I've tried others in Mount Vernon but these girls are the best! Read Less

Love this place. Was looking for a new nail salon when I moved to Mount Vernon. Tried multiple places with horrible experiences at every one then stumbled apon MV Nails. So happy I did because they pay such close attention to details and my nails always last a long time. The staff are always friendly and the place is clean. An all around great atmosphere. Read Less
