I asked for just a shellac polish change, no manicure (I had just got one a week before). I was lectured about why I needed the manicure throughout the visit. I was charged extra for cutting my nails before painting (maybe this is somewhat normal, but I’ve never had to pay for it). After she cut one too short on the side was told it was my nail’s fault. Got a pedicure with shellac, and it was all very lack luster. The polish doesn't cover my whole nails and it's already raising up on an edge and it hasn't even been a whole day. Plus I left with cuticles sliced and bleeding. Not fun. Read Less

Never going to recommend this place to any one. This is the third time I'm coming to this place. First couple of times the quality of the nail polish was good. Third time I'm coming in to relax on my day off and pamper my self. After I was done, I look at my nails four hour later and the nail polish is no where near to being dry. Cheap nail polish is what happened. I come back and discuss this with Thu. She tells me that it's basically my fault and that I should have not been touching it. I'm a grown woman, not the first time in my life doing nails, I think I know what not to do. So basically she accused me of coming back to redo my nails for free. Then she started to scream at me in front of two other customers. I had enough and decided to leave. As I was leaving the salon she grabs me hard by my arm and shouts and tells me to choose a nail polish she wanted me to have. The worst customer service experience of my life ever. Continue to come back mainly due to convenience. The owner (I think) is very friendly, but gets distracted quite often. There are often times when I go after work and there is not a soul in sight and it will still take over 20 minutes just to get a basic eye brow waxing. This place is amazing! I have overlay and shellac. I've been to a few places on the island and they just don't compare! My nails always look great here ( not to thin, not too thick) and never break! I just moved to the Island and in a search for a new nail place, so I thought I will give them a try. Well, it was not crowded and they took me right away. (that could have been a bad sign that place was not busy) The girl that did my pedicure seems very young and probably not experienced. At the end, I was not happy with the work they did. I feel like I could've done a better job myself. All nails are different shape and length. Really? Also, they are not running the jets in a foot spa,they just fill it with water, add a teaspoon of blue colored sea salt and let your feet soak there. Wierd... Manicure girl could have done a better job too. She didn't polish the edges of the nails, they felt rough and uneven. She didn't do that much to remove the cuticle as well. They charge $38 for Mani - Pedi combo. I'm not coming back and don't recommend to anyone. I've been to many different nail salons and this place by far does the best quality job with a shellac manicure that actually lasts a really long time and doesn't chip like other cheap places. The price is worth the nice quality and experience since they've been there for years, so they know what they're doing when it comes to beauty treatments. The staff is shy but very friendly and definitely does NOT deserve the low stars that stuck up Yelp reviewers have given them in the past. I discovered this salon about a year and a half ago.I think they give you the best pedicure in town!! It's a small shop they take their time and you never feel rushed. I've recommend this place to several friends and I've had positive feedback from all of them. My gel never peels or cracks in the two weeks I have it on and they have so many colors in their gel collection that you can choose from! And they continue to get to colors so they can be ready for whatever color trend is coming next. They are extremely clean as well. I was a little leery about going here for the first time given the mixed reviews but I thought they did a great job!  I've had way worse pedicures for a lot more money.  The staff was very friendly and I thought they did an excellent job on all of it - very nice massage, evenly trimmed nails and nice, neat color.  Considering that I just got back from camping, they had a little work to do but my feet look great now!  haha  The salon was very clean and they got me right in on my lunch break.  I'll definitely be going back! I try to have compassion for businesses despite a terrible experience whether it be service, product, whatever. I generally just let it roll off my back and don't even feel the need to review. But I've never been so angry and disappointed with such an establishment who failed to deliver! This was by far the worst experience ever!! The set of nails I showed her didn't even come close to the final product. I wanted ballerina style nails. Instead, it came out in different shapes on each finger nail. She filed against my skin MULTIPLE times! MULTIPLE! Leaving a slight cut on my cuticle. The polish turned out blotchy. The fullset acrylic I had gotten turned out to be the exact length as my natural nails. If that were the case, I wouldn't have gotten acrylics and do my own nails. Which would have far exceeded this nightmare! It would be too detrimental on my nails to reverse such a train wreck now. Otherwise I'd demand a removal!! Read Less

I came here for a pedicure and saw they had 5 clients with 2 people working. When I asked if they had time for a pedicure (and they said yes) I thought there must be a third person working somewhere. Nope. They decided to do 6 (and eventually 7) clients at once. The pedicure itself gets a solid okay. I didn't care for the lotion they used on the massage as it left my legs kind of sticky which grossed me out. They did a nice job on the nail polish though. First try: really long wait (even with an appointment) and really rushed service/painfully brisk leg massage. Second try: odd experience with one woman hurriedly trying to do 4 pedicures and a nail gel customer at the same time; she was very (understandably) distracted, and my feet got cut several times when she wasn't watching the nail scissors closely. Third and final try: I arrive at 4:45, there's a single customer in the shop waiting for her nails to dry, and I'm told "I'm busy today, come back tomorrow?" (They close at 6).Never again. Been going to Thu for over 10 years. I have acrylics and get a fill. Sometimes a pedi. Almost always on time for appointments. Great job, manicure lasts for at least 3 weeks although I should be going in more often. Prices are very reasonable.Staff at every salon asks if you want upsell services. No problem if you don't. Have you ever been to a hair salon where they DON'T try to sell you product?Parking is easy. Place is clean and bright. Easy in and out.Definitely recommend. Read Less

Horrid.  Unfortunately I live close so this is one of the only places around. I have been getting 1-2wk fills on acrylics for 20 years now.    I've been there maybe a dozen times and I swear the owner (assume that's who she is) takes pleasure in "accidentally" drilling your skin next to you nails.  I typically get a fill and not only do they do the usual push for more business on top of what you are in for ( you want pedi too?  You want design?) they charge top dollar for a replacement nail or a french.  They also say ya, one minute and you typically wait at least 10 or 15.  Bottom line though, I'm looking down at my nails and the sides of the skin next to the nail is chewed up.  Part of doing nails is to relax and to feel pain and be scared she will hit skin every time is just not fun....btw, atmosphere and cleanliness is yet another thing all together.... Gosh, I really wish I could give Thuy and her fellow employees more stars. I like them, really I do. And I live so close by. But...- If you have an appointment, you might have to wait because they never say "no" to any walk-in, which means they may get slammed and your appointment time goes out the window.- If you walk-in, they'll always take you. But that may mean they work on one nail, run to another customer, then come back to you, and then go away again. You get the picture. Frankly, it's never relaxing here.- Shortcuts, shortcuts, shortcuts. The manicures are not really detailed and sometimes downright sloppy. If they're in a rush, they'll cut the time short including basic hygiene stuff.- They take plastic, but get grumpy when you use it. Ladies, if you take it - take it. If you don't want to pay the fees, then just state you are a cash only business.- Lastly, I love hearing them speak in Vietnamese. But interacting with customers once in a while would be nice. They are all very nice, good prices, and they do a great job, I have never had them cut my cuticles so short they bleed (which has happened at Cindy's) and they do a great Shellac! I don't know. I think I'm spoiled in Chicago. I was in town on business and was heading to the airport but realized I actually had an hour to spare so when I passed Queen Nails I decided to drop in. After all in Chicago I am typically in and out within an hour for a Mani and Pedi and I only needed my toes done on this particular occasion.There were only two gals working when I arrived and they were finishing up with their customers so I soaked while I waited and caught up on the very important deets of the TomKat divorce.  Their polish selection was rather grim - no Essie and an assortment of OPI colors but none of the collection favorites.Once things got started it was a down hill ride headed straight toward pedicure disaster.  The girls were nice enough but as more people came in rather than tell them to come back they'd seat them in the chairs and proceeded to bounce from person to person administering a scrub here, a half assed massage there. At one point my right food was rubbed rather weakly and then left propped up while my lady went to paint someone else's toes before returning to me to rub the other foot.  And as if that wasn't disconcerting enough, they only used one coat of polish.  It was hard to relax because I had to keep checking my phone for the time.  It took 50 minutes for a pedicure that could have been completed in almost half the time.It was only 20 bucks so I guess you get what you pay for in this instance.  It appears they are under new ownership now and have changed the name to Envy Nails as well.  When I got home to Chicago I removed the polish immediately and repainted them myself - the sure sign of a pedicure gone terribly wrong.  Someone mentioned a Groupon while I was there - good luck my Groupon purchasing friends.  May your experience be better than mine...by a lot.
