I went to get my eyebrows done here and they put me in a back room with washer/dryer. I had to stand back there since there personal stuff was on chair and table. I just call a day ahead.Carol is a first class act that managesher technicians incredibly well. I have made appointments with Cathy for three years. I used to love coming here for pedicures. I don't live in the area anymore - the last pedi I had at Nail Palace was a year and a half ago, but I was visiting my mother and we decided to go on a whim. I didn't recognize any of the techs, but got right in on a Monday afternoon. Unfortunately, the gal who was available was rude, harsh, and very quick. She barked at me, spent about two minutes on each procedure and asked me in a disgusted tone, "are you sure you want this color? It doesn't look like anything!" I was actually shocked. I assured her it was, thank you. I am an innkeeper and know that it is exceptional service that can make all the difference. Maybe something will change to make them understand this? Service is always great and the ladies here are super friendly. Mani/pedi are done exceptionally and hot stones are given with the all the pedi services. How nice! Prices are great and not too pricey. Came with some girlfriends for a wedding party and our nails turned out great. Would not even give 1 star. Have never had my nails hurt so bad while getting a new set and after getting a new set. The gal was so rude then expected a tip. Every nail hurts and my new more expensive pink French tips look like crap. Going elsewhere to get them painted over. Tried to stay local in Liberty Lake but won't make that mistake again! Read Less

As a previous salon owner I have been in search of a professional, clean, friendly salon. Carol's Nail Palace has been my choice for many years. Staff is always friendly, they practice good heigene and I am always treated with respect. The technicians are very knowledgeable. If I could give a zero stars I would. I had been previously and had a good experience but clearly they've changed.We didn't have appointments and were walk-ins, they acted like they could fit us in but took 20 minutes just to get to us. I wanted acrylics and was the first of my party to be helped. Which meant I was also the first of my party to be tortured. The tech was rude and made snide remarks to me; asking if I had ever had nails before because I pulled away when she filed the skin on the tips of fingers instead of my nails and when I mentioned that I wasn't used to the tips of my fingers getting filed she told me it was my fault because I wanted short nails. Yes, blame the customer, that is a great business tactic. In addition to cuts on the tips of my fingers from her filing, the nails are not straight and are at an angle but I couldn't handle anymore filing so I didn't as for her to fix them. I was also surprised that she didn't push back, cut, or oil my cuticles.One of the others in my party got a pedicure and the tech literally used a cheese grater, like a for real from the store grater for food, on her foot and didn't stop when she asked as it hurt her. Her foot now very much hurts and she's having a hard time walking. The other in our group was not interested in more waiting and didn't get her nails done. If you ask me, she is the lucky one. Worst acrylic removal and "manicure" ever! I SCREAMED OW!!! 4 times. Ten second massage, HORRIBLE polish job. Gal got angry when I pointed out a bubble. "Not a bubble. DIRT!" Really? Came here for pedi. Was ok. Not very friendly and was treated like an inconvenience. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again. Full set this time. Again not very friendly and felt like an inconvenience. And nails were horrible. The tip color was painted over the base so you could see some brush strokes and it wasnt even. Very tacky looking. I just moved to Liberty lake and finally found my go to nail place! I was scared to try out this place due to many other bad experiences but turns out I was wrong! I love the environment, it's very clean and friendly! The service is also great, they are very gentle with my nails and make sure I feel comfortable! All the ladies in the shop are very sweet! The best part yet is when I went, they were having a %30 off winter deal for your entire service! And OMG let me talk about the pedicure... They included the hot stone massage for free! I left feeling that my customer service was less than par or deserved for the paid price of $45 for a simple mani and pedi. I recommend if you are choosing to have your nails done here that you make a reservation. As a walk in I was moved three times from my original spot to accommodate others that were coming in. I would also give a word of caution that you must be a mind reader to know they do not accept credit cards.... Of any kind. But you can use the ATM and be charged the nominal fee or buy something at the store for cash back...as recommended by the shops owner. They don't take cards. Of course they don't tell you that until you're done so you have to run to the bank to get cash off your credit card. They kept running in and out to their cars, bathrooms, storage rooms etc and the. Would just start touching you without washing. Too busy talking to each other to pay attention to their customers. The amount they left on my finger tips is so thick it's causing my skin to crack and so she tried to sand it off using a sanding burr so now my fingers are all inflamed and I have my wedding tomorrow. Walked in for a manicure and pedicure. When I asked how long the wait would be the woman replied "no time at all". I heard a laugh from a woman in one of the 6 occupied pedicure chairs.... There were only 3 nail technicians working. I then went to the polish selection and was thoroughly disappointed. Never have I seen such a lame selection of browns blues oranges and sparkles.... I have been to this salon 4 times and my last visit was a total disaster.  I needed to have the gels removed and just get a regular mani which seemed to upset Sue that I did not want gels again. She challenged me about that along with the color of polish I wanted.  In removing the gels she was extremely rough and it did hurt, she seemed angry with me.  In the four visits that I did have, the woman at the station by the door is rude, honestly everyone there is rude so I finally went to OMG nails on Sullivan and what a difference in how they treat their customers.  I was treated with total respect coming from just very nice professional employees.  That is what was lacking at the Nail Palace....respect.  I will never go back, I gave them 4 chances to just be professional and they could not pull it off. 1 star is generous as far as I am concerned. I was iffy to try this place because of the reviews on here but quite honestly I am not sure why there are such reviews. I have been here several times now. Probably around 5x. The usual I get is pedicures and gel manicure. It has been a lovely experience thus far with everyone that has worked on my nails. I have found everyone to be very friendly and sweet. And best of all and most important they do a great job!! My gel ALWAYS last a good 3-4 weeks! And that says a lot for a mother of two who is constantly washing hands, doing house chores etc.  I also find their pricing to be very fair and comparable to other valley nail places. Yes it's true only cash or check which can be a little bit of inconvenience but because of their great work and friendliness I am okay with and will continue to go here. Last of all, one time we went in with my sister in law and our 4 nieces. It was close to them closing and we called in prior to ensure they would still take us and they gracefully did! One star is generous. I took my 7 year old daughter and her friends here for a spa party. What a joke! They made the young girls sit in the waiting room chairs instead of the nice pedicure chairs. I don't know about you, but when it comes to a birthday party with 7 year old girls, you don't want the people you hired to paint their toes snapping at them and making them feel less than welcome. Walked in for a repair  I had awesome nails but had been out of town and could not schedule with regular nail tech...OMG only  one nail was lost and I needed a new one but..without a word CAROLtook the nail cutters and grabbed a hold of each nail still glued on and cut them TOREeach of my nails off cutting the edge of each and then twisting the nail until it tore lose of the nail bed...VERY PAINFUL...she had no color to offer other than a pale nude pinky color....went back in to my reg tech..she said that that was an old Asian trick..so I got a whole new set of not needed nails for 45.00 with a lousy rude nail tech...what was worse...I was getting ready to write a ck and she grabbed a hold of my checkbook and riffled thru the checks telling me I had miss a ck...in the meantime quizzing me as to whether I was writing a bad ck or was that really my checkbook or my  account..etc etc Read Less

I've always had a good experience whenever I've been here. I got Sue my first time here, and she did a great job, so I've continued to book my appointments with her. She pays great attention to detail and makes sure I leave happy every time. She makes light conversation but not too much. A manicure is $12, a pedicure is $20. A combination of the 2 is $30.
