She has a fantastic selection of CND shellac colors and also has the SNS dip powder which I used during my pregnancy.  They always make sure my nails look perfect before I leave.  She will even special order colors if needed! Whilst new to Yelp, I am fair and have to say my second visit here compelled me to sign up and review this salon. The first time I visited, I left with Shellac that was uneven and bubbling. Not having the time to stay for them to correct it, I was invited back to try a different color. I returned today - and now have as much Shellac on my skin as I do on my nails, unfinished edges, bubbling and a hair Shellac'd to my nail. When I get my nails done, it is a treat. For me, this isn't something I do every few weeks, so when I do go, I expect it to be somewhat enjoyable. I have gone to top ten nails several times over the past few years and usually they do a decent job. A couple weeks ago I went for the last time. I came for a shellac manicure and pedicure, and when I walked in I reiterated that if they didn't have time, I will come back. But of course, they said "pick a color." There are only ever two ladies working in here, the owner and one other nice quiet lady. The owner did my pedicure first, no scrubbing or taking off dead skin AT ALL. She was distracted the whole time because she had appts coming in left and right, and a couple people she was trying to accommodate WITHOUT appts. She completed my pedicure with two appts in chairs waiting for her, so I was hoping she would start them and I could wait (or leave,) but nope, she proceeded to do my whole shellac manicure in about 7 minutes. The whole process was less than 25 minutes (for mani AND pedi,) so needless to say it was not relaxing and didn't turn out great. I paid my $57 and will not be back. :/ Read Less

They got my friend and I in for deluxe pedicures without an appointment.  The seats were comfy and the atmosphere was nice.  It appeared most of the customers were regulars which I took as a good sign.  I was really happy with the service except the nail polish application at the end.  I got a light color which took several layers before it looked good.  Instead of allowing each coat of nail polish to dry a little bit, she applied each coat immediately on top of the next (I think a total of 4 coats) and it took forever to dry, even after sitting under the dryer and applying the quick-dry spray.  Luckily my friend was still getting her pedicure and we had time to wait, but I still had to touch up two of my toenails after I got home because they smudged when I put my flip flops on 30 minutes after finishing. Julie has been doing my nails for many years. She does an amazing job! Her fills last about 3 weeks and I never have a nail break. She does awesome pedicures too. Vivian is an expert with eyebrows! I have followed Julie from salon to salon for the last 20 years and this is by far the best place she's been at. The salon is extremely clean because Vivian the owner is always cleaning if she's not working on a customer. I have never once had an issue with my acrylic nails and my cuticles always get pushed back. My pedicures have always been wonderful with no pain issues and the polish lasts (including French) even walking in sand. They are a wonderful place and everyone is always very friendly. Read Less

Julie has been doing my nails for about 5 years and does a great job.  They last about 1 month and sometimes a little longer.  The shop is clean - Vivian spends a lot of time mopping the floors and cleaning. Prices are good.  Nails are beautiful !  What more can one ask for !  When I get a pedicure, the chairs are very comfortable to relax in, but the important thing is they do a good job and it lasts.  Thank you Julie ! Top Ten Nails is a great and inexpensive nail salon right in downtown Kirkland. I am confused why they have such poor reviews on Yelp since every time I go there, I have had a great experience. It's true that the ladies don't speak very good English, but they have always been very polite and very thorough in their work. I always get the French Shellac manicure and pedicure, as well as have my brows shaped. Vivian, Julie, Lina have all worked on my nails before - they work really hard and I have not found another better-priced salon right in downtown Kirkland. I recommend new customers to try it out and judge for yourself, I've had crap experience in the other nail salons in Kirkland and paid more! The nail work at Top Ten is good, the massage is nice and not rushed, they do your mani and pedi at the same time so it feels very pampering, I always feel well-treated and relaxed after a visit and often laugh a lot because the ladies are so nice if you chat them up. I believe the Yelp reviews here are old and outdated, and think this is a small and honest business that works really hard to survive the high rents in Kirkland and they're not as Internet-savvy to update the Yelp pages. Oh and there's free parking up and down the street as well as across up the hill, instead of the paid parking by the other nail salons which is a major plus for me. More like Worst Ten Nails. They embody everything you hate about a nail salon. My friend and I went in for a mani and she a pedi. They stabbed her toe(which bled), trimmed our nails at an angel, overflowed the tub which poured all over the salon, gave us dirty looks, and most of all didn't give any care at all about their customers. My friends and I had no idea that they were closing yet Vivian (all by herself) gave my two friends and I the best pedicure, and stayed almost two hours after closing. Ouch! Lady stabbed my toe with her instrument which is now infected. I yelped in pain and she gave me a strange look. I was happy to get in right away but won't be going back. My toenail had been caught on something and came  off and it was growing back in. There was no sensitivity to it, just prodding and picking. Read Less

I have gone there for a few months. After going to several places I was shopping for a place that I could trust and call my home. Yesterday I went in for a fill. It had been 2 weeks and two of my nails had lifted at the cuticle. The listed price is $18 for a fill. I was asked to pay before my polish so as to not mess up the application. I presented a $25 gift certificate. She took the entire thing. I noticed the menus later and asked why I was charged $20? She said 2 of my nails were broken. This was not true. And she kept $5 as a tip. My friend was also over charged. Her fill which should have been $18 was also handled the same way. My suggestion- ask before they touch you how much. Have $1 bills and don't let them tack on extra costs! Very shadey. If every lifted nail is $1, an $18 fill could be $30 which is more than a Full set. BEWARE AND BE PREPARED. Finding a great nail salon that doesn't charge an arm & a leg is hard enough, but now I have found one AND it's in downtown Kirkland!  They have CND Shellac, take their time and do an excellent job with the shape.  Julie, tried something new and it turned out great - dark purple with grey tips french manicure.  Also, the owner made sure to let me know they DON'T CHARGE EXTRA for Shellac removal! #WORTHIT ! I've had acrylic nails over the course of a few years, and when having then done they always cut/pushed back,or fixed my cuticles.. To complement the nails of course.  This was the first and only place where they did nothing, not even help me out in cutting a big hang nail.. SO now on the back of my nail there is a small ridge too. I do like the color. Great place for a walk in pedicure. Tu has given me two so far and I will be going back for sure.  This little salon is clean and the massaging pedicure chairs are worth the price of the $23 pedicure themselves!!  Tu spends a good 40 minutes each time I have gone.  The salon has lots of polishes to choose from if you want ( I bring my own) .  The hours are great they are open every day and are often there til 7 or 8 pm.  Plenty of parking in the lot just west of them.  My toes always look great and the pedi lasts a good week and a half! I know not to expect too much from these nail salons, but I do expect not to be injured! I have been there a few times now and have had decent experiences. Today, I had a pedicure done by a woman that I've never had before. She was in a rush from the start and it was weird since there wasn't anyone else waiting. When cutting my cuticles, she snipped too much and I squeaked in half shock and pain. She looked at me, didn't apologize but began stroking my toe over the area where she cut. Not sure if she was trying to prevent the blood from showing or what, but it didn't hide the pain. I shrugged it off, but she continued to rush the treatment. After she painted, I sat there looking at my pretty toes and new cut! I'm kind of a germaphobe, so as soon as I got home I disinfected my cut. I have been going to Top Ten Nails since I moved here 5 years ago. They give the best pedicures around town! I go every two weeks to have a manicure/fill and they do a great job every time! They are clean and thorough and very reasonably priced!!! Treat yourself, its worth it. Debbie Read Less
