I give three stars only because the staff is so nice. They accommodated me thirty minutes before closing and gave me a fill as well as replacing a few nails. That was far past closing time. I take away two stars because I leave with polish all over my hands. I am heading straight to dinner and have no way of cleaning this polish off. i've been coming to this salon with my mom since i was little; grew up to recognize the women working here. i love it here and have never had problems until today. i grow out my natural nails to be rather long, like the length u see on the posters in the salon. so whenever i get my nails painted here, i always says to keep the length and have always hadjust slight filing done to help the shape, but no change to the length. today, the woman doing my nails after hearing my request said "cut just a little" so i let it be because i didnt think it'd be too bad. she cut off most of my nails' length. after filing and buffing, none of my nails looked the same. some were longer than others, some had pointy corners and some has slanted tops. it sucks that this one incident out of a lifetime of coming here has completely changed my attitude about ever coming back again. Really disappointed in the service here. The man doing my manicure cut me FIVE times, with one cut I had to elevate to stop the bleeding. He never said sorry or even acknowledged that he cut me.. Plainly put, I love coming here.  Tracy has a terrific memory in terms of what your nail preferences are, and what is in your best interests of your nails.  (thin nails will be paid attention to, and given nail hardener)  I also get french shellac manicures and I was so excited to be asked which kind of white I'd like this time.  White white, or natural white.  I have never been asked that before at similar style salons.  She did my manicure for my wedding, as well as my engagement photos, and I know that I can count on her for terrific service.  My four out of five possible stars was only removed because of a newer manicurist that I saw that did an excellent job on shaping, however didn't use as much shellac as I would like.  Other than that, all other service has been great, and any problem that I have had has been remedied.  :-) Read Less

I just got both my nails and toes done here. I had Gel on my fingernails and regular on toes with the spa pedicure. The spa pedicure comes with a nice hot towel and exfoliating massage. Yvonne did my fingernails and Han did my feet. Han did A good scrubbing with the pumice rectangle but thankfully not too hard. Yvonne was also very responsive about me wanting my fingernails shaped "ballerina slipper" shaped, or just tapered with a flat edge. The prices are a little pricey, but it is Kirkland prices in the whole shopping center it's in, if you know what I mean. This is a good place to go if you want to treat yourself. They are friendly but fast, so if you've got a busy schedule, they at least won't keep you here forever. Nails and toes were done at the same time. Read Less

Tracy has been doing my mom's and my eyebrows for close to a decade. She has never failed me and she always makes them look beautiful. I've always had a long-lasting, nice looking mani-pedi here, and the massage chairs are quite fabulous. I found this salon through Angie's List.  I thought they would have vetted their services better.  I came here for a mani/pedi.  The service was lousy.  The guy working on my feet took several phone calls during the service.  The woman working on my hands didn't soak them and my nails are quite ragged from the poor filing job.  The quality of the "better" polish is terrible - it's so thin, all the ridges of my nails are showing and it began chipping in less the four hours.  My biggest mistake was I should have asked for fresh tools,as they used what was laying around, but no one spoke English well enough to understand my questions.  Save your money and do it yourself. This was the worst pedicure/manicure I have ever had.  It's hard to decide where to begin because it was just that bad.  The "shaping" on both my toes and nails was awful.  My nails actually ended up jagged.  My friend's nails (she has naturally long nails) all ended up at wildly different lengths.  I don't even know how they managed that.  On top of that, the tops of the nails were visiblly rough.  Again, not sure how this happened.  Perhaps really agressive buffing on the top?  And to top it off, my manicure was chipping later that day and my toes a few days later.  I have never had this happen before.There was also zero massage other than briefly applying lotion.  It was so brief in fact that I left with visible streaks of lotion on my arms and legs because it was never rubbed in.Also, not sure if this is the standard, but after I got my pedicure, I got to observe the "cleaning" of the foot soaking area.  I use the word cleaning incredibly loosely.  The woman used hand soap on the towel my feet had been resting on to quickly wipe out the tub.  That's it.  If I had known this was how they "cleaned", I certainly would not have had a pedicure.Would never recommend this place to anyone. I have patronized this place for over ten years.  I was very pleased when Traci did my nails (pedicure) and then she did not seem interested so passed me off to her assistants, who turnover pretty often.  I have always made appointments and have always taken second, third, forth place to the "walk-ins".  While I was in no particular rush, I dealt with this as they did a good job.  About six months ago, Traci started adding $.50 to a credit card payment as she said she paid a ton of money for charges.  She never said anything.For the second time in about three years, I got an infection under one of my big toenails.......................I was told that it takes too much time to deal with this, so, I shaped and smoothed the nail myself.  I specifically informed Traci to tell the girl, who was doing my nails, NOT to touch it.  She as all the others, except Traci, do not speak English.  She took the clipper to it and it just disintegrated.  To top it off, all the girls were called over and nobody spoke a word of English, all the while giggling and whispering.  I was mortified as all the customers were staring at me.................I would continue to patronize this place, IF, it was, as it was, several years ago, but......................not happening.It really is not necessary to make an appointment here (which I always did), because the walk-ins have priority............... I just moved to the Kirkland area from Sammamish and thought I'd give this place a try, right close to work and home. However, it was the worst manicure I've had in a long time! As a walk in I was seated promptly but the girl kept getting up and walking away. The water was room temp, the shaping and nail care was awlful! I had to go to home and redo it. The lotion used smelled terrible and the hand/arm massage that I always look forward to was pathetic! After this experience I would rather drive out to Sammamish to my old salon to get my nails done, convenience isn't worth the bad service! Read Less

Went here for the first time today and was very pleased.  Clean, detailed and I got a very good mani for a change.  She really took the time to address the cuticles and that means a lot to me.  More reasonably priced than the salons I have gone to in Texas. Read Less

I just simply love this place.Everything is so clean, equipment is up to date and service is great.  No rushy attitude and always make sure they did a great job before letting you go.Plenty of parking and right next to Metropolitan Market, you can't beat this location.Price is higer than i usually pay for nail service, but you get what you pay for.  I got compliment for my nail color, the polish stays perfectly for so long.  There are even a few customers driving from Seattle to get their nails done there! Tracy owns this nail salon and does beautiful work! I've been seeing her for years, and the service is always great. She is friendly, and listens to the needs of her customers.
