The place was ok. The ladies were helpful, but treatment and service could have been a lot better. I've been coming to these ladies for years even when they were in kingsgate. I drive from everett after we moved because they are the best. With that said the owners are the only ladies I allow to touch my nails! They listen and always pay attention to the details.  Whether its a ped/mani shellac or acrylic/gell set you will not be disappointed!  Note: i dont care about the time it takes or the conversation or the massage, I just want my nails to look perfect when I leave and thats what I get. I came here to get a pedicure and boy do I regret it! I'm not sure on how well they sterilize their equipment, but the lady that worked with me punctured me REALLY bad underneath my toe nail! I don't think she understood me the first time I told her, but then she did it again and I asked her why she was being so rough, she didn't even apologized to me the only thing she said was " all my clients like it when I go deep". I ware close shoes all the time and my nails are never that dirty to say that she needed to go super hard. Right now my toe is super swollen and red and it hurst so much, specially when I walk. First time I came in here was about three weeks ago with my boyfriend I got a full set and a pedicure and and he got a manicure. The wait was long they only had two customers when we arrived but we still ended up waiting for about 30 minutes before I was seen and then he ended up waiting about an hour before he was able to be seen for a simple manicure. Manicure pedicure and a full set ended up costing us $85. Which was way too much for this shabby place. So far I've seen three employees who work in the shop but on that specific day only 2 were there and I ended up working with the employee who has the third seat when you first walk in. She did not do a good job on my pedicure she barely touched the bottom of my feet or got any of the dead skin off of my feet. I understand there's new health laws around not using the metal tools to take off dead skin but there are such things as a pumice stone or an alternative to take off dead skin. When people come to get a pedicure they expect for their feet to be smooth afterwards my feet felt the same it just looks like my nails were painted and my feet were soaked. There's no massage that comes with the basic pedicure they do not offer any drinks or beverages and the water cooler that is in the facility is pumping out warm water which has not been fixed.The woman who did my pedicure also did my full set she did take her time and ended up staying after closing to finish my full set she was pretty good at laying acrylic and the nails stayed on for a full two weeks. I did get just a basic paint job with one off colored finger and it did not cost me extra for that. I did leave her a tip but maybe it was not as big as she expected. I did not leave her a 10% tip because I didn't feel she did a 10% tip job especially when it came to my pedicure. I didn't even get lotion put on my feet after my pedicure was done so I ended up leaving with ashy feet.  When I left I took one of the business cards which also has a point system on it with a punch your card when you visit them each time it also goes per person if there's 2 people or punch your car twice because it's like having two visits on your 8th or 10th visit I believe you receive $5 off of what you're going in for.I decided to give this place a second chance to go back 2 weeks later for my fill and when I went there I was under the influence that the fill was $15 which is this standard for any nail salon to charge 15 or$12 for a fill here she said she was charging $18 and this wasn't told to me until it became time to pay for the job that she done. This time when I received my fill it was from the owner whom sits in the first or the second seat when you walk in she is kind of rude and doesn't care much for small talk she is also the one who did my boyfriend's manicure he said she did a really good job so I didn't mind her doing my fill. When she did my fill I felt like she was kind of half-assing  The woman who did my nails and pedicure last time I was working on another client. This time when I came in I only waited for about 10 minutes before being seen and there are about 4 people here this time with 3 people working. I noticed the water cooler was not fix the water was still warm and they still did not offer any beverages. Is definitely a difference of how they treat a returning customers then they treat their new customers.My pedicure for the second time was done by a different woman who practiced the same standards as the first time I got it done here. She half-assed my pedicure again not getting the dead skin off my feet. It got to the point where I pointed it out to her and she just said okay okay and did not take the dead skin off my feet. She did my pedicure and walked away and the other woman came in to finish it and finished painting my nails on my feet she and the other women was talking negatively in her native language and I can tell that she was upset. I don't know if she was upset that I pointed it out to her that she was not doing a good job or she just did not want to do her job at all and wanted to leave early because it seems like that's what she was asking her boss. It came time for me to have my nails polish for my fill.  My nails got polished while I was getting my pedicure and I asked for a simple gradient design which is dark Fading Into light and she could not do that. I showed her several pictures, even a YouTube video on how to do it and she still refused to do it. I'm absolutely appalled that a Vietnamese nail salon does not know how to do simple basic designs. The treatment from the employment and the shortcuts around my pedicure and the sneaky prices that they slip in at the last moment while you're paying is uncalled for, I won't be returning. Read Less

I wanted to get my nails done for my engagement photos, so I purchased a groupon for this salon. I called for an appointment as suggested by the groupon, and requested a shellac French manicure. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately by the lady at the front counter and my appointment was acknowledged. My manicurist was a man, which was a first for me in my manicure experience. I keep my nails short because long fingernails are uncomfortable, in my opinion. It seems like most salons disagree and love long fingernails, and they all seem to tell me that I should keep my nails long. Well, I don't like to keep my fingernails long, so that's why they are kept short. It also seems like at most salons, they prefer a curved French manicure but I prefer straight. Whenever I request that my French manicure be straight, they remark that they like curved and reluctantly give me what I asked for: straight. Same thing at this salon. My manicurist didn't make much conversation with me, but there was a TV on, so I watched that while he did my nails. It hurt quite a few times when he was painting my nails because he dug his own nail into my finger between my fingertip and my nail bed to get a better grip. I quietly endured it, hoping it would end quickly. I understand that short nails aren't as easy to deal with for this reason, but my nails weren't so short that there was no white part!The shellac French manicure looked good and served its purpose for my engagement photos. It lasted about two weeks before it started to peel at the edges. The lady at the front counter honored my groupon and charged me for the remainder of the manicure price ($9, I think). I tipped because it was a good experience and a good job. Overall, I'm satisfied! It would have been better if the manicurist didn't dig his fingernail into my finger between the fingertip and the nail bed. Other than that, it was good! Read Less

Ideally I'd give 3.5 stars. Came here recently with my daughter for a mani-pedi, armed with Groupons (so it was a great deal). Here's the low-down on all the positive aspects of our experience:-super clean venue and great ventilation. No aroma of acetone or any other chemicals at all. -lots of light. Bright open space.-TONS and TONS of polish selections, more than I've seen in ANY salon, ever (and I've been to many!). And top name polishes, too (OPI, Essy, Daisy). -we were seen promptly, the time of our appointment (much appreciated! Granted, it helps to book the first appointment of the day....!). -the techs who did our mani-pedi's were efficient and somewhat pleasant (quiet, but not un-friendly). -I opted to get an acrylic fill in addition to the mani-pedi. I liked the warm air drying machines for hands and feet stationed at the window. They did a great job in drying my nail polish and the warm air felt wonderful. (I've only experienced cold fan air machines elsewhere).-the overall quality of the mani and pedi was pretty darn good.The negatives?-the pedi was quick. Like, super quick. Yes, the tech was efficient, but I've never had such a fast pedicure (less than 30 minutes, including at least 10 minutes of soaking time). The foot and calf massage was perfunctory at best, lasting about 2-3 minutes total (and this is my favorite part of a pedicure, too). I was disappointed. The debrading of callouses (which usually tickles the hell out of me!) was also super-quick. The majority of time was spent soaking and tending to cuticle repair and the polish application. -I was struck with the inconsistencies between my kid's manicure and mine. Primarily, she got a hand/arm massage and I did not. Granted, she said it was a "quickie", but at least she got one. I did not, and I was disappointed. Again, this is usually my favorite part of a manicure. Again, the quality of work on our toenails and fingernails was quite good, and my daughter and I are very happy with how our nails all turned out. The experience here was good, but it wasn't the relaxing one we had anticipated. I'd probably return for a polish change, or a fill, but not for a pedi or mani due to the lack of a decent massage (or any at all). Read Less

I really like this place.  I had purchased a Groupon and came in for a mani/pedi.  They were friendly and clean and the gentleman that did my service did a great job.  My toes look fantastic and my fingernails NEVER last more than a few days (with regular polish) but it's been 3 days now and they still look perfect. Such a great little shop I came across and it's literally just around the corner from me! Very easy to find, the storefront faces 124th Ave NE and parking was a cinch. I was a walk-in and I was greeted right away and asked to find a nail polish color. They got a pedicure seat ready for me and I soaked my feet for maybe about 10 minutes until someone was free to help me next. The massaging chair is always so nice and they had a TV on to help pass the time, too. The woman who did my pedi was very efficient, quick and did share in a bit of small talk. She was gentle but slightly firm with my toes and feet which I appreciated. The classic pedi included the soak, a calf scrub, massage and also a hot towel draped over my feet. The polish part was quick and the end product was great. For $25, a clean shop and nice people, I will continue to come here in the future definitely. Read Less

I went here for a mani pedi a few weeks ago.  I found a coupon on yellow pages for a mani/pedi for only $25 so if you are going to go I'd get the coupon first.  Otherwise they are only $34 which is still good.  They had a great selection of OPI polish, nice massage chairs, and the staff was beyond nice.  They check in with you regularly throughout the process to make sure you like what they are doing.  They also do an exfoliation treatment and very long massages with their regular pedicures.  This is definitely my new spot! Long time customer until I kept getting burned, had a finger cut open and made to wait on multiple occasions for 45+ minutes despite having an appointment. Expensive and those loyal get treated like first time customers. I wasted too much of my time and money there to get treated badly. Go find yourself a better nail salon. I've been coming here over a year and am completely satisfied.  They work quickly and my manicure lasts a long time - despite the hard time I give my nails.  The pedicure is great too - i love the leg massage and have enjoyed trying the different types of pedicures they offer.  As far as some of the complaints go, this is a small salon so there are not alot of staff - but they work fast and dont cut corners if they get busy.  I am patient and dont mind if I have to wait a few minutes - I'd rather wait then have them rush.  I've never had a problem with any of the pedicure chairs, so I dont know what that was about.I also dont like to chat - so the fact that some of the ladies there aren't too chatty suits me well. Worst Experience I have ever had! My boyfriend and I decided to come in for  pedicures on a Sunday afternoon. When we got there we were the only ones there. We thought we weren't going to be able to get both done cause we only saw one nail tech. Well it turns out the other one was attending to the 10 month old baby that was in the backroom . Even before we got in the chairs I knew it was gonna be a rough visit. Since there was nobody else to watch the child they decided to put him in a seat between our chairs!!! As my pedicurist got ready for me, I noticed that she was fussing with one of the filters. The water in the pedi station was now freely flowing into the non-filtered section of the chair. I suggested moving to one of the other 7 open chairs, but she said no. Visions of a bacterial infection gone wrong popped into my head. As I settled into my chair, I attempted to turn on the massage option. The lights were on but it wasn't working. When I asked if it worked, she said no. I said, "Can I ask why you put me in the one chair that doesn't work when there is no one else here?" She didn't have an answer. Half the fun about cheap pedi's is the massage. I was annoyed. When I complained that the broken massage mechanism was stabbing me in the back she put a thick pad behind me, like she knew. I committed to trying to enjoy myself but I was distracted by the owners daughter burping and complaining about how tired she was with the client that suddenly appeared next to me. Got a pedi there yesterday and it was the best I have ever gotten.  They did a mask, sea salt scrub, and a paraffin dip on my feet as well which was by far my favorite part.  They even massage your legs while they work.  I will definitely be going back.  But do make sure to bring a friend, they arent big conversationalist, luckily the lady next to me didnt mind me talking to her. Great service, but what I like best and brings me to Kirkland from Bellevue is that my french manicure lasts for weeks. My nails look very clean and well done - extremely professional job. Staff is also very willing to please the customer, don't cut corners (ie: rush through your nails, forget the top coat, etc...) like I've experienced at other closer businesses.
