Coming from a repeat customer --
1) Arrived on time from a call-in appointment to get shellac. My schedule is packed, and they told me it'd be about 15 minutes. The owner then looked at my nails and demeaningly told me that next time I need to tell her I need a fill. Not shellac.
I wanted the (pink and white) gel to be removed for shelac. She told me that's "not how it works" - it's not how they do it. I was ok with that, I just want to get my nails done. I told her ok, I'll just walk-in from now on. Apologized for the inconvenience, even if I wasn't wrong. She once again repeated that I was "wrong" and repeated that if I call in I need to say I need a "fill".
After feeling like she tried to humiliate me, I left with intent to never return.
2) Was sitting in the pedicure chair waiting for my turn to be serviced. I had requested hotter water and she told me it doesn't get any hotter. It was on the colder side of luke-warm. I didn't say anything. I must have looked a little upset, because I was. She came over, drained the water and turned the hot water on.
My feet were a little red from how much hotter the water was. I didn't want to point out that "Hey, it gets hotter!" Didn't want to bring any more attention to the situation. After she noticed that my feet were red, she laughed at me and disregard the fact that she was wrong -- the water was hotter. No apology for her mistake.
3) Tax evasion. After being a repeat customer, the owner told me she'd give me 5% discount if I pay with cash. Ok, awesome, right?! I had noticed that every time I paid with cash she simply opened the register for the change and did not give me a receipt. She wasn't recording the business transaction. It'd be nice if taxes were lower, sure, but come on now... you're not running business honestly.
They have given me good service, and during that time I particularly did notice that they've upset customers every now and then. Some would stay anyway, some were in the middle of service, some walked out. I'll give them two stars for the times I had good service, but I won't be returning because of the bad times. Read Less
