I went here and paid $30 for a shellac manicure which is priced appropriately. The problem was that the manicurist really went hard on my nails and scratched the skin off of my nails when she was buffing my nails to remove the shellac. This happened 2-3 times and made my fingers sore and raw for about 2 days.  I will not be going back to this place. They did not take their time nor do they care about their work. Read Less

Had my nails redone and very disappointed because I can see my nail right through the shellac polish and there is a chip in my nail. When I brought the chip up to the technician, she said that it looked fine and refused to fix it. Second visit and would not go again. I do not recommend this place. Wish I read these reviews first. Center Nails is often busy so I make my appointments the same day or a few days before.  I get my eye lash extensions here and feel that they are well done and at a good price.  I've had extensions done at other places and often have had issues with the glue.  No such problem here and Nu is great, fast, and doesn't mind my snoring during the application of my lash extensions. :)I've been getting acrylic nails with color and pink and whites for a good twelve years.  My old nail salon moved to a less convenient area and so I tried this local nail salon and have not been disappointed.  Nu does a great job on my pink and whites. Alvin recently took care of my 15 year old daughter who had broke her nail down about 1/2 way down her nail bed and didn't want anyone to touch it.  Alvin gained her trust and took care of her broken nail and fixed her nails so that she was protected and no longer in pain.  And her nails looked great afterward to boot!  Thanks Alvin and Nu for your continued care for our nails, toes, and lashes! I used to absolutely love this place a few years ago!!! But lately haven't been happy with the quality of service. I've given this place quite a few chances and I'm sad to say I won't be going here any longer even though it's walking distance from my home. Appointment or not, it always feels as thought clients are being rushed through, and it is starting to show in the quality of their work. The last time I went to get a shellac manicure by appointment, my nail technician was jumping between me and one other person that had an appointment as well. She ended up putting a top coat on only one of my hands too, which I unfortunately didn't notice until I got home. I went in the next day to get it fixed and was told to come back when the same technician was working. Shellac manicure looked okay. They made my cuticles bleed on 2 nails by cutting too short, then asked if I had used the brush at the sink when they told me to wash my hands like I had done it....nope! Seemed reasonably clean so hopefully I won't get an infection. Technician was pretty nice and gave me tips on how to get the UV light evenly on my thumb to make the shellac settle better. I love this place! Been going since they opened, my guess 11 years.  They can almost always get me in on the spur of a moment, cause I'm not a planner. Of course I have my favorite team,  but all the ladies do a great job and are very cordial . If you have ever had a problem,SPEAK UP, Cause they only want the best for their clients!!! Overall my acrylics turned out fine, but the woman doing my nails answered the phone and got up three times to schedule other appointments. Then proceeded to leave me sitting there for 10 minutes in the middle of putting acrylics on to paint another persons nails. There is a review of this business that, as a long time (5+years) loyal customer,  I have to call out. She listed prices that are not even remotely close to this Center Nail's prices, so I can't help but wonder if the reviewer had the wrong store. Nu and her staff are amazing. They all speak great English, are sweet, helpful, polite and professional. I am REALLY fussy about my nails, I used to spend $75 for a pink and white fill, but since finding Center Nails, I now spend $70 for my fill, a spa pedi and tips. I've been coming here for at least 5 years and never once have I had a bad experience.  Nu, the owner, also does eyelashes and she's great.There unfortunately some people who are never happy, so my guess is that the 1 and 2 stars are that type of person, and/or the staff might have been having a bad day. I was a walk in, and I had "T" give me a French Shellac manicure. It is the BEST I have ever had! I went in with awful nails, some very short with no white showing. He managed to make them all look even and beautiful! And what a super nice guy he is too :-) The place was so nice and clean, and the price was very good. Have been here in the past and service was better,maybe just a bad day. However, I came in here yesterday for a pedicure with my friend and we both noticed the water was cold (not something you expect when getting a pedicure). Then the liners they use in the bowls did not seem very effective water was constantly going underneath them and they would get caught up in the bowl. I've gone here a couple times and each time in the past have not been overly excited about the service or the staffs attitudes. This time was the dinger though. I'm not sure how I was charged $53 for a spa pedi, a shellac mani and a joke of a lotion application; when the gal next to me who received an Acrylic mani, a spa pedi AND received a 35 min massage!! was charged $21~~ The sign for pricing says $30 for spa pedi... and $28 for shellac nails... It's obvious that they don't change according to the service. I get it, it's their business and can charge what they'd like but I won't be coming back. I pay well and tip well for a job well done. The even bigger joke was my heals were roughed up more when I left then when I arrived... and after asking the owner/manager? to smooth them out, she said she can't because it might hurt me. Worst customer service area. I work I the shopping center and have for years. $10 for a color change!! You've got to be kidding me?!?!?!? After declining, I'm talked about in another language the whole time I walk out the door. If you're going to rip people off, at least wait to talk about them in your own language when they're gone. Very snobby atmosphere, and friend of mine (who speaks the same language) came in and they are constantly talking about their loyal customers (and, not in a nice way). I tried to get my nails done here but I guess they don't like money..I showed up 35 minutes before they closed wanting a gel manicure and was told to "come back tomorrow." When I pointed out what time they closed the girl just said not enough time tonight. At max my nails would have kept them 10 minutes after closing. I used to love this place. But this last year they've really gone down hill. There is ONE person who is good. Everyone else acts like they would rather chat or do anything but give pedicures and manicures. The last time I got a manicure the lady was on her phone the entire time. On top of that, the quality isn't very good. They alternate between being a little rough to not doing enough. I'm not sure how the pictures showed designs. I've been going here for 4 years and even when they were good, they would act like I was crazy when I asked for a design on my nails. I stopped asking.They do charge less if you pay cash. I've been to Center Nails a few times and it's pretty ok for the price you pay.  I've gotten pedicures and manicures (just regular nail polish) each time and the service was great.  I was a few minutes late one time, but it was no problem and was taken care of right away.  I've never had a problem making an appointment even with a next-day appointment.  The ladies are pretty quiet, which I appreciate as I like to relax and not have to worry about small talk.The pedicures are good and I would recommend getting your pedicures done here.  The ladies are attentive and the polish doesn't chip easily.The manicures are ok -- tend to chip after a couple weeks.  I picked a dark colored polish the last time I was at Center Nails and the polish started chipping within a week.  It was really noticeable and unfortunate that it happened so soon after the manicure. :( Read Less

I made an appointment for two for a spa pedicure here and was able to be seen the same day. We were even running 10 minutes late, but they greeted us with open arms and promptly started on our pedicures.First impressions: The nail salon is located in the strip mall near Tech City Bowl. It's not hard to find and parking is a breeze. Walking in, the place is very clean and spacious. They have a great selection of nail polish for you to choose from.The nail techs were very very friendly. They didn't say much and appeared very focused in their work, which I didn't mind because I don't chit chat much anyway. This is my favorite manicure place. It's clean and bright, and the staff are always nice. My teenage daughter likes to ask for unusual artwork on her toenails and they always try to accommodate. Been here twice and I actually like it. Do know that you should bring cash for they offer a better cash rate over the credit/debit rates. First time I came was during my lunch and they fit me in right away! It is cool that they actually have more than 3 people available. Second time I visited was yesterday, I had a shellac mani which ended up being 30 I asked why and Alvin (who is sweet btw) and he said they charge $5 for removing the previous shellac.. Not a big deal for Kirkland because the rent is too damn high. I know it is a must to charge for the small things.
