I have been a regular customer for several years at Amy's Nails. Recently a female employee was being harassed by a male employee, she went to the owner and asked for help to stop the verbal abuse. She was told by the owner there was nothing she could do. The female employee was forced to leave. I cannot support a business who does not respect their employees. No matter how clean the salon is or parking availability. Dear J, I agree with you that the problem between the employees was personal, bullying and intimidation are very personal. I disagree that the female employee wasn't forced to leave. Working in a hostile environment is not safe or healthy. Went in last week to give Amy another try. The lady doing my nails proceeded to use the filing tool to remove my Shelac off of my acrylic nails. It was a dark lead gray. She did not get all of the gray color off then was going to start putting on the new acrylic for my fill. I told her I wanted her to finish getting the gray color off and she said oh don't worry she wasn't going to put the acrylic anywhere but close to my cuticles. But she had just filed the entire mail very very thin. So she started doing the fill and went to do my sides and I said again to please take off the rest of the gray. She didn't so I grabbed a file and did a few spots myself. So then Any comes over and asks what the problem is and she thinks it's the lines from grow out nails under acrylic I'm worried about I told her no it's the fact that she didn't remove all of the gray before she started putting on more acrylic. Amy starts filing and one of my fingers got hot. She says oh you so sensitive. I said no, the acrylic is very very thin. She proceeded to file the rest asking if it hurt on every nail. She filed my nails narrower than they grow and so thin I knew they would break. I also chose a color of Shelac that matched my toe color. The lady next to me took the sample and I tell Amy the color and when she starts painting it's a dark raspberry color instead of the clearly bubble gum pink of my toes. Very bad service. Read Less

Nice place. So many people working in there. I’ve had two different girls do my nails and both were very quiet. I wasn’t asked for nail shape just color. I do feel like it’s like any other work establishment in means of employees gathering around and gossiping. Just a little intimidating if it is your first time there. I love that they have pretty much all the nail options that you can find on social media but they won’t take the initiative unless you tell them precisely what you want. Assembly line service. The lady was not even talking to me when I tried to engage in conversation. Also the lady decided to polish my ring finger with a different color with out asking. She just took it for granted that I like that style. So I had to ask her to change it. When I did she gave me a smirk. Interesting customer service. Update: only a week later my nails started to lift at the bed of the nail. Also the tips chipped on some of the nails. They use cheap acrylics products. If you like fast and friendly service, you have come to the right place. Their space looks extremely clean which is always reassuring coming to a new nail place, and I loved the modern furniture, this place is extremely stylish! I definitely feel like I can relax during my time here. The staff are so friendly, and they do an efficient job on my shellac nails, which is my go-to. I think sometimes my nails don't last as long as other places I have been to, and honestly I'm not really sure why? Maybe it's because they spend less time than other places? Maybe the brands of polish they use? If you want a quick job that looks great come here! Even though it might not last long, I think it's still worth it, since it costs less than most places I have been to. It is a different experience depending on who you get. The first time was fine, the second time the nails were incredibly thick and lumpy. When I went back the next day to get them fixed because they were bugging me, I felt like I was putting them out, even though they were not busy. They just did a 2 min rough file down and put a top coat on. I had to go somewhere else and pay them to actually get them filed down to normal size. i got my nails done for a new years party and i asked for an almond shape but instead she gave me a bulky oval shape. the color looks really bad because there wasn't enough coats and as i was drying my nails, someone turned off the fan and basically made me leave so I left the salon with wet nails and came home to busted nails. Well I'll never go two Amy's Nails again. The owner is incredibly rude and insincere. I came in to treat my mom to a pedicure and myself to a polish change. Amy told us to sit in two chairs and the chair she wanted me to sit in was wet & didn't tilt back. I tried to get her attention a couple of times but she was rushing around dealing with other customers. So I did what anybody would do and I grabbed the closest towel from a pedicure chair next to me and wiped my seat off so that I could sit down. Unfortunately, I didn't see that another woman was about to be seated in the chair from which I pulled the towel. So the owner starts shaming me in front of everyone telling me loudly "that was not nice to take her towel." Literally, chewing me out in front of my mom and everyone else. Like I saw the other lady and stole her towel. Come on. I've been going to this place for years and always have been nice and given good tips. I couldn't believe she thought it was okay to chew me out loudly in front of everyone. I quietly wrote her a note and gave it to her after my polish dried letting her know how I felt about it and then when I went up to pay I asked her if she read my note. She said yes and gave me a stone cold face. I said do you understand that I didn't know the lady was going to sit in that chair? She literally had no words for me. Not even an apology. (Most smart business people know the customer is always right and you apologize sincerely if they feel they have been wronged.) Nope. I had to ask for an apology & then got an obviously fake "Sorry. Better now?" Anyways, don't go to this place if you're actually looking for a relaxing treat. It's a complete rush job and half the time they file your feet so hard that it hurts. Read Less

Went regularly to this salon for two years, gradually they started to get busier and opened a new location at this time the attention to detail started to slide, a few times I had LARGE VISABLE dips and valleys in the acrylic nails due to uneven placement and she was too lazy to correct it by grinding them down enough to be even, over all bad experience so I complained, they told me they'd give me a new set and I had no time to wait so I decided to come back the next day, they re did my nails but this time when I asked for a design they said no, I was appalled, here I am upset about my uneven bumpy nails, and I'm here willing to PAY for a new set and then SHE SAID NO TO A DESIGN, and even worse proceeded to talk in Vietnamese and longing at me, ridiculous, literally the worst nail experience I ever had, I left there and NEVER WENT BACK. I go to Amy's quite a bit and have never felt like I was important. They have a lot of color selections and are super clean (why I was nice enough to give them 2 stars). This last time tho the owner was super rude to me and the girl doing my nails answered every phone call/text she received which was like 5. It made me anxious. Amy's is my favorite nail salon hands down. Every time I go in they do an incredible job. Derrick did my nails the last two times I've been there and he did a fantastic job! My nails were absolute garbage when I walked in, and he turned them into a beautiful blue with the most stunning flower I have ever seen(I've posted pics). They're always nice, always professional. Took my friend there to get a pedi  for her first time and I was shocked to see the amount of time they spent with my friend and me, They worked on my feet 10 min before they started on her feet and was done with both of us at the same time. I felt it was a rush job and at the time I wanted to say something because the girls that were there before us was still in their chair getting their pedi, Amy take care of all your customers, not just a few.  I will be taking my friend somewhere else to get a better experience, any suggestions are welcomed. This place is now my go to place. Customer service is top notch. Amy's mom did my pedicure and notice my left big toe had an ingrown nail. She tried to take of it. Then Amy decided to check it out and work on it. Well Amy saw it was bleeding and took it upon her self and put ointment on it. Just that alone made me want to come back. I used to like Amy's when they were in the smaller location. I've tried the larger salon twice now, both times have been pretty awful. First time, the tech rushed and my gel manicure began chipping just a few days after the service. Today, I felt super uncomfortable as Amy raced around the shop and quickly stopped by my chair to let me know it would cost $5 extra to take off the shellac on my nails before putting on the new coat. It was awkward. 2 minutes later the tech doing my pedicure stopped to tell me it would be the same price without nail polish. An unwelcoming and a rushed experience. I went in for a pedicure last night and they were pretty good. When I got home I realized that I had a nick in my polish on one of my toes (not sure exactly when this happened but only noticed when I got home). I went back into today to ask how long would it be to fix the polish since I was just there last night and was told rudely that they are only taking appointments today and could not do it. It would have taken them 5 minutes to remove the old polish and put on the new. This is how you lose customers. Read Less

I went in needing to get a shellac manicure and it turned out great. They were very busy but managed to take anyone who was walking in. I got helped in a timely manner and didn't feel rushed at all. Great experience. I haven't been to Amy's since they were at their old location, this is such a nice upgrade.My nails looked great the first few days, now they are lifting on the top corners of a few nails. I've been here quite a few times for pedi's, SNS and even gel. Every time I've gone, the staff/customer service has been so-so, which is not really a big deal to me until what happened on my last visit.I was having SNS removed then redone and looking at the display, I chose a nice light orange. When the lady showed me the powder it looked WAY different than the display. It was hot pink. I asked to look at the display again and chose two colors to compare since i knew they would be different than the display. Because the manager was right next to the powder retrieving some for her client, my technician asked her if she could fetch the two colors i wanted to look at.The manager tried to convince me to keep the current one I had originally picked, but it really wasn't my style. So I asked again if i could see my two other choices. I really didn't think it was that big of a deal especially since she was standing right next to the drawers. Snarkily, she said, "it will now take me longer to look. One minute."I replied, "thank you."Apparently this was a huge inconvenience to her because she responded with, "you are NOT WELCOME," and sheepishly laughed it off. Note, this was in front of the entire salon. Everyone watching. I was humiliated. I really wish I would have walked out of the salon at that moment, but I was just in shock because I really didn't think I had said anything rude.This wasn't the only thing that bothered me about my visit.You can tell all they care about is money here: they are discourteous when you ask for anything extra. When I go to a salon, I want them to take their time and I want to feel relaxed. Here, they are just worried about getting it done and moving to the next person. I didn't get any massage, lotion, nor tips with the SNS!! That is usually default at most places. I did get tips the first time I got my SNS here, but seems like they're not doing that anymore.The manager is discourteous, hasty, and cheap!! I will NEVER come back to this salon. Read Less

My first impression of the facility was actually really positive. It's nicely decorated, very large, clean, and has a nice ambience. However when I got there, they were understaffed despite having an appointment and my feet sat in lukewarm water for almost 45 minutes before I saw someone. They spent all of maybe 15-20 minutes on my pedicure and the manicurist didn't use a top coat, then told me I could wear my shoes in 30 minutes to an hour. Against my better judgment (mostly because I had errands to run and had to wear my shoes), I slipped on my sandals a half hour later and my polish is ruined. Whilr inspecting the damage, I noticed my cuticles are jagged, the filing and shaping is poor, and she left me with perifin wax residue all over my ankles. I'm not happy and will not be back. Went in before a weekend trip to Vegas for coffin shaped acrylics and left with acrylic overlays with my natural nails no extensions. I brought pictures of what I wanted and she seemed to understand but it's totally not what I got. By the time I realized she wasn't going to use tips it was too far into the service to stop. Here I am on day 3 and they are already chipped and broken. This is not the first time I've had bad service from Amy's but it will be the last. I've had shellac peel after 3 days and I've gotten a nail fungus from their old location. I know lots of people that swear by Amy's but it really depends on who you get. Read Less

This is the only place I go to get my nails done. It feels clean and luxurious and the staff is all super sweet. My shellac manicures always last the full three weeks, I would highly recommend them. I use to love going to Amy's until they moved. The last 3 times I've been to the new location the service has been horrible. I got my nails done a week ago they started lifting the next day I couldn't go back and get them fixed due to being on a plane heading for vacation. Two days later one just came off the next day 2 popped off and 6 are lifting I have never had this problem. My nails last longer than 2 weeks. After reading a couple negative reviews and seeing the 3.5 star rating, I was very skeptical about this place, but it was so close to my house and I knew they opened up a new location so I gave it a try for a mani/pedi. SO glad I did.*Salon and staff overview*-It is so beautiful on the inside. Everything is new and nicely organized. -They have a really great selection of nice nail polishes (Essie and OPI) and trendy colors. -Great new massage chairs-All staff have matching uniforms so it is very professional (unlike most nail salons).-Free water bottles-Very friendly and nice technicians *Service overview*-Quick and detailed-My finger nails and toes were painted perfectly-They worked on my toes and fingernails at the same time (while I relaxed in the massage chair) so I got out of there in a little under an hour (including drying time) *Price*-$39 before tip for a mani and pedi (with paraffin treatment and hand/foot/back massage).
