Nail places always scare me since they tend to be very inconsistent, but when I went here to get my broken acrylic nail fixed and my nails repainted, they were so sweet and got me in and out asap without being sloppy. I was even given a hot green tea that I didn't ask for which I love! I will definitely be coming back. You can tell they keep people coming because I saw a regular come in hugging one of the employees. One my favorite experiences at a shop. Cute location too! Edit: unfortunately we will not be coming back here. We were sure this was our regular nails place but the past two times we've gone, have been extremely dissapointing. One time we made an appointment at 4:15pm they rushed our pedicures and manicures. My mom wasn't happy with how the nail polish was going on her nails (the polish was too thick and old) and we asked them to repaint them with a newer polish. The girl made it clear that it was an inconvience, she rolled her eyes and sighed loudly multiple times while finishing up our nails. Another time, I noticed the lady put very thin coats of shellac on my nails, so I asked for a third coat. She ignored me completely and basically refused to do it. First time at Uptown Nails, they did the best full set! I have been looking for a new nail shop and I'll definitely be going back here! I didn't feel as if they where rushing threw the service like a lot of places do and They where gentle which I loved because my nails are so sensitive. I am really not sure how this place has decent reviews. There is such a painfully obtrusive language barrier here. Usually there is at least one person in a salon that speaks a functional amount of English. Not here. The person who speaks the most English does not speak it well enough to get the important information across, and is definitely not the person booking appointments over the phone. I have no idea why they would let the person with the lesser amount of knowledge of English be answering the phones. They definitely over book themselves and have people waiting when they made it sound like they could get you right in. The lady next to me, who finally was seated, showed them a coupon for a mani pedi deal, which they denied. They tried to communicate something about their website and how they couldn't get that coupon taken down, because it was from 2016. A good customer service example would have been to honor the coupon, because it is not the customer's fault that they are not able to manage their own marketing... from 2016!!! The lady with the coupon had even called ahead of time to make sure she could use the coupon. Because of their inability to communicate in English, whoever she talked to on the phone told her she could use the coupon. Then when she got here, and finally seated, they told her she could not use the coupon. Not ok. The only good part so far has been that there was a bit of reflexology massage included in this pedicure. As we speak, there is even more communication errors happening!! Unbelievable. Another customer was finally seated after an hour and 15 min of waiting. Again, she had called and was told they could get her right in. Not the case. Paid $30 for standard pedicure, and was given a 20% coupon for next time, but I will not be returning. Who knows if they would even honor their own coupon anyways. Read Less

I will never be going back. This was my go to place when I moved to Issaquah. I loved the staff. But one day while I was getting a pedicure, I was sitting next to another women that asked for a facial waxing. The man that was helping her went into the other room and brought the wax pot out into the communal area, which I thought was bad enough by itself (who doesn’t want a little privacy while being waxed) then he proceeded to wax her eyebrows and upper lip. He used the same wax stick the whole time (double dipping back into the pot to get more wax each time) which is putting all of her bacteria, and possible hair and Skin back into the pot that they use on all their other customers. I am in the beauty industry, so I immediately said something but they blew it off like it was no big deal. Except it could get them shut down if State Department was to ever show up. This was repulsive to me. He should have been using a new stick every time he touched one to her face. I will never be going back no matter how much I enjoyed the friendlyness of the staff. It was my first time here. I called one hour earlier to schedule a signature uptown pedicure and got the appointment right away. When I arrived I was accommodated immediately and had a great service by the staff. They helped me to find the color I wanted since my nail polish are all from my country.The service was clean and very well made. The feet massage was on point and they did a great job with the cuticles and nail polishing. I felt very comfortable the whole time. I will definitely come back and try other services. Read Less

Came in here today for the first time today, I made an appointment and got seated right away at the appointment time. I was in a little bit of a rush because I had to go in for work within an hour. Tina got my nails done in a little less than an hour. Loved how she did my nails, I am very picky about nail salons. I usually only go to the one in Bellevue but I didn't think I could make it to time with traffic and everything. I was a little hesitant about this place cause of the reviews but the photos looked amazing. Best decision in my life! My nails aren't too thick or thin, shaped and sized all perfectly. Polish wasn't gloppy or anything. Just as good as my usual salon, if not better since they are a little cheaper. This place is so much closer to my house,  will definitely be back for my fills! This is my favorite nail salon in Issaquah. The staff is so friendly and does such a nice job every time.Pretty standard pricing, but you really get good bang for your buck here.I love that this salon is right in town.I always see them open late to accommodate walk-ins.I will always go to Uptown Nails. I go though all reviews and photos on each salon-having looked a the photos you can tell the high quality of work they do, reviews may below for customer service etc-but what they end up looking like is the more important. While the higher rated salons had photos that were not the prettiest or well done nails. I went with the salon that had low stars but the photos proved their worth. And I am GLAD I did.   I came in first thing in the morning, I needed pretty and semi glittery nails without being overboard for a military formal function. I showed here a few photos and she did her magic. She was friendly, made sure to ask if i wanted any changes and if I liked what she was doing. In the end I loved them so much! she even too a photo of my nails and a business card for future marketing for her. I loved the nails, my family and husband did too.when it comes to nail salons, hair salons etc-we must read reviews and look at all the photos diligently and figure out what is important to you. high stars or medium based stars, to me, I can sacrifice minimal chatting, ok customer service for great looking nails.
