Got an acrylic fill. Won't be coming back here. Cut my cuticle and hurt at least 3 or 4. Shaping was bad, I liked my shape I came in with and left with some wonky. I'm not a super particular person so I'll live with it until I get them filled again in a few weeks (not here). Like the gel color I chose but it's not smooth, it's more textured than it should be. Maybe cause he did 3 layers of gel plus a clear top coat? Just not a fan. (In the photos u can see on my right hand the middle finger is shaped terribly). Ughh. I really wanted to like this place.got acrylics, and a couple refills from this place, and the lastest experience was very dissapointing.The lady grinded my cuticles with the grinder tool, and my thumb is bleeding now. No pushers, no oils, nothing. Those tools are not for skin! And when she was a half way through my manicures, a woman walked in asking for a new acrylics set with SNS. She asked her to wait for a bit, and from that moment, she was rushing the entire time! Uneven manicure, dirts under my nails, and she even applied top coats when my nails were still not dried-almost too wet. She was basically rushing to put 2 coats of manicure and top coats non-stop. I didn't even get a chance to dry them under the fan for a few seconds. So my nails were all bubbled up and she came up with this excuse, "sometimes drying under the fan can cause the bubbles to form". Well I never had those problems when I dried my nails completely after each coat! The coats are too thick and wet so when I put them under the fan, only the top part got dried and all the air bubbles trapped inside. I told her about the bubbles and she would put some drying solution, but guess what? they are still there ! Bubbly, dirty, and bleeding. They were asking around if they want to have a cup of tea or water, but I was the only one out or 4 customers who were not offered any. Definitely avoid this place especialy if you are looking for a refill or simple manicure. You'll get downgraded service and be rushed over those "expensive" customers. Read Less

I love this place~ I was adamant about going but because my first option for some reason was not open, this place was a life saver~ they were nice and I love the inside. It's a cute nail spot. The guy who did my nails were kind and did a great job~ no regrets. 25 for gel, 20 for normal mani. Extra 5 for design which is what I did. long story short i've been getting my nails done every 3 weeks (appx) for 4 years now at various salons, and this was the worst manicure i ever received. i'm not exaggerating. ok now the long version - the quiet young girl who did my pedicure was amazing, perfectly gentle and precise. but i was handed over to a tall male for my manicure and he was the opposite. i've been doing Healthy Nails dip powder at a renton salon for a couple months and love it, so tried the SNS here. i don't know if he wasn't trained in how to apply the powder correctly or is just sloppy but he got it all over my cuticles (after trimming them much to short and making me bleed). and even worse, after getting the polish all over my cuticles and skin he tried to remove it with the grinder tool (OUCH that's not meant for use on skin hello). i continuously pulled my hand back and said ouch but he kept going. despite his excessive grinding it's still much too thick on many edges which has led it to lifting up after only a few days (and never usually happens with the dips). another woman touched up one nail and rang me out and she didn't act like these nails were abnormal so i'm not sure if this is just passing quality for the salon or maybe she was embarrassed. either way i won't be going back, i would rather drive an hour to renton. :'( Read Less

I've been to this nail salon several times over the last few years for pedicures. The technicians don't talk to each other while servicing clients which is great and relaxing. I don't like all those places where the technicians constantly talk to each other in foreign languages while working on you. They are clean and sanitary. The service is never rushed and my pedicures always look good. The price is very reasonable for this kind of service. They are a bit out of the way for me but every now and then I make the effort to go to this place. Read Less

I have been coming here for many years.  The last few visits have been disappointing.  The quality is subpar.   The new employees seem inexperienced.  If you make an appointment, don't expect to be treated like you have one.  I feel bad leaving this review as I have known Ann for many years, she did my nails for my wedding 20 years ago!  I would be willing to go back if she hired different employees or trained the new people (or if Ann herself did my nails!) Wonderful people, very nice, they keep to their appointments, don't take on more clients then they can handle so they get 2 stars. Sadly, they did not do my acrylics well. While they gave me the design I wanted, he did not fix the lifting that happens, instead he just added more powder over it. Because it wasn't done right, my acrylics fell off in two weeks (first time ever that i didnt manage to go 3)and one nail now has a fungal infection. I'm only giving this 1 star because the people were nice. The man who did my nails was completely unqualified. He would be filing my skin instead of my nails and when I flinched back in pain he just laughing. My acrylics were uneven and un shaped. I am so disappointed that I spent $30 on these. I got a shellac/gel manicure on a Thursday and it only lasted the weekend. It looked like I did it myself. Also the guy kept trying to file down the edges of the gel after it dried, because it dried onto my skin, and ended up cutting my finger. I don't recommend this place :( Read Less

I came in to get a  manicure since I was near by.   Walked in, dead silence.  It was a Saturday afternoon around 4pm.   It was awkward place to me.  No noise, no music, no tv, no one was talking.  It also smelled like they needed some fresh air in there.  Aside from that, the person that gave me my "manicure" didn't even use cuticle remover or cuticle oil for the end.  As a licensed cosmetologist, I was honestly disappointed in this.  They smiled as I walked in and walked out.  Wouldn't go back again.  Sorry. I've been a regular at LaPetite nails for a while, i love this place and won't go anywhere else! Ann, David, Tim and her crew does a great job. The salon is always comfortable, relaxing and clean. SNS gel nails was recently introduced and I gave it a try. It is an organic dipping powder, quick drying, odor free, lightweight and natural feel.  It lasts just as long as shellac, however the best part- the removal process is less damaging to your nails and much quicker. SNS also helps your nail beds become stronger and healthier. My nails looked and felt amazing when David was done.  I now prefer SNS over shellac. 2 weeks later and my nails STILL look shiny and great! My nails have never looked so good! They have an awesome alternative to acrylic nails that actually make your nails healthier. My poor dry cuticles feel so much better. I came here before and had an somewhat good experience. They were nice and patience. The first time I came for a acrylic refill and the full turned out really good and the shape was fine. The person her did it was the older lady (I think she's the owner). But when I came into today I had a guy do it. By the end of the appointment the shape was very uneven and not what I wanted (I wanted more of an almond/oval shape and it's more of a somewhat square shape) he also really scraped up my skin when doing the shape and now I have cut marks which hurt. I also didn't like the paint job it's runs over to my skin a little and almost "see-though". I was really disappointed and wish I got it done with the girl. Read Less

The best thing about my shellac manicure from La Petite Belle was the price.  The service was also decent - the ladies were really nice, even though I was super late for my appointment (traffic off Front Street is terrible!!).  Once I got to my car after my appointment, I noticed that there was a lot of nails that where the gel was on my cuticles.  Overall, just messy.  And now...a week later, the gel is pealing off on half my fingers.  Other places I've been, my shellac will last 3 weeks - so this is really bad.  I will not be going back. Got a classic mani pedi and both were pretty awful. One woman worked on my toes while another worked on my hands. The one who worked on my toes was falling asleep the entire time and my toes reflect this. I just asked for a clear color on my nails and they also look awful. My fingernails honestly looked better before I came in. They are now all scratched and jagged, will have to file them when I get home. Very disappointed. I can't blame it on them being busy as my mother and I were their only guests. Will be redoing my nails as soon as I get home. Read Less

I came here on the recommendation of a friend and I loved it!  They did a great job on my nails and were very accommodating.  It's a medium size salon in Front St and they offer a decent selection of colors.  My recommendation would be to have some palettes showing the shellac colors because I was opening bottles to get a look.  I ended up with an unexpected hot pink that I really like, but it wasn't what I came in for.  The massage was really great, it wasn't just a 1-2-Bye quickie, but it was actually good and had some pressure!  I was observing the ladies next to me getting pedicures, it seems like they do a nice job so I will be back!  It was also great talking to Ann-the owner.  Very kind woman who is passionate about what she does. Came here after work to get a fill in. It was around 6:25 so I know it was rather late, but they still agreed to take in a paying customer. Job seemed ok, and at the end as my nails were drying, a guy steps in and tries to speed up the process by painting on some kind of fast drying oil to get me out the door quicker. Few minutes later my polish formed bubbles. The next day, after the moisturizing cuticle oil has been washed off, reality of the job became apparent. Uneven application of the acrylic: over my cuticles and: one of my nails cracked due to over filing the acrylic. Why the entire nail is filed when I do a fill in.. I don't know. I came back that next day to express dissatisfaction of the thinness of my nails and  overlapping acrylic over my cuticles. I also brought in a photo of the bubbling (since the job was hideous, I took off the nail polish)The response was, "I've been doing nails for decades, I never get complaints"Ok, but the proof of evidence is sitting right there in front of you and clearly the job was mediocre at best.After pointless talk of the owner defending her work, I get my nails re done. Then something odd happens. I get asked to pose my hands and she takes 2 pictures. She then proceeds to take a picture of my face- ALL WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.I ask her why and tell her I didn't give her permission to do that. She replies back, "So I can keep track of my clients and when next time you come in, I will know"??????????????????????After such move, there won't be a next time.?????????She then says if I delete my photo of their botched job, she will delete those 3 photos that she just took (without my permission)I know I told her I won't post any negative reviews, but this just didn't seem right. I booked a last minute mani pedi for the same day and they were super accommodating and prompt. Ann did a really wonderful job with my shellac nails. We chatted a little bit and I found out she's been in the business for a long, long time. I can tell she really cares about the salon and her customers, and strives to provide the best experience possible. A gentleman whose name I didn't get did my pedicure, and he was very gentle and thorough. The salon itself is bright and very clean. My favorite part was the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. At most salons in the Seattle area, I feel ignored as the manicurists talk amongst themselves and barely pay attention to me or their work. Not at La Petite Belle. Ann and I talked about how she hires people who are dedicated, detail-oriented, and focused. The amount of time and energy she puts into hiring and training quality staff must be huge, but I think the effort really shows.My only wish is that there were more higher quality polish options (like Deborah Lipman or Butter London). A few months ago I got a strange urge to get my nails done. I had never in my life had acrylic nails before! I walked into La Petite Belle with no appointment and was immediately seated. I shared a photo of the type of almond shaped "claw" type nails I wanted and Ann continued to give me fantastically long sharp nails! However after a few fill appointments (which were so inexpensive!!) I realized that I didn't like having arcylic nails for that long a time. They were so thick and cumbersome.Ann has spotted me walking outside and ran out to say hello, but I was too embarrassed to show her I had taken the arcylic off!! ^^; It was fun for a while, but I like my nails low key most of the time! The business name has changed to La Petite Belle (from fantasy Nails) since it has changed hands in the last few months and this is the only place I will go to from now on! Their price is excellent, but that's not the best part. The owner Kim is a sweet and hard working lady who makes sure her clients are treated well and every detail, from your nails to the color of the shop are pleasing. Very clean with newer comfy chairs (that massage and change colors)! They do excellent work, her employee Tina is super too. I got a mani/pedi and I left feeling like a princess. I'm in the health industry, so I'm hard on my hands, its been a week and they haven't chipped. I'm so pleased that I had to write a review! Read Less
