I just went here for the first time and won’t be back. I’m not doing 1 star because the lady who did my nails was very nice and they looked amazing, but I got gel polish and they started peeling off at the cuticles after 3 days, it’s now day 5 and I’m looking for somewhere else to go to get them done again, so I’m spending more money. I used to pick/chew my nails, a bad habit of over 20 years. I haven't since I started getting my nails done here! I've only had my nails done by Amy but all the staff I've met have been lovely and knowledgeable. Amy gave me suggestions for what might help me stop (ones I hadn't thought of or heard before) as well as doing my nails in a way that made it soo much harder to pick or chew! If you pick your nails (or even if you don't), I highly recommend this place, especially if you're anxious about being laughed at for how bad your nails are! These ladies would never do that! It's definitely worth the money as they know what they're doing and only use quality products. Now that my nails are a normal length, I haven't had any chipping, peeling, lifting, I only have to get them redone because the gap of bare nail gets too big as they grow! Read Less

I've just got back from my first visit to the Makeup & Nail Studio thanks to multiple recommendations. My nails have been damaged immensely due to poor salon treatments (can you even call them 'treatments') from the in-and-out mall salons, mostly due to the latest craze of SNS. There is a lot of hype surrounding this and a lot of emphasis on them being natural and healthy. While this may be so, the removal process is so extremely damaging due to soaking in pure acetone and th...en the excessive filing and sanding of your natural nail. My nails have become so damaged that they are literally paper thin and I am now in a position where they are almost non-existent. Word of mouth has paid off, and is definitely the best form of advertising! After multiple recommendations I managed to get in to this busy salon for some repair and TLC. I cannot say how relieved and grateful I am now to have qualified, professional and hygienic technicians on hand to restore me back to health and beauty. These ladies are truly wonderful and I have the utmost trust in their work. I look forward to having beautiful nails again thanks to Sue and her team of lovely, hardworking ladies. I've been coming here for years but after today I will never come back. I came to get a fill and one of my nails had a crack in it; I asked her if we should replace the nail & she says it will be fine and continues on with my nails. Less than two hours later my fresh set has the exact same crack. I went in to ask her to replace the nail & she argues with me saying it'll cost $5 to remove and $3 to repair, so she just does what she does 2 hours prior & covers it with powder. The fact they didn't compensate me for their mistake is one thing, but to sit there and argue with me when I've been supporting your business for years is another. It was going to be my 17 daughter's b-day so I thought it was a great gift to have her nails done and her eyebrows, so I send her there. So, she walked in and the guy (owner) asked her in a bad mood "what do you want"   Totally  NOT NICE! That's not how you treat costumers it was going to be her first time and wasn't a good experience for her, I come here all the time but that's enough with their bad attitude and rude employees. I read the previous bad reviews but since I live so close I thought I'd give them a try solely based off the convience of the location. When they say the staff is rude it is not a lie. I have NEVER been treated so rudely at a nail salon. It's soo bad. I could write a full novel about it. Save yourself the time and money. Go somewhere else. Read Less

I really like this place. I've been going here for the past 2 years about every other month. The prices are reasonable. I always get gel polish and it lasts for 3-5 weeks!  I've been to other salons where it doesn't even last 2 weeks. They do great eyebrow waxing as well. The staff is polite. I had a Heavy set mid 50's Woman do my Nails, She was terrible. The rest seemed fine. she did not use base coat on my toes. no leg or hand wrist massage. one hand was filed pointy, the other round, Started to put on the wrong polish but I caught her mistake. The drying light she used only stayed on 5 sec then she would have to hit a button to turn it back on. I watched all the other girls doing other customers the right way. This Woman was the laziest I have ever had. I was just rushed through. When she was done with my nails she got up and moved to the next customer not saying a word to me. My Sister was so Embarrassed as she told me this was a good place that she paid for mine. I was pissed she gave her a good tip. I've been going here a few years and it's still 5 stars for me. I've been to a lot of places, but this is the only nail salon where my mani/pedi lasts a long time, and they even wash your legs, and give you hot wax for your feet. Super soft every time. Highly recommended. Read Less

I've been here a couple times now, but won't be back.  Here's why:1-Rude Employees.  Yes pretty much all nail places have people talking in Vietnamese, but here it is non-stop laughing, pointing, and trash talking in Vietnamese.  There is not a moment of silence in here.  It was so bad that a customer at one point actually asked "What are you guys saying?" because they were laughing nonstop while directing motions towards her.2-They cannot do nail designs.  I found the simplest design online and they looked at it and said "No".  It was just a fall-style flower on one of my nails. My 6 year old son could of probably done it.3-When doing your pedicure they don't do a very good job with your cuticles.  They push them with the cuticle press a lot, but don't trim them well.4-I left with gel polish all over my skin around and behind my fingers.  You know how hard that stuff is to get off???The only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because they have a good color selection and the place is clean.  Besides that I'm not impressed.
