I need to let people who live in Gig Harbor know about an experience I just had. I just went to get my eyebrows done, and when I walked in to the wax room, there was a group of women standing around and when I walked closer one of the employee women said “Oh wow!” And then they kept talking at pointing and laughing at me, and the woman doing my brows said “Oh mommy, stop it” while still laughing and talking to each other. I honestly don’t know what was said about me, but it made me extremely uncomfortable. I told her at the end that I won’t be coming back in because of how that made me feel, and all she said was “Oh ok, sorry.” I feel like a place meant to help make people look and feel their best should be held to higher standards. I don’t feel like people should get a free pass to make fun of others just because there is the potential of them not understanding you. I have never had an issue with the people here or the way they've done my nails. Other places, I've had a bunch of problems because I like the stiletto shape. But the ladies who've done my nails there have been amazing and very attentive to making sure I am getting what I want. I even took my friend there and she took me that she wants to go back to get her fill there but it was too late by the time she got off work. I haven't gotten art done on my nails in a really long time but from seeing the woman who was getting hand drawn art done, I think they do a fantastic job with that as well and wouldn't mind having it done one day. They aren't super expensive either, even though the work they do is better than a lot I've gotten done at expensive places. I recommend this place even if you're not in the area. I live in Tacoma. I've shopped around for a nail salon since I'm new to the area. This is the best one I've been to yet and will be returning for the foreseeable future. Very nice staff, clean, relaxing atmosphere. My acrylics are nice and thin and very smooth. My nail tech really took time on each one. Read Less

Today was my second pedi at GNails. I have never had someone spend so much time trimming my extra skin and shaping my funky toenails as they do here. The price is also the best in Kitsap County! I love it! It's a 45 minute drive from my house, but worth every minute of it. Read Less

I have tried several places in Gig Harbor since moving here and G Nails is my favorite. Pedicurists are consistent and do a nice job. The 5 stars are really for Lam who does an amazing job on manicures. I'm picky and she's very good at detail work. Read Less

I moved to Wa. Last summer and was nervous about trying a new salon.  After nail hopping I came to G nails, and found "my" salon. Service is great, generally I can just walk in with minimal wait and prices are great especially since paraffin and hot stones are included in the pedi's. Read Less

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!! They are the best nail salon in the Gig Harbor area, hands down. I was extremely rushed even though they literally only had two customers in there. I got my arms waxed yet there are spots all over my arms with hair and I even showed them when I was there that they missed spots. Now that I'm gone I see that they missed even more. I got a pedicure today, and typically the salon takes it's time and does a fantastic job. Today, the girl who did my pedicure was a little speedy, it seemed, and shucks, I could have painted my toenails better. Also, now that I'm in my car and my feet are dry, I'm seeing a TON of peeling skin that really should have come off when she was working on my feet. I always come to G Nails for my pedicures since I get maybe three a year, and thus far, this salon has been very consistent. I really like this place. They are very accommodating, all the massage chairs are in good working condition, they line the tubs with disposable wrappers and they do a very good job. Lam is a beautiful artists with her hand paintings that she will do on your toes. Read Less

Horrrrrrrrible service. Having a girls day with my daughter. Asked to get a pedicure with her just with no polish (i just recently got gel on my toes) they told me i couldnt do that... I dont see why its an issue to have me soak my feet and just relax while my daughter is having her nails and toes done as well. Instead i just sat there. Read Less

Great Pedicure. Definitely can work on customer service tho. I got this feeling that making an appt for the deluxe pedicure did not matter much. When I got in the pedicure chair , they still had no idea that my appt was for this. My husband gave me bday present for this particular service. It was disappointing because she had already started my pedicure and had to stop multiple times and walk away to get all the necessary items for the deluxe pedicure. I got this feeling like people are shuffled in and out of there as fast as possible. I have come to the conclusion that it is not relaxing to go to a nail salon and listen to all the employees speak their native language in front of others. The manicure was one of the worst I have had. The weirdest part was when it was time for my arms to be massaged, she started using a certain "cupping" type technique, but it was so rough and in my personal space and then she started massaging my spine so she was way to into my personal space and she was actually massaging the spine, not the muscles on either side. I love the staff at GNails. It's a clean and friendly environment. They give great pedicure's and especially love the hot stone leg massage! No matter how busy they are, you never rushed. This is by far the best nail salon I have been to in this area. I have tried dozens of different places in Kitsap County, Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Issaquah, and this place beats them all by far. The owner is amazing, she is the nicest person and always remembers me and details about me no matter how long it's been since I was last in there. They do an excellent job; I always get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure and both always turn out great. If you are unhappy, they are happy to redo it. I will say, my only complaint is that they do not do your manicure and pedicure at the same time unless you ask, and even when you ask and it doesn't seem too crazy busy, they still might not be able to do it. I always ask when I call to see if they have time and then remind them when I get there. Otherwise, this is literally the only place I have been to where my gel manicure lasts at least 14 days - when the owner does it, I almost get 3 weeks out of it! She's phenomenal! I drive all the way from the Poulsbo area just to get my nails done here because everywhere around here is more expensive and does a terrible job compared to G Nails! Read Less

Came to visit my sister and had a girls day at the salon. Lam took her time and did an excellent job on my gel manicure. She was able to see a picture I provided and replicate an exact version. My 5 yr old daughter also received stellar service by Kim. She was able to decorate her tiny nails with a delicate flower on each nail. Very pleased with the nail techs here. Normally I go to a full service spa salon for my mani/pedis but I was going on vacation and they could not accommodate my schedule. Based on Yelp reviews, I selected G Nails. The Mani/pedi was a good value. The girls were friendly but they had a full on conversation in their native language as they did my nails. If that is something that bothers you, then I do not recommend this salon. Also, the next morning, I had a three inch by two inch very ugly bruise on my arm from where the girl massaged too hard. I was going to a wedding two days later so this ended up being quite unsightly. It's been one week and it has still not faded much. Be sure to speak up if you feel the massage is too deep. Read Less

I and my daughter went to get a pedi yesterday and even though there was a wait, when it was our turn they took the time to do a great pedicure. I didn't feel rushed, thanks for the great customer service. and thank you for taking care of my daughter who is going through chemo and the pedicure was very relaxing:) I have gone to a few nail "spas"-in silverdale and it was one of the worse experience they did a 10 min pedi and I paid the same price as your spa. I've been to a few nail salons here in G. H., but to be truthful G Nails was the best! I went in with no appointment & was told I'd have a 30 minute wait. I've had so many horror stories with my nails over the years. I don't have that here! Their customer service is spot on. They always welcome you, remember you, and ask how you are. I get gel color on acrylic all the time and they've always come out vibrant and matching in length. They don't glob on the acrylic either so you don't end up with "fat" nails if that makes sense. They look natural honestly! Each time I've gone I get a small hand massage and arm massage with lotion as well. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area who needs their nails done! I came from Tiny Nails and I was so disappointed with their poor customer service after we experienced two BIG mistakes.... So it was so nice to come to G Nails and Spa and receive the total opposite :) They were so attentive and lovely. The workmanship far exceeds that of all others and they actually listened to me. The spa pedicure was incredible and my acrylic nails finally look pretty. I could not be more happier with our new nail home. We will only be going to G Nails and Spa for now on! G-nails is a nice looking salon and from being in the beauty industry I can tell they follow all the safety and sanitation laws.. but customer service is everything in the industry. Customer service is what they are lacking. Everytime I go in and get my nails filled I use black acrylic powder and they never understand that and talk down to me. I wants to try a new nail shape "coffin" shape. Its all over pintrest,  I tried it myself it was pretty cute, when I went in the nail tech asked me what happened to my nails and how terrible they looked.
