I went in to get my eyebrows done today for the first time in their salon... I explained to her that I'm very picky where I go to get my eyebrows done cuz people mess it up. So the woman finishes does my eyebrows I quickly glance.. noticed my left eyebrow was a little off but no biggie.. nothing worry about.. I got home and looked in the mirror and realized I have a section of my eyebrow missing on my right side!! I called her minutes after I left and explain to her what happened and she took no possibility for her actions!! I would have respected her more if she said it was an honest mistake.. She tried to tell me.. well didn't you say the last people messed up your eyebrows?? so that wasn't me... Don't waste your money. I went in for a fill, not only do my nails look bubbly and like crap but I was charged $35!!! I've had many fills done and NEVER been charged over $20 and that's including gel fill ... the girl painted on my tips with gel, they are so freaking thick and bad looking. I love Lotus for a few reasons; they are open everyday!  How many of you want to get your nails done on a Sunday or Monday because... lots of us have those days of, just to find out that NOWHERE IS OPEN!  Not Lotus, they are here to serve you 7 days a week!  And they stay open until 8 PM!  The spa itself is very clean, friendly and inviting atmosphere.  The women that work here are for the most part friendly (I have had a couple questionable ladies...) AND they have an awesome selection of colors!My 1 "down-star" is due to my inconsistent experiences here.  I have been treated super kind, and also treated like I was a big inconvenience (and not at the end of the day).  I have also 90% of the time had amazing service and LOVED my nails.  I have also left a few times wondering why I didn't do my nails myself... inconsistent.  Not sure if I had new girls those few times, but if that's the case they should offer a discount.  They are a bit more expensive then other nails salons also, however I could assume this may be due to being open 7 DAYS A WEEK AND OPEN LATE (again a plus!)Stop by if you are in the area on a Sunday or Monday (or any other day...) but be sure to call ahead as they are usually busy (yes I have been turned down a few times). Didn't have great customer service. The person who did my nails was mean muggin me and rushing. My nails look like stubby fat little buttons. The paint job was good, all smooth but she didn't paint the entire nail. There was a lot of nail left without color. But it's better than if I'd have done it at home and for the price, it wasn't too bad. But it was an uncomfortable situation and when I'd ask her a question cuz it was my first time there, she was rude and distant. Like she didn't want to be there at all and didn't care about anything. Like she was super over it... I probably won't go back because it was so painfully awkward. Also my hands dry out super quickly, why does the fan have to be hot? I liked this place until I went in for a pedicure and the lady did such a sloppy job painting my toes. She didn’t remove all of my old polish color and glopped on my new color. I had a French tip manicure done 2 weeks ago while I was on break and I was in desperate need of help. It was such a horrible manicure. It felt uncomfortable and it felt like the acrylic nails were ripping off my actual nails. Made an appointment originally to just do a fill but I honestly just wanted to take off the set from the other nail place. My nails felt so horrible. It made doing simple things like texting, typing, buttoning and etc so difficult. I'm glad I just told you to take it all off. It felt great when it was all off. I was skeptical about having a whole new set on again but wow!! It feels amazing. My nails aren't screaming. Thank you so much Tex!! I love my manicure so much!! So impressed!! I have been coming to this nail salon for a few months now after moving from up north. I've always had a great experience and the ladies are always nice. I have to give such low stars because I came in 3 weeks ago now for a pedicure, and within 3 days I had a terrible infection in my toe. While I was in the chair I asked her to cut out any skin or ingrown nail I had like I always do, and she did. It hurt a little bit but sometimes it does so I didn't think much of it. 3 days later I had a raging, puss filled infection in my toe. I had just started a new job and had to leave work early to go to urgent care for meds. I was put on antibiotics but the pain became so great that by that same night I ended up in the er needing heavy pain meds since it was almost like nails were ripping into my foot and leg. It was insane, intense pain. I can tell you that I gave birth 2 months ago and this pain was WAY worse. I was on antibiotics for the past 2 weeks with little to no improvement, so I went to another urgent care and got put on stronger meds to kick the infection. I'm coming up on 3 weeks post pedicure now and still have a super gross toe. I did go in and speak with someone a few days after, and all that was said was "sorry, it wasn't your normal gals that did the pedicure so I'll make sure you get her next time and it's free..." well I don't think I can go back there. I realize now that I have never once seen them open a sterilized pack of tools in front of me. That's the number one thing I want to see is that it's a fresh, clean pack you're opening for my pedicure. I get my nails done every 2 weeks religiously so I'm no newb to the process. I'm writing this review to hopefully better the business, not necessarily to make people not go there because of my not so good review. I just hope they can change their cleaning and sterilization practices, or lack there of, and make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. I have missed work, went to the dr 3 times, been on 4 meds. That's a lot of extra money I don't have to spend, so something had to have been dirty. I hope they can clean stuff up for future customers if they decide to frequent this business. If you do decide to go here, ask questions. Ask to see the manicure instruments removed from the sterilization package they remove from their autoclave. My nails were breaking off for no reason , they were crooked and had bubbles all over them so they were peeling off too, even though I got them a week and a half ago ... I just moved here from Southern California and have gone to a few different shops in the area and have not been able to find one that does a good job. I drove by Lotus nails & spa and decided to give it a try! Staff was very friendly. Got seated quickly without an appointment which is always a plus! They were pretty busy today but I did not feel rushed at all. Lina did my acrylics and she did an excellent job! She took her time and made sure I was pleased. They are on the pricer side. A few friends and I went here for the first time for a much needed pamper. We each got a basic pedicure. No other options were given. From check in to check out was maybe 15 minutes which is great for a lunch break pedi but not a weekend with the girls. While trying to select a color we were repeatedly pushed out of the way by a worker grabbing colors for other people who came in after us. We finally just grabbed a color, sat down for the quickest pedicure ever, and then left.This location is great and the inside feels more upscale than your usual place. I was hoping for more! I love getting my nails done with shellac (gel polish), but rarely take the time to do it. I got mine done here 4 weeks ago! They have not peeled up at all. Usually after a week and a half or two weeks they start lifting, especially when I'm washing my hair in the shower. I am so impressed... will definitely be coming back. Read Less

The girls here are very nice. It seems like many of them do things differently. So once you find one you love try to make an appointment with them. I've been to other places and they butchered my nails, so I'm happy to have this place. Appointments are definitely recommended as they do get very busy at times.Read Less

First and last time coming here... the lady that did my nails might have been special because she did the complete opposite of what I asked... Went here about 2 months ago and had Lei (I think), super bummed because she did awesome-- however, now she is on maternity leave. I got a mani (shellac) and pedi (regular) this last time. The mani was fine, Nikki did it-- she was very nice. The pedi was good, the polish is still on--actually lasted longer than my shellac (about 3 weeks now!) and I've been working out, swimming, etc. I do like this place, so will keep going back, just really hope my main nail lady comes back as she was awesome! Found this new spot I wanted to check out.  Decided to get a mani during my lunch period so I called ahead to see if they could accommodate; specifically said that I was coming during LUNCH and if they were BUSY or not as I had no problem coming later (my lunch time is not set in stone).  I was told come in today at 11:30...got there and clearly they were busy, matter of fact I don't think my name was even written in their book! I asked if it would be better for me to come later and was told no.  Waited a short period then was seated.  Picked out my polish, took off all my jewelry and coat....and just sat.  When my phone read 11:51 I picked my things up and started to walk out.  Then I was nicely told that I could be taken care of now.I WILL NOT waste my time with this place.  I completely understand being busy but this was blatant bad customer service. Lotus was clean and tidy, I was able to get served right away on a Saturday afternoon and it was kind of nice and quiet in there, despite there being other people around. I'm giving it four stars for being a bit above average, but not the best ever (a bit longer/more thorough leg massage would tip the scales for me).I just came in for a pedicure and he did a good job, perfectly adequate, but again, not spectacular. That said, he never cut into my skin as he trimmed my cuticles, which I feel like I should recognize as something fantastic, considering the number of people who have lately. I just moved here from San Diego in which I lived for 13 years and never really found a nail salon that I was happy with... surprisingly... since there's so much greatness in San Diego.Anyhow, Lotus Nails was the second place I tried and I'm hooked! Cleanliness: First and most important... it's uber clean!!!! This is a must for me in a nail salon. I don't want any disgusting fungus or germs up in my nail beds.Ambiance: I don't think it gets better than this. You feel like your in an exquisite spa. It's very pretty, clean and calming. They have two TV's with subtitles if that's your thing and they play a variety of music. First time I went it was relaxation music and the second time was country. I like that they switch it up. The pedicure chairs are very comfortable.Services: They have a great selection of services with great prices and so far they've allowed me to decide what I want rather than being pushy and try to up-sell. That's a huge plus for me. The Technicians: I go to Lina. She does a great job! She's gentle, thorough, not too fast, not too slow, friendly and the finished product is never less than satisfactory. I've seen some of the other technicians work and they seem to do a great job as well. They're almost always busy. Nail Art: I'm not too sure as to what extent they can do nail art. This is a great nail salon with fantastic service. Each time I've visited, the staff has been very polite, thorough and timely. The price is fair and there are many services to choose from. I appreciate they will do a manicure and pedicure at the same time, as there are times I may been on a time crunch. They have even ask what time I need to leave by, which is very thoughtful. I haven't had my nails done in a little over three years and have just recently moved to Tacoma with my fiancé so I was very nervous about finding a good nail salon. Lotus is my forever home without a doubt. Lina took very good care of me and even fit me around a scheduled client. I am SO in love with Tex. I've never had a full set acrylic done before and I made an appointment and she listened to all my demands! She's so fun and personable and we had a great conversation for my visit. She has years of experience and you can tell! I asked for a matte nail color with rounded tips and she went above and beyond. I decided to try lotus yesterday and was very impressed. I got a gel manicure and chose their new metallic color (they have many metallic colors). As of now I've had no chips, good sign. The staff was very friendly and took their time even when people were waiting for their turn. $25 for a gel mani is great and my friend got a manicure for $12! The reason why I give four stars is because the massage lasted for a minute, not lengthy at all. That was the only disappointment. Read Less

First off, this place is BEAUTIFUL ! I instantly fell in love with the decor and was positive I was going to have a great experience. I went in with a picture of how I wanted my acrylic nails to be done. And was greeted by Hana. Upon sitting down I asked her if she knew how to do ombre and she said yes and asked me to pick out colors. I started looking through some colors to match my picture but didn't see any so I shows Hana the picture and asked if she can help me find the colors. She looks at the picture and tells me it's just one color. I tell her, no it's a white and soft pink to do a French tip ombre. She looks again and brings it to the owner. The owner tells her it's color changing nail polish. Once again I say it is OMBRE ya know where one color fades into the other? Do you know how to do ombre ? Then she says ohh okay. Yeah we can do ombre. I am looking around I don't see any samples of the designs or colors they can do. So before she starts with the acrylic I ask her to show me a sample of how the ombre will look like and she grabs a plastic nail and starts with the white and then grabs a thin nail brush with acetone and drags is down and then says we only do ombre on glitter. I told her to just do the acrylic and I will find somewhere else to paint my nails. While she's doing acrylic I find a nail shop right across the street called Jessica's Nails and they can do ombre ! My pedicurist was WONDERFUL. I had a stubbed toe that had lots of dried blood and she not only glued it back together and cleaned it, but was very careful not to cause any pain. She took her time and did a fantastic job. My manicurist is also great too. My nails look fantastic. I would highly recommend this place because of their attentive service and wonderful atmosphere.
